I wanted to buy the first season on dvd but I didn't know about the movies until now. So now I'm not sure to buy the episodes or the movies. @lilpuppet1992 I'm awfully late to respond, but if you're still puzzling this over, get the movies. The series is fine, but the movies are absolutely phenomenal. Just be aware that the movies aren't easily available dubbed, so if you have any problems with subtitles, keep that in mind.

As a total Gundam fan I'm still in love with the series. 00 is really good you just need to open up a bit to a new type of Gundam. It gets REALLY good around the later part of the show. But yes I have to agree that nothing will ever be as good as the Universal Century. At least nothing I've seen so far, 00 is the closest. Give it another chance you may actually like it, I didn't think I would but I do =D
