Ich habe 4 jahre in Deustchland gelebt . Von 1998 bis 2002 . Es ist sehr lang gewesen das ist wieso ich habe den deutche sprache vergessen. Wo kann ich die sprache wieder lernen ? Weist ist villeicht jemanden irgend welche videos aus wo ich kann is wider lernen? In You tube . Und zwishen wie findet ihr mein Deutch das ich in diese message geschrieben habe ?

It's more difficult. Swiss german is considered a variety of German, but it's so "varied" that's it's not mutually intelligilble :)

lol...die deutschen verstehen uns nicht aber wir sie perfekt..wir werden mit Hochdeutsch aufezogen und unterhalten...in der schule gilt hochdeutsch-pflicht!

OMG! It's very difficult to understand it because I learnt only Upper German (Hochdeutsch). Many times I think Allemannish is a mixture of the French and German lanuguages, but it's "only" a dialect of German.

But I wish good Luck for the Swiss girl who learns in New Zealand :)

Es ist gut, daß Hochdeutsch Standardsprache ist, aber Gott sei Dank, daß es so viele verschiedenen Mundarten und Dialekte gibt.

Swiss German is spoken with a RHOTIC accent (also it has it's large vocab unique to the Dialect). Dutch is Rhotic as well.

German in the North (Germany) is non Rhotic so it's "sharper".

the Swiss and the Netherlands are both originally parts of Germany. They were separated from the Reich after the 30 years war. Both countries are german but don't want to be any more, like in Alsace which was annected by France. If the GDR (communist East germany) would have lasted longer, the communists also would have claimed "We are not german any longer". Like the new Zealanders or Americans separated from England.

Switzerland is not really a country, it's a province of Germany that was separated from the Reich. Granted, it's long ago. But the Swiss people are Germans, and exactly the fact that they deny it, is the PROOF for that! Because all Germans are separationists. Think of Bavaria, or Alsace, or Holland. One of these 3 provinces still "belongs" to Germany, but if you ask the Bavarians (those funny guys in leather trousers) they are Bavarian not German! In USA its opposite.

We don't speak only German, We speak French, Italian, Romansch an German (Allemanique German, no german guy understand us)

Ja die Deutschschweiz war natürlich Gebiet von Deutschland. Aber man kann das nicht wirklich so sehen wie der das sagt ^^ Wir verstehen die Schweiz seit 1291. Vielleicht hat das Deutschland erst um 1650 verstanden. Aber auch egal ^^

Switzerland is an independent country and has nothing to do with Germany! We don't speak Hochdeutsch, we speak Swissgerman, French, Rumantsch, Italian.

It is independent now. But Switzerland has been a part of Germany for many centuries.
