  • Pete Townsend actually has said in interviews that he was inspired to write "Baba O'Riley" after hearing Terry Riley for the first time and that he wanted to write a variation on the theme of 'Curved Air' recontextualized for a rock audience.

  • No.........Just Deaf. You should read and learn something about Modal Music and then you might understand my comments. I can also draw comparisons with the Byrds "Eight Miles High" and going further back Miles Davis "Kind of Blue".

    It's all very obviouse when you know a bit about the history of this music.
