  • Awesome! Love the arrangement.

  • I love all your videos, your passion for keyboards etc. and related synth-pop makes me smile. Keep making your awesome demos! :D

  • great- sounds like it should have been a demo tune! although it used to annoy me that companies like yamaha and casio put demo tunes on their keyboards that went physically possible by the user

  • @vrs1977 - I had the same thoughts when I got my first Casio in 1988.

  • Really cool!

  • more!

  • TEACH ME HOW TO PLAY THIS SONG PLEAAASE!

  • hell yeah man... dope as hell.

  • This is the best thing I've seen on Youtube in years. "Charlie Bit My Finger" pales in comparison.

  • All That He Wants Is Another.........Casio

  • that is soo awesome!!

  • I guess we understand each other's commnts? Score! YOU JUST EARNED A SUB MAN.

  • That CASIO Tone Bank bass is just KEWEL!!! I meant COOL!

  • @utoobepee - I thought it was spelled KEWL :-)

  • this is really nice! there is much effort behind this!

  • i shouldn't love this but the 80s boy in me just does!

  • Nicely done.

  • I got the CZ-101 in the mail, however the keyboard seems more flimsily put together than the MT-240. I don't know if it's just this unit (meaning I got a lemon) or this is what all CZ-101's are. It also has a pretty loud hum in the headphone output. The line out is okay, but the headphone output is not. Honestly, I like the MT-240, and HT-700 much more than the CZ-101.

  • Thanks for your detailed answer about the CZ-101 keyboard. I finally took the plunge and bought the CZ-101 on eBay. Still waiting for it. I also have a CT-240 and HT-700, which is kind of ince with its resonant filter. It can do some really buzzy analog sounds, too. Of course, I can't stress enough how I like your arrangements as well as video editing. You give all the sounds their space, unlike many people, including myself, who mix down to one unlistenable blob of sound....

  • Doing a good mix is something that comes with practice. When I listen to some of my old recordings from the mid 1990's I can say for sure that I would have done it differently today. Back then I had a "Jarre-Complex" that caused me to over-fill allmost every melody with synthetic strings. Later the drums were often too powerfull. But today I try not to overdo things in any way.

  • It seems like the CZ-101 has slighly larger keys than the MT-240, and the keys go down a little deeper on the CZ-101 as well. That means more playability. Is that correct?

  • The whole key mechanism is different on the CZ-101. On the "toy" models all the keys are molded as two pieces - one black and one white - and there is no return spring. Only the springyness of the plastic. The CZ-101 has a piece of plastic foam that acts as a spring and the keys are molded separately. I will not say that it is more playable because that spring-foam is not a perfect solution. But the keys themselves feels more "proffesional".

  • Man, that CZ bass sounds great.

  • for dælen da det her rykker!

    Tak! :-)

You should put up an mp3 file for donwload

  • Awsome ;D.

  • Hi, i found my casio SA-20 back on the attic and it still works :) its just way to old but it rocks!

But does anyone know how to connect it to your computer? I see the guy in the movie has been able to connect it to his pc... Anyone that can help me out?

  • The SA-20 has a headphone socket on the backside. But how you connect this to a PC depends on the kind of PC you have. If you are lucky there is a LINE IN socket on the PC that can accept the relatively powerfull headphone signal. But if the PC only has a microphone socket -or if the LINE IN is too sensitive - you need to send the sound through an attenuator or a mixer that fits the PC in order to get the right level.

  • Yo man this is HILARIOUS! I love it man, it's crackin' me up how much it sounds like something at a haunted house or a carnival LOL! Love the instruments.

  • =)))) very good) USSR sound

  • USSR?!?

  • i like your CZ-101 and all your other keyboards, to play on this masterpeaces you have to be very inspired.

your awesome by the way :D great to see the old keyboards in action !

  • Man! Your music is fantastic! I know this song. But once again your playing and video editing are first rate! Awesome!

  • Great version!

  • Sounds Great.

That beat is pretty awesome too.

  • you are awesome..too cute..i am blogging this

  • totally should be on a movie track

  • Thanks! Because of this video I just bought a CZ-1000 today. It's good to know that there are other Casio-heads out there like me.

Do you have any mp3s of this stuff? It's gold!

  • I have the MP3 files I used to make this video (and the other CASIO videos).

However, it is not full CD quality because when I made the music three years ago I used analogue tape for recording. But I have transferred it to MP3 and the sound is not perfect but still much better than what you can hear in this video - brighter and in stereo.

  • What kind of tape machine did you record this on, old man?

  • A Fostex A80 young boy! It can be seen in my video "like a virgin".

  • lol Nice collection dude, vintage stuff!

  • now that was FUN!

  • Very nice,Thanks for shaaring

  • I really like this! Because of my older sisters I grew up hearing a lot of Ace of Base. You've inspired me to try something similar... I think I might.

  • How about "Happy Nation"?

I can see that you have a lot of Casios too. And some of them even modified. Good luck with it.

  • Swedish Pop !!!! Awesome !!

  • what is it for swedis is it petter?

  • ?!?

  • very cool man :) This song was in my top ten when I was a kid!

  • OMG I LOVE IT, can u upload that beat so i can download it pleeeease!!?

  • Is it just the beat (drumtrack) you want - and where should I upload it too?

  • great video

the rapman was my first instrument

  • very nice mini-synths.

I think that you love casio keyboards

  • I find them fascinating because they are so small and still so usefull - not to mention cheap.

  • holy shit i love that snare

  • Man. Kids of the 80's and 90's had some sweet gear. Very well done, and recorded.

  • Your the CASIO King

  • I still have an ML-1 my mother got me when I was about 5.

  • I don't think are toys... no child makes that:) CZ 101 is not also a toy... but congratulations, I liked a lot... visit my videos also:)

  • well done :)))

  • awsome!

which is the deep sounding tiny keyboard that you are playing on right at the end?

I want to buy on and put it through my effects unit.

  • The one at 3:33 is a CZ-101 and the one at 3:43 is an SA-1

  • i love this music

  • That's fantastic, and all without a single midi cable :D

  • hey nice one matey.

  • typo ..... not addition.....addiction

  • and man that song used to DRIVE ME CRAZY (well still does) the ten goddamn years it played in europe (and southern Turkey in particular)....

i myself have/had a lil casio addition for a minute and got around 20 of those guys..mostly the really old stuff thou....a few of them are amazing in my opinion..particularily the 410v, mt-45, cz101 (which is in the video), mt-65/68 and suprisingly the mt 240 (which i thought would be very bad..i have a circuit bent version that actually has a filter mod

  • hilarious!!! i love it

    good work man...

    love the ending

  • Hi, my friend. Another good job. You make me think what you could make with instruments like gattobus( other of my favorites) has.

    Thanks you for the music.

  • I think more in the lines of "what could I make if had enough time"? I have a number of instruments where I have only tried out a small part of the posibilities simply because it's quite time consuming to fiddle around with the knobs and buttons.

  • Congratulations, you are a genius, to do a professional song with keyboards of toy it(he,she) is not easy, your you have talent, it is an Electone or a mini Casio you do a good work. (Very good the video and the quality of the sound) is your better work. Thank you.
