I was supposed to become an auntie to a beautiful neice in June. My brother and his girlfriend went in to find out the sex and ended up finding out she has Turner Syndrome. They ended the pregnancy today. I don't know how to cope with this what so ever.. they seem fine, but I'm not. They didn't give that baby a chance.. I'm so upset.
I never knew ANYONE with Turner's my entire life until the internet came to be......I felt so alone....so different....so unusual.....I love your video....great work!
Hi! I'm 20 years old, I have Mosaic Turners Syndrome. I'm from the UK. I was diagnosed when I was young. I think I was only a toddler. I'm at University now, & I study History. I have managed with Turners Syndrome for years. I just don't let it control my life. The hardest thing I've had to come to terms with is not being able to have biological children. But, my boyfriend and I look forward to adopting one day! My message to you girls is - be positive. Don't be defined by the condition. x
thankyou for doing this My daughter was diagnosed with turners while I was pregnant they gave her a 1% chance to survive They also told me that she wouldn't be as smart as the other kids they asked if I wanted to terminate my pregnancy I was very upset and my family was against me keeping her but I didn't tlisten to anyone and I had my beautiful baby girl who is now 21 months and hitting every milestone she should be she does have a lot of medical issuesbut she is a fighter and extremely smart
@babygerrl1734 the doctors told my mom the same thing. they told to to not even read up alot on it. now I am 14 years old and VERY lucky to be as healthy as I am. 80 or 90% of my cells are infected but I came out almost perfect :). I just have mild Scoliosis. and so far I am able to have children. life is great for me right now :). if you have any questions feel free to ask. :) from, Sammy
Thankyou very much for making this video, I was diagnosed with turner syndrome as a baby, I'm 14 now and I definitley do everything that a normal teenager does but at the same time it does bother me sometimes that I will never be able to have biological children like millions of other women can but I guess that will be easier to come to terms with once I get older. Thanks again. :)
@dolores1994able Hey, I have TS too and I'm also 16! You're not alone out there, you should try to go to a TSSUS (Turner Syndrome Society of the US) conference one time and meet all kinds of other girls who also have TS from all over the country!
I am Jamie I am 23 years old & i have Turner syndrome. I think you did a awsome job on the video. We all are like sisters because we all care about each other & we are always there for each other.
This is great. I have Turner's and was diagnosed when I was 14 years old (I'm 18 now and about ready to go to college). I still haven't really found a good group of other Turner's girls and this just helps show me that we're not alone! Thanks!
lalabadazz1987, I would like to be your friend. My name is Molly Van Gilder. I am the one who created the video. I have Facebook. Feel free to add me.
Here's a blog for Turner women and girls. The link is turnerwoman.blogspot.com (sorry, You Tube won't post the whole thing.) Never accept second best due to TS. Knowledge is power.
