  • It was the blitzkrieg.

  • If you look on vimeo there is a version of this film with the track W32.Mydoom.AU@mm by Aphex Twin over the top. Works superb!

  • When that big fucker started dancing I rofled.

  • epic end

  • i would dance with the wood guy :)

  • Is it weird that I want one?

  • Now i would find that pretty awesome. Id like try to become best friends with him. Or maybe im just weird.

  • Or rather creepy

  • Creppy

  • I hate it when a homeless person follows me around because I didn't give him money

  • Wow

  • Wow that was strangely amusing

  • I'm sure this has a very clever meaning but I just can't be bothered to work it out :)

  • Brilliant. Wonderfully made and intriguing story.

  • You should be ashamed of yourself you prize wanker

  • It was the stress that these living metaphores created that forced the characters to react poorly. The monoliths broke the social 'boundries' and the characters didn't understand how to deal with it. This i feel reflects the way beings are pushed together in cities and the stress this creates. Or mabye i'm missing the point.....

  • I think that this is both a reflection on the human psyce and on the effect of industrilisation on it. The statue never did anything to the main chracter, he mearly presented itself in an unusual and socially awkard manner. It also personified modern industriliseation, as did the other stalking forms......

  • Is it just me, or does the stone creture remind anyone of the Monoliths from the Space Odyssey Series?

  • WTF!!!!!1

  • Excellent.

  • This is kinda creeapy

  • this soo reminds me of party boy from jackass

  • This, I thought, was scary. Very clever!

  • pause at 1:50 it says anal in the background

  • @DevennyTheGnome Subliminal messaging at it's best.

  • Another great film, amazing :) I love the idea.

  • i dont know why.... but i feel sorry for the stone thing for some reason....

  • I don't get it

  • nice ending

  • Absolute genius, well done!!!

  • Dancing can get you killed. We should ban it. For the children. The Canadian children.

  • i think that this is about the golem who was told to follow this person until they went mad [ex-wife maybe] lol

makes sense seeing as he's just following him around and happens to be made of stone.

  • Lolololol XD

  • 0_0 WTF?

  • I see fear of something we don't quite understand.

  • For me this is about obsession. How it can control you if you let it; how It can destroy your relationships and become your only companion...one that ultimately is mute and cold. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. ....the dance? A mockery. The fisherman's hook. Some distant memory of people...and an almost forgotten reason for obsession, why it started, and why it lingers.

  • i NEED to know the name of the song at the end... is just amazing!

  • schizophrenia + derealization

  • i would have given the stone guy a hug

  • @zergmanrules Really? I'd of taken a sledge hammer to his ass.

  • Perfect piece of film making.

  • CAPOLAVORO

  • This cracked me up, I love this

  • Lol I laughed when he started dancing

  • brilliant film making

  • very cool animation

  • omfg, lol

  • somehow it reminded me of Shinigami

  • U should soften him ! U see - what u afraid of ! drastic measures - for a life time

  • Oh, my answer had not reached a column of commentaries... I'll try later.

  • Terminus where ever you go where ever hide he will find you and he will DANCE.

  • What if it were like a mating thing? And if the person ignored it the object would just keep fucking persisting like an annoying nerd. But if the person danced back with it then the object would think it were a 'yes'. Then it would grab them and fuck them with 12" of blue steel baby O.o

  • Oh, this was a perceptible, graphical, sound image of the symbolic link, which was connected to the icon(* image) of the unpacking of shit. The guy was a human and he didn't have a super toilet bowl.

  • @input111 you shouldn't watch this on acid dude 0.o

  • All he wanted were friends. That were alive.

  • the clue here is in the injury, the mirror and the blood stain on the subjects projection of himself.

  • @ethomfactusest very nice!

  • brilliant

  • I can go so deep with this, it's amazing. It's symbolism, it's metaphors and the funny thing is, the abstractions is concrete. lol

  • amazing! there are no more words for this, also there is something, like if those living figures where some sort of representations of the real troubles that follows men... and in this case, the "follows" is literal....

  • lol i watched this stoned... fkn trippy dude.

  • cool odd but creepy

  • Great post production and location - bendy analog osc synths, ambience in place of score reminds me of some early 1970's film school THX1138 style e - plaid pants, puffy graphic-design styles, ... so disconcerting to hear a North American accent in such a Europaisch scene. - I remember some funky avant garde US educational films about pollution from that same era that had this vibe

  • dam it just dance with him!!!!

  • this was stupid

  • trippy stuff.

  • Ok, ill go with the symbolic depression.. But the dance?.. i dont get it..

  • "Terminus" is the Greek god of boundaries that had yearly sacrifices made to him in ancient times. Where do humans find the most oppression and boundary? Work and school. To me, the title is the name of the actual God in modern times who, now that no one is making sacrifices to him anymore, gets his own blood sacrifice by driving people to it themselves, taking the form of something that the target sees every day, like the subway lines, or a statue seen in a school book or court yard.

  • @SillyLitleGirl your not silly at all litle girl...

  • @YaBoyShmoo You're right, I'm not silly, I'm more quirky, really...oh god, I've been living a lie! A liiiie!

  • @SillyLitleGirl

    HOLY SHIT, AND NICE NAME

  • i dont get it, but it was cool

  • LOL! Humans! Give them something that doesn't make sense, & they see patterns & meanings that arn't really there!

This just 'IS'. Nothing less, Nothing more. There's no inner meaning or symbolism! This artist just woke up one day & thought to himself, "Wouldn't it be strange if we were all followed by an unwelcome Corporeal tellurian?"

Terminus represents a place where the Deseased go to except their fate, in Quaranteen, & Eventually Die.

  • I like the effects, but I didn't get the film.

  • I don't know if I'm right but if you watch it a couple of times you'll notice that all the artefacts are materials or parts of the underground. I don't know what the dance represents but I think it has something to do with anxiety.

Terminus might be linked to Terminal or Termite. I doubt he wanted to use the exact definition of Terminus. That's my opinion though.

  • I think that that figure ilustrated the imaginary weight of the life of that man. It is the weight he himself tought he`s carring. At certain point it catched up to him, he couldn`t have live with it. He hit his head, he forgot, he got his 15 minutes of "freedom" and happines and than "Kaboom" proceed to the next lvl.

  • !!!

notice that at 2.39 the "info-cilindre" is the thing that follows the woman at 6.24

also at 2.57 the weird decorative circles follow the woman at 6.03....

  • ITS WAS COOL BUT THERE WAS NO PAY OFF. like getting a handjob and then the handjobber leaves after a dozen strokes.

    a teasing was not pleasing

  • @RillyMonsterZero WTF!?!

  • This totally captures the vibe of The Shining. music and all. Love it.

  • Actually, to follow my last comment, I just finished watching the whole thing, and I noticed that the stone figure had blood on his 'head' where the man had also hit his head. The stone figures new target at the end also happened to be another man reading, just as the main character was reading the paper at the beginning.

The stone figure is already worn out by the time it meets the man. I get the feeling that it's a representation of the depression before a suicidal person 'ends' their life.

  • There's a lot of depth to the short, that's for sure. Without any dialogue, you have to rely on the symbolism. Each 'colleague' of this man has a different 'shadow'. The woman smoking has a wooden shadow, the man with thick glasses had the Periodic Table of Elements. Why did this man have a stone figure?

My first assumption is that the figures represent anxiety, and the appearance of the figures may represent how they handle their anxieties. Even that suggestion barely makes any sense.

  • this is really brilliant; i think this is about people who are overtaken by their jobs and feel they will never have time for themselves...you can tell from when he was on the phone canceling his plans, he looked at the thing following him.

  • nice

  • love it

  • Fine work

  • thats genial! but sad :(

  • Depression, or an addiction... Idk.

  • i dont get why he didnt just become friendly with it or accept it.

THats probably the point of this film. Awesome effects though

  • Holy crap... so you must die before he leaves... i wonder how many have died from that thing

  • the day inanimate objects take over... is the day the world ends ._.

  • im freakin out

  • Nightmare!!!

  • i m think the dancing rock is depression,if the poor guy can't cop with it he died

  • @pumpkinkingviolet No because he didn' commited suicide, it was an accident

  • this "guy" is something like angel guardian made of concrete I think.

When you decide to separate it away from you...you die

  • guys..all your videos are good but....i dont know...to much abstract..:s

  • freaky xD

  • so abstract...

  • Ma che vuol dire??!!!

    Bo...

  • this video is a bit too long, don't you think??

  • !!!!

They should train them and make them fight!!!!! Concrete one would kick so much ass, lol.

  • bleak and threatening - love it, love the score too, great 'music' (?)

  • scary.

  • Poor rock thing... he only wanted to make friends

  • Montreal Sherbrooke station

  • is it just me or didyour show go from 100 viewers to 70 thousand?

  • Very good, makes ya think - was he crazy, and all those things were just manifestations? Enojyable :-)

  • Whhahaha epic xD

  • Aww all he whanted to do was DANCE! lol

  • Yea..maybe if they just danced with it for a while, instead of get scared of it, it would just go

  • @escapelina i thought of that too

  • MONTREAL FTW!

  • Interesting that everyone has different opinions on what it means. I think that's the point, allow the viewer to interpret it and mold it to their own feelings.

I interpreted it as meaning everyone has their own demons and baggage in their lives that haunt them and hold them back from enjoying life. But that's just my interpretation.

  • Fantastischhh!

  • офигенный.

  • that was the creepiest shit i've ever seen

  • jbnibbh

  • lol really creepy but the end was funny

  • It's actually really funny, but whatever, to each his own. It's obviously some kind of metaphor about job related stress and/or the tightening grip of corporate America on humanity, including it's mindless and bland representations of art and assistance. I like how ambiguous it starts, and that it takes it's message just seriously enough without ruining the fact that it's a hilarious concept. Love the dancing :)

  • @futurestoryteller obviously.

  • There are a lot of indications of it, in the subtext of the narrative. So it seems pretty obvious. I'd call it an educated guess. I suppose only the creators could tell you what it's really about.

  • very good!

  • Lol.

    The end was hilarious.

  • HAHA the dance was awesome! very creative.

  • Is dying the only way to relieve ourselves of the mental baggage that follows us wherever we go?

  • It's amazing

  • Problems never disapear until solved

  • old

  • I would just dance with the thing that... i mean... why has to be everyone so paranoic about it!?

  • @johlu515 I agree. He's got some moves. Why would anyone not enjoy a rock/pillar "monster" expertly dancing for your enjoyment?

  • @DoctorWorm01 You can even dress it up... put on some mask or frienly face and tada! a unimaginary friend!

  • what if it never stops dancing? :O

  • @n3rdbear we all gonna die!! D:

  • we just can't run away from our problems can we...

  • this is neill blomkamps next project director of district 9

  • Lol I was like tell it sorry. And maybe it just wanted a friend xD. I like its little dance it had going on xD

  • has he gone insane or something and he see's all theses things?
