*grins* Yes, it is a form of mating dance, but no, they haven't spawned as both of the daft sops are male. Benny is a lush yellow, I will agree - it's where he gets his nickname of Beanie, because he looks like a baked bean!

Heheh, they practically are brothers nowadays, they've calmed down a lot and are even happy to eat dinner together.

*grins* If you weren't in Argentina, I may have been able to hook you up with one. Try caudata org, they're WW and very handy. Bear in mind babies are tough work though - that's why I have baby bearded dragons now!

*grins* My pleasure. And yes, bearded dragons (Pogonas) are amazing - that's why I own two now. They're very friendly, but yes, the equipment is expensive too. I added you just in case.

*grins* as long as the new one is at LEAST 2/3rds the size of the original, they should be ok. I mean, my two occasionally have a bicker. Spyyk is a big bruiser of an axolotl, scarred and mean looking. Benny on the other hand is smaller, neat and yellow - yet it's Ben that rules the tank!

i have NEVER seen anything like it! they are interacting ALOT! My axolotls never interact! it almost looks as if they are courting! i've been a long fan of spyyks! Glad to see he now has a friend!

*laughs* Thank you Teesha. It's always a bit nuts when two new 'lotls meet, both the boys are pretty active as a rule anyway. I'll be adding Benny onto Spyyk's webpage in the next few days, so keep your eyes on spyyk.blogspot com!

Try giving them some more toys, you'll be surprised at how much they work together to find out what it is. :D

*grins* Benny HAS bitten Spyyk's tail when he mistook it for lunch, but all is well, Spyyk's tail's healing just fine. They like to sit at opposites ends of the tank and fluff their gills a bit. Or sit on each other, or argue about who gets to sleep in the log house...
