Im soo disappointed E=MC2 didnt do better dan it did...i LOVE Bye Bye but it didnt really do as well as i thought it did...i agree it aint as good as the emancipation of mimi but the album is by no means bad at all!!i tink people were expecting more from E=MC2...eg lik another we belong together...

people expect a lot from mariah carey. people keep on telling her that she should preserve her voice but when she released E=MC2 (where she sounded so free - like she was really emancipated), people start criticizing her work. people nowadays just don't get satisfied at all. they expect so much from someone who is so talented over the past 18 years of her singing career. she has proven us enough! E=MC2 is a great album and i just can't stand people who do not appreciate her work!

You know, all I ever hear is "Mariah needs to preserve her voice" and now that she makes an album where she isn't singing super hard some of you are complaining about THAT! She has NOTHING to prove to anyone when it comes to vocal ability. She puts her heart and soul into all her songs and some fans still aren't satified. i agree with you, i personally like her old voice better when she actually sang on a song and showed off her vocal range. I think the cd is good in all but i've heard better out of her and this is the best song on the cd. what i really cant stand is the song "heat" its a bonus track and that song really is terrible. good opinion!

this album is a cross between Charmbracelet and TEOM, the songs are catchy like on both albums, but the vocals generally sound weaker. She has a couple good vocals but nothing that proves she can still sing as well as she used to, even as far back as TEOM.

i agree. The CD doesn't suck that bad, the songs are good, but she doesn't show her voice that well. In most of the songs she saves the higher register for the end (This song, Bye Bye, Wish you well) and it sounds good, but she can no longer sound that good when singing regularly.
