  • Actually he was not collapsed over the piano, they said it was like he was frozen in place and Ivan Parker and someone else came over and moved him from the piano and tried unsuccessfully to revive him, Ivan said when he looked into Anthonys eyes, he could tell that Anthony was no longer there.

  • WITH TEARS IN MY EYES.......OH GOD OH GOD.....THIS IS SOOOO

    BEAUTIFUL.

  • Eccl. 5:9 For the living know that they shall die, but the dead know not anything. last part.

My own mom, my boy are resting in their graves awaiting the call of Jesus when he comes back for us. Remember those that are saved will resurrect first, then we who are living will be caught up in the air. The Bible tells me that. Lazarus was dead when Jesus called him back, he was not in heaven. It's beautiful that a mericiful God is not letting loved ones see the suffering on earth. RIP

  • @Pollymyluv to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord

  • touching sorry he is gone

  • You ought to hear his testimony on one of their live albums. WOW!

  • He was a master of the keyboard. Wonderful rendition!

  • He's now playing this in Heaven!!! I can't wait to see him!

  • Can you imagine playing this song and suddenly collapsing? To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord. Wow, how amazing is that. Such God given talent and God shared this with the world. What an honor to be able to listen to his music.

  • I can't imagine ever here on earth, having a better gospel piano player, or non-gospel for that matter, than Anthony! I could see the Spirit of the Lord shining in his face, every song he played! How wonderful to know that he will be accompanying us all in Heaven one day!

  • I'm so sorry Anthony is not here but I'm glad he is in Heaven. Maybe he's playing for my husband who died in may '09.

  • This is the song he played just before he died and went to be with the Lord. He always gave 1000% whenever he played. He is such a blessing!!!

  • This is such a touching story, brava Anthony, we will miss u till we see u again in heaven

  • he was one of the best. i met him once in his hometown cleveland, tn. i lived there for 2 years before moving back to my hometown in ga. may you rest in piece anthony.

  • chees4ever...Anthony is NOT resting in peace..he is in Heaven, rejoycing in the eternal, never ending celebration with Jesus...I know you mean well, but trust me, those who have gone on b4 us are NOT resting in peace, in the ground BUT celebrating making it home, to Heaven, where we all wanna go...

  • I had heard he died while playing this song, We Shall Behold Him." It was his favorite song. He played the last note, they said he was struggling at the very end, he looked at his wife, smiled, then ... he Beheld the very Lord he loved with all his heart face to face. Thank God for the promise of eternity with God and all our loved ones who have gone before us.

  • Anthony died of a heart attack while playing the piano while on a gospel cruise with the gaithers

  • wHEN DID HE DIE?

  • I was so terribly saddened my the passing of Anthony but never knew what happened. Is there anyone who could tell me if he was sick or just exactly what happened to him? I would appreciate it so very much, TY!!!! I am still sick in m y heart when I see him, I can't believe he is gone! He is with the Lord though and that is the only comfort we can get when we lose someone.

  • it was feb. 2006 and he was on a gaither cruise and he was playing "hear my song lord" on the piano with guy penrod and bill and gloria gaither singing and they noticed him collasped over the piano. He had a massive heart attack and they tried CPR on him for 45 minutes before he died.

  • They said that he had no previous heart trouble, so it was a total shock when he died of a heart attack. That just proves that we never know when our Lord will come for us. They say that God sent his angel to gather him home. One lady saw the angel brush past her and stood behind Anthony and put his hand on his shoulder, and then he died.

  • That is the most beautiful message. Thank you for posting this.

  • Anthony is really GOD'S miracle itself. You heard how his fingers were burnt in their fireplace when he was only three years old. Then he is the best piano player I've ever heard in my Christian life and now he's playing piano in front of our MAKER! What an awesome testimony...miss you Anthony, but we'll see you soon.

  • I will never get enough of this young man.

Please don't forget him.He is playing in heaven now.

    Loved you Anthony

    Mildred72

  • well at least he went home

  • WOW!!!!!! thats all i can say.

  • This is so beautiful....No piano player like Anthony.....I miss him so much. Thanks for posting this..... ES

  • I agree! He's one of the BEST! I can't wait to hear him play again in Heaven. :)

  • A lot of people asked why did God choose to take Anthony Burger on Home so early. That's one of those questions that won't get answered until we step into eternity. Until then we will continue to be blessed by this phenominal gift from God. Anthony Burger's music lives on. Thank you Lord!

  • Well done, good and faithful servant. Rest in peace.

  • This was his favorite song. Also, he had just finished the song during the Gaither Cruise, when he had his heart attack

  • I cry every time I watch this video. This humble man certainly had the spirit of God working through him. The way he died only eemplified that he died doing what he loved best in the service of Christ. I know you are with the angels Anthony. We shall meet when he comes again.

  • This song video is just wonderful!

The world lost an awesome loving talented man but Heaven gained!

  • I saw this on the DVD, but am so glad that you posted it so I can easily share it with my friends!!! Thanks so much!!

  • Wow, this moved me to tears this morning. So true and precious!

  • The accomplishments of some of God's people just awe me. I think God we got to hear you and your beautiuful music and we still have that...Melissa,,thank you Dear Heart for putting this on...you are a sweet girl.

  • It amazes me each time I watch this video. It makes you want what he has in the sense of the amazing passion he has for he does. Inpiring is I think how I would explain it. It is really too bad we will never no him via his concerts. My son, 19 months, just loves his music.

  • I hoover I'm not sure if you got my message or if I emailed it the right way lol ! , but thats okay. Could you ( if you can ) post anthony burger playing the theme from exodus on the I do believe video thanks ..

  • Anthony touched so many with his beautiful talent. He is greatly missed. Praying God continues to bless his family and friends until we are all reunited on that Glorious Triumphant Day of Christ's return.

  • It so sad that there are so many angels around us and they vanish as they came. Anthony was such a blessing for so many people. Hi music touched so many souls. God bless his family left behind.

  • He was such a blessing to us all. What talent! And such a gracious man. I miss him so much at all the Homecomings and on the shows. Gordon Mote is great, but Anthony can never be replaced.Thank God for all the times he has inspired and amazed us. We miss you, Anthony. See you soon, I pray.

  • Anthony inspires me over and over and today I played this for my UMW Circle meeting and they were so blessed by it. One of our members sang along so beautifully. I am sharing this with many of my e-mail friends. Esther in Brandon, MS.

  • You should repost without the ending cutting off, (just a little side note). Anyway, other than that, what is there to say! WOW! RIP, Anthony. We all miss you, but, we also have to remember, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!" Can't wait to see you up there!

  • As he says here, don't cry. He is safe in the arms of the LORD Jesus. It's alright to mourn, but also rejoice knowing that he is home free, separated from the troubles of this life, and that we will see him again when Jesus comes to take His children home. This man served the LORD with his life and God is blessing him now as he plays for Him in Heaven. He will be greatly missed. God bless his sainted memory.

  • To bad Anthony won't be able to see Jesus came. But he will come with Jesus when Jesus comes ready or not. Prayers for Anthon's family would be helpful.

  • My God, my God. I was surfing the net tonight, and decided to look up Anthony to see what I could find. Now I wish I Hadn't. I had no idea he has left us. I feel so ashamed. To say I am a fan of his. I didn't know anything. He really touch my heart with his music and ministry. To his family may God bless you and keep you in His care. I am deeply sorry for your loss. But rest assured he is in the arms of Jesus. Michael Jordan

  • Amen. Maranatha. We shall behold Him!

  • This is beautiful. Anthony is missed by so many people.

There'll never be another like him.

  • Thank you God for letting us have Anthony. Even though it was for just a short time, we will see him soon and he will be playing a golden piano when we march through the gates. Thank you Jesus for sharing him with us.

  • I love Anthony Burger...He is a blessing from God...He has a real God given talent...i play the piano...but i wish i could play as good as him.

  • Thank you, Lord! Thank you for sharing Anthony with us.

  • WOW. What a vessel. Anthony just let the Lord show Himself through Anthony. What an anointing! Thank God for Anthony Burger and the legacy he left.

  • This is so powerful, such amazing testimony. This song is so overwheling. It is truly inspired by God himself. I love this and it brings peace to me in my times of need.

  • It's hard to believe that it's been a year now. I still miss Anthony greatly, but know that he is home!

  • Thank you Lord for the many blessings Anthony has given us & no doubt he blessed you as well & he is now doing it in person..face to face with You Lord. We miss you Anthony!!

  • As I watched this for the first time I thought how precious Anthony's son was in playing Jesus...and how precious it must be for Anthony to now beholding Jesus now...the Jesus Anthony's son played. He is so terribly missed.

  • love it so much. please keep in on.thanks
