@ufrao98 Hipster has become a derogatory term, because besides any other features they're associated with being music elitists, wearing glasses they don't need and being pseudo-intellectuals. They also always deny being hipsters. All douchebaggy qualities if you ask me. But I know a lot of people who dress in a so called hipster way but are totally sound. Also met a lot of complete twats. Depends on the individual (like always).

I know who Arcade Fire is. They're my favorite band! People have asked me, "Who's your favorite band?" I've replied,"Arcade Fire" and they've replied back,"Arcade Fire? Never heard of 'em." That always surprised me!
My girlfriend didn't know who Arcade Fire was until she started dating me. I played their cds for her and took her to one of their concerts and she said that she likes them! She likes "Wake Up" but loves "Haiti" and "Sprawl II". Of course, Billy Joel will always be her #1 fav.
