Sadly the airport eventually cottoned on to Paul Garner after the umpteenth time and despite revealing it was for BBC Radio 1 they apparently threatened him with the police (to Chris Morris's amusement whilst on air!!)

In this post Ross/Brand universe you can bet that no one will pull anything like that again (indeed CM's entire show in '94 wouldn't be greenlit for BBC Radio 6 nevermind today's stale Radio 1).

It should be made clear that this is taken from the Chris Morris Radio 1 show back in the early nineties, and it was Paul Garner who actually went to the airport and asked for the names to be read out, IIRC. It would be better if the whole sections from the show were posted, with Morris & Garner discussing it. They did four of these names each week, for a few weeks.
