Not all Weill in translation is good, most NY Broadway shows totally misrepresent the original text.
I don't know about about Paris or Brussels or Montreal, but Weill in French is equally damaged.

This iis the best interpretation of 'The ballad of the sexual dependency' (I think is better the word addiction, in the spanish translation 's been used the word Tyranny)

Voila comment il faut chanter la musique de Weill. Elle n'a pas été écrite pour des voix d'opéra, et donc s'y prête assez mal, si tu veux mon avis.

This is the 1958 stereo recording, supervised by Lotte Lenya, who recreates her role of Jenny.
This song is sung by Trude Hesterburg, who plays Mrs. Peachum.
