How to Dye your hair using a Sharpie permanant market.

Always use sharpies on my hair, different colours work differently if i use blue or pink it works really well, its better to do it on unwashed hair, colour it, straighten over the colours bit, sleep then wash your hair with a shampoo that doesnt strip the hair, head and shoulders strips it.

I dyed my hair with sharpies when I was fourteen. I was a brunette at the time and my bangs had a purple-pink tint for...well. Until my hair grew out and I cut all of the colored part out. I don't necessarily recommend doing this....mainly because it's extremely difficult to cover up with hair dye. But it's cheap.

I did this. It's awesome cuz Sharpies have a variety of colors and it's semi permanent it only stayed there for two days 😁

thats kind of retarted to do. im not trying to be mean but tht is stupid to use sharpie. ur hair is rlly light. you could use manic panic semi perminet hair dye without bleach and it would look way better than the sharpie. the sharpie damages ur hair. i hope this helps. and again im not trying to be mean im just saying what you could do instead of a sharpie.

@LiveLaughTheatre That was probably because you washed it with the rest of your hair.... mine will do that too.... The way I fixed it was by washing just what you color,and all you do is shampo gentally, then condition (You may want to condition another time before you dry your hair) and then you're done. :~) I hope this helped, and if it didn't, let me know!

Just so anyone else knows, we have a hair dresser that has been doing hair for over twenty years and has clients that travel far and wide to get to her shop. She has okay'ed this method but did say to make sure your hair was well conditioned prior to doing this.

uh.. if you use any heat styling things on your hair...won't it fry it? because sharpies are flammable.

@SuperLiveLaughLove91 No, it won't fry your hair if the hair is dry. A lot of your styling product contain flammable items..but they're not flammable after they are dry.

@SuperMimi55 The first.....day-and-a-half it might, but after it should be fine. I will warn you, you might want to use an old pillow case when you sleep because the ink can get on anything your hair is agaist for a bit... but some washings, your hair won't do that anymore.

@myserena99 As soon as you've finished drawing the color in you can wash it..... You will need to put some conditioner on after you do it to keep it from becoming too dry.... the Sharpies are really drying.
