  • I think doodling is a lot of times harder than drawing a portrait. Everything comes from your head.

  • awesome!

  • Fantastic work there, looks really good. Can I ask you a question? What method do you use to keep your rapidograph pens clean and how often do you clean them? I have several smaller size (0.25) and have considered trashing them because there are so hard to keep clean.

  • @nudnik1123 I use an ultrasonic cleaner. Without that using the finer nibs would be wasteful. They cost around a hundred bucks, worth every penny. I had mine for around 15 years. I clean my pens every few months.

  • @lakaumbucha Wow, thanks......never thought to use an ultrasonic but you can bet I will be using one now.

  • it looks amazing

  • that poor sketch book, what did it ever do to you?

  • Drawing looks like my poop

  • Really cool. I wish I could draw that but I draw war machines better ) although I love to see such good art :).

  • is it suppose to be just a mix of things what comes in mind? or must it bbe rlly a drawing that must look like something if you put it all together? xD

  • schizophrenia and drawing goes together fine..

  • want one of those pens!!

  • what size is that pen??? 0.13?? 0.18?

  • NICE SONG

  • great drawing, thanks for sharing with us ~jigsketch

  • please tell me what song this is! and whats a good nib size to start off with

  • I would suck if someone pushed you :)

  • this type of drawing is called "doodeling" right?

  • @mergim100 That's what I've always called it.

  • @mergim100 - who cares what it's called.. self expression, drawing, scrawling, doodling, thinking out loud, art, illustration.. what dose it matter? - i love the crazy details in this piece.

  • @mergim100 my old art teacher called it "brain-gasm" you let all your your minds potential explode and go free and see what you get in the end, even if it is a huge mess its fun.

  • i have no clue what it is but it pretty awesome

  • isn't this what computers are for..?

  • it may b a bunch of small shapes but to be able to detail them all , make it all work and flow together and it still b looked as an entire pik instead of looking at it as individual subjects is whats great about this ,alot of artist myself included make the noob mistake of cramming detail into a pik and instead of reading as one harmonized full of flow pik it reads as individual details .great job

  • @DRJonGRIM219 Thank you.

  • I think it looks really nice....but. what is it?

  • @franKii924 It's the inside of my head.

  • nothing that amazing lol its just a bunch of small shapes

  • @787310 True dat.

  • @lakaumbucha hey man, I love this its amzing! where could I get a pen like this?

  • RAPIDOGRAF :D ( albo przez T ) . - w POLSCE TAK SIE ZWIE ;d ! Yo

  • i really like this this artwork, not because every line is straight and perfect but because of how alive the paper is its very nice two thumbs up

  • what size pen is that?

  • @DrMonkeymint 0.18

  • Doodleling is fun. Just a pure explosion of creative clusterfuck. I love doing that.

  • What song is this and who is it by?

  • @blackberrysk8rkid I don't know, I'm gonna change it soon.

  • very unique

  • I think it's amazing. Go ahead bro

  • @RonnniB I already did.

  • I think its called "doodling"

It's basically drawing anything--any line or stroke... free drawing...

Same with writing. Where you just keep on writing without any solid idea... free writing.. I think... but that's just me...

  • wtf is this? :S scrap?

  • I like this style. Reminds me of Jon Burgerman. Nice work.

  • what exactly would you label this kind of art as? i see it everywhere and it amazes me. any help?

  • i love technical pens they just make me wanna draw non stop :)

  • Can anyone please tell me the name of this song?

  • @Bear5177 Yes someone please tell us

  • It looks like my room O.o

  • what kind of pen are you did you used in this vid.... ? i really wanna knw

  • What song is in the vid? I really like it!

  • Love it! Good job. Don't stop

  • Whait's the song?

  • dude that is a awesome collage very good keep up the work...

  • im pretty sure my math notebook from 7th grade has about the same amount of drawings and skill.

  • @ThatGuyDan01 It's not about skill it's about not wasting paper.

  • @lakaumbucha How is it not about wasting paper when I just watched a video of you wasting paper?

  • @lakaumbucha And also you can have high detail things but style is just as important.

  • @ThatGuyDan01 Looking at your videos, it looks like you still are in 7th grade so stop being a hater and grow some balls.

  • @ThatGuyDan01 .....that shows how your understanding of art.

  • This is NOT "Technical Drawing!" This is just drawing, set to a small scale, with lots of detail... But, it is not a "Technical Drawing" at all!

"Technical Drawings" display some form of analysis, communicates some idea or provides an explanation. Like a diagram, engineering sketch, or blue-print...

    Wage

  • @wagemeister The title on my screen says "Drawing With Techincal Pen" not "Technical Drawing With Pen" and i am sure it says the same on your screen too. Please think twice the next you try to look clever...

    Millnsy.

  • Ah, you changed the title! Well I made my point. Wasn't trying to incite a riot!

  • @wagemeister I should have a long time ago I was just lazy.

  • the fuck is this?

  • must have! i hereby confess how much i regret having my rapidograph destroyed while using it for the first time

  • what kind of paper are you using?

  • @mfirebird3000 Strathmore 400 Series Drawing Paper

  • this is something ill give thumps up

  • waht is this??

    hahaha

  • 30 people just don't understand

  • i want to see full view of the images.

  • i also sometimes just wanna draw something that dont really got a tema just draw...

    anyway that's AWESOME!

  • I love Kohinoor!!! Their fucking amazing ;)

  • thats the art i do. i have no clue what it is but it looks sick

  • um this is awesome but I don't understand it...

  • thats pretty cool!..also, what kind/type of marker(or pen) is that?

  • does his balls have earrings?

  • Im trying to improve my art skills and I was curious to know if I could get a few tips on a few things.

I use mecanical pencil when I draw, should I use something else?

Would it help to have a reference when drawing something so I can practice my detail on the project Im working on or should I draw whats on my mind even if I cant think of all the details I want?

And my last question, should I use lines paper to help me keep things even or just a white sketch pad? Thanks for the amazing Vid!

  • thats the most complicated simple stuff ive ever seen

  • fabulous

  • really nice! I started to do something similar (on my own style) recently.. i was bored during the tech drawing classes :P

BTW, what's the music? i really love it..

  • i found some old koninoor rapidograph pens and the ink they provided is now a solid, were can i get some ink?

  • @MrRundmc100 Hope the ink is dried to be solid inside the bottle, not inside the pens. You can buy India ink at an art supply store or online art supply. If you would prefer a pen that requires less maintenance (Rapidigraph pens require frequent cleaning and can't be left unused for more than a few days without removing the India ink), try Sanford Uni-ball Deluxe pens. They're available in several line weights, roll smoother, the ink doesn't smudge so easily, and maintenance free.

  • oh damn! This is so eyecramp drawing style! AWSOME!

  • i wish that was a tatoo

  • what the name of the song and love the art i can ever make my self seat there and do it

  • hey man thats an awesome drawing! If you dont mind can I know the name of the music or at least tell me where you found it please xD

  • there architectural pens i have a set of them i bought it for about £30

  • watching this video is strangely relaxing O_o

  • even though it looks like you're just dooddlig but you know what you're drawing instead of just going with the flow

  • nice pice of art!!

umm..can anybody tell me the name of the background music? ^^

  • how come when i tilt the pen like you did ink does not come out? it will if only i put it up straight

  • is that pen expensive? how much does it cost? is it staedtler?

  • @koalalumpar $25 it's a koh i noor

  • this is NOT technical drawing, this art.

  • to know ric is to at last understand his art...he's done this since high school and i have always been amazing by the way his mind zigs when it should zag. you cannot comprehend until you see him in action. he's from outer space, for reals.

  • What's the song? Love the art by the way, i do that stuff in art class all the time... my math homework has seen a bit of it too :P

  • I just wanna say......You are a BEAST!

  • That's not talent...looks like a teenager in history class trying to pass the time by making doodles on their folders.

  • @GuyaneseToDeBone Imagine if someone doodled a tattoo.

  • i think ur pen doesnt work correctly^^!!!

  • @MrDj52 I was frustrated that day, I wanted to smash the tip. I thought I was going crazy.

  • :O this is really good... i want one of those awesome tech pens right now

  • @r33na1 Me too.

  • I had one 0,5 ....I love it dearly, until it died...

this is new school what you're drawing, isn't it?

  • @Raumaru It's new school yes.

  • What are you drawing with? Is that some sort of tattoo-needle?

  • @Sgagnot It's a tech pen.

  • What size is this thing it looks like a .18mm

  • @Staroutlawjames It is. good eye.

  • that nigga was on SOME kinda crazy

  • messy organised i luv doodles like tht

  • Automatic drawing was developed by the surrealists, as a means of expressing the subconscious. In automatic drawing, the hand is allowed to move 'randomly' across the paper. In applying chance and accident to mark-making, drawing is to a large extent freed of rational control.

  • i think it abstract art....

  • it's kool and all but i just want to know

    wtf is that?! 0,0

  • WHAT IS THAT?!

  • I have no idea what you are drawing.

  • Neither do I.

  • squirls

    !!!!!!!!

  • thats pretty fucking awesome

  • not hattin or anything but what the FUCK are you drawing

  • I can't remember anymore.

  • @duschhead bro does it matter when you have such detail

  • @duschhead

    yeah what is it?

  • @duschhead That's the beauty of art? If YOU think what you are making is art then it is, others don't have to like it. Just you.

  • @duschhead Dosn't matter lol

  • @duschhead themself.

  • @duschhead I'm drawing whats in my head.

  • calming.

    real puzzling..

I just got a koh-i-noor, what size is yours? .25?

  • .18 is what I normally draw with.

  • ah wow, that must be so nice. unfortunately they didn't have that size at the store /:

  • @emptyvid haha well i use a .01

  • I really like it~ And how do you get it so smooth? My rapidopen is really bad and it squirst ink when I try to make it strait.~ Maybe you have a bigger nib then me.

  • I have a 3x0

  • The smaller sizes clog too much if your new to them and they are too costly to sit and wait for buyers. When I was 15 I became obsessed with the 4x0.

  • always lovedthis kinda of drawing, talent

  • That is quite compelling. Good drawing. Reminds of some kind of stream of consciousness activity. Too many "of's" in that last sentence I think.

  • thats quite good but you should do graffiti like me im going to put on my video and plz watch me!

  • lol its trippy

  • I thought it was really cool , pictures like that I can watch for hours xD keep it up man

  • i love your style!!

  • Thanx

  • fuck those doodles do some graffiti

  • Leave me alone.

  • Thats pretty cool.

    Love the randomness.

  • sooooo lame......

    sorry guy, not impressed.....

  • The drawings I do are for myself only. I never draw for the approval of others. You don't have to apologize. You could say my art is the shittiest thing in the world, but coming from you would mean nothing. Thanks for taking time out of your life to view and comment. lol.

  • well i think this is awsome :)

  • Wtf dude, if you do art for yourself, and don't bother posting on youtube.
