hey im 17 a senior in high school and thinking about signing up for the delayed entry program for the marine core. I just wanted to say that i do not agree with the war, yet their are people serving 5 to 6 tours in iraq and if me joining can make someone else go home to their families it will touch my heart in a way that is indescribable. i have great respect for America and all who serve and it will be a huge sense of pride that no one will ever be able to take away from me if i joined.

I am a recent widow of the war with iraq. My husband was killed in small arms fire less than a month ago. You dont have any idea what it is to lose a spouse. He was my world. You or someone like you was one of the assholes that protested at my husband's funeral. But the protestors were few. There were thousands of supports that lined the streets as the procession went to the cemetery. So fuck you. My husband died to give you the freedom to protest him.

How about spreading PEACE for a change...we can have soldiers build houses for poor people, rebuild after natural disasters, buid roads, etc...do useful, constructive things.
