can't compare friends to arrested development, friends was a dumb show with dumb jokes, and dumb laughtrack so its audience would know when to laugh, and well AD is the total opposite of that, a smart show, with smart writing, briliant actors, and no laughtrack cuz its audience had the actaul brain power to get all the jokes, in-jokes, and all the random funny stuff that you actually had to pay attention to get, all in all, friends = waste of time, AD = needs to come back on the air

you shouldn't say that about Friends, Friends is a different type of comedy. Mr Bean was total slapstick but it is good comedy although it was far from intelligent. Friends' type of humour is mainstream humour, I think they handled it well, I enjoy Friends as well as Arrested Development, The Office, Flights of the conchords, it's always sunny in P.
