  • This is one big WIN!

  • you people take the fun out of this

  • What's your thoughts knowing that Wayne's version IS bringing back the Super Deal for a special 2-week series celebrating their upcoming 500th show? (Don't know the exact date but the producers have confirmed it on the blogs.)

  • I think only 5 won the super deal?

  • Thanks I love LMAD!

  • I think the reason they caneled the SUPER DEAL was the syndication version probably aired on ABC in some markets, and when they returned to deals over $10,000, $30,000+ WINS was just too much for ABC.

  • $30,000 this is probably the highest win for ABC at the time?

  • If I remember correctly, the big deal would add checks which would cover..with the super deal helping to cover the gift tax. The only thing I think they should do with the new LMAD with Wayne Brady is to continue the quick deals like he does during the rolling of the credits.

  • No $30,000 flashing on the screen.

  • That wallpaper was HORRIBLE.

  • that's the early 70s for ya

  • I just wish that people didn't have to pay taxes on prises, often forcing them to sell them.

  • As a game show fan I couldn't agree with you more How pathetic is that? Taxes are bad enough without screwing someone over when they when a thing then try to tax it. And I'm a democrat, but this had always been a stupid thing and a mean thing to do. :(

  • In these "super deal" episodes, usually the crappy big deal was behind door #2 because everyone always picked that door.

  • Oh, no!

  • Oh, yes!

  • I wonder what $30,000 back then would be in today's money?

  • Over $100,000 at least, I looked it up. Inflation is a bitch.

  • @Wolfman12395 I can guarantee you that $100,000 would be the top prize if they ever have the Super Deal on Wayne Brady's LMAD.

  • @edvideo1978 Or maybe just $50,000 or $75,000...

  • Fun fact: Stu Billett worked as an associate for Stefan Hatos-Monty Hall Productions during the mid-70's. Billett is best known for co-executive producing "The People's Court."

  • and now, we have the flat screen tvs..times sure have changed.

  • It's nice to see what things existed back then and what we have now. Without them, we wouldn't have what we have now.
