i loved this OVA. it was so touching, funny, incredible. that because:
#1: loved the animation, kai should be like this, not remastered but remade.
#2: i liked how they brought every main character (expect for chaotzu and tienshinhan :(
#3: i iked how it wasnt intense like in broly (still good though). i think everybody enjoyed the peace times of dbz (for myself i would liked to have seen more)
#4: it was cool to see how everybody did after buu, and the details (goten's outfit, etc.)

Stromsink,the reason why they all reamember buu is that Bulma wished that everybody that has been killed(except bad guys) by majin Vegeta to be brought back to life.Goku then came and stop Bulma from making the other wish(they can do 2 wishes beaucause of Dende) and said to shenron that they will make him come back later.

The point of the special was basically to re-introduce the DB cast one more time after so many years. Even with Kai out now, which is basically trimmed-down DBZ with new intros, this special was the first all-new thing since GT ended in... 96 was it? The whole thing was supposed to be for laughs and the fighting was an excuse to see all the old moves again. Hell, Gotenks even did Yamcha's Roga Fuu Fuu Ken. LOL
You also got to understand with the art that the DBZ movie was just created. about two years ago. Akira Toriyama's art style kinda changed. I know, I kinda hate the color a tad bit, it looks dull, but you just can't expect the folks to match the same color codes that were done almost 20+ years ago.

Seriously, this review was dumb. Your argument had "plotholes" in it. First off there is nothing wrong with GT animation. It's better them DBZ's animation. Second, it was even better then GT's animation, which was better then Z, which in turn was better then DB. Akira Toriyama never drew the anime and in fact in an interview said the anime rubbed off in his manga drawings. Also Trunks and Goten didn't kick their asses, it was pretty even. And Trunks and Goten fused as well.

I think this guy doesn't realise that this isn't meant to be another addition to the series. Its just a celebration of the dbz anniversary; hence the references to the originial element of the series (such as vegeta's saiyan armor etc).
i think vegeta didnt wear his saiyan armor in the buu saga was because the tournament did not allow for people to have weapons or armor and then he pretty much didnt have time to change during those events anyway, same reason why gohan didnt wear his orange saiya-man helmet lol

Correction: It was done by Akira Toriyama; it was one of his concept stories. But aside I can understand where your coming from. It seemed a little too quick, too cheezy, and it wasn't a serious survival movie like Majin Buu or Janemba. I would've loved to see more action - they could have used better graphics, and the villains could have been a little stronger.

Halo's have always been inconsistent in the anime on dead characters, like electricity around SSJ2 and SSJ3.

Seriously, this review was dumb. Your argument had "plotholes" in it. First off there is nothing wrong with GT animation. It's better them DBZ's animation. Second, it was even better then GT's animation, which was better then Z, which in turn was better then DB. Akira Toriyama never drew the anime and in fact in an interview said the anime rubbed off in his manga drawings. Also Trunks and Goten didn't kick their asses, it was pretty even. And Trunks and Goten fused as well.

the special wasnt done by toriyama. He merely had an idea and shonen jump took that idea and worked off of it. The special as they stated was "based off an original concept by Akira Toriyama" not made by him.

True but like what? 13 movies of a bad guy winning the whole time just for someone to for not decent reason get enough power to win is dull:/. This movie was the most like Dragon Ball you can get. It was good, not just some action packed thing where you knew how it'd end anyway:/.

I think this guy doesn't realise that this isn't meant to be another addition to the series. Its just a celebration of the dbz anniversary; hence the references to the originial element of the series (such as vegeta's saiyan armor etc).

i think vegeta didnt wear his saiyan armor in the buu saga was because the tournament did not allow for people to have weapons or armor and then he pretty much didnt have time to change during those events anyway, same reason why gohan didnt wear his orange saiya-man helmet lol

Stormsink you did a good review but your review is wrong, I think adding the same goku suit from the last freiza saga kinda fit's perfact and vegeta suit kinda fit's it to(if you notice in the opening of dbz the second one, he had it on, and Akira Toriyama did do this story line, people that it's not from the manga and all this bullshit, but it came from Akira Toriyama mind and anything that comes from his mind i agree with, So if you ask me the story was good, dbz forever even this one.

Well you're wrong. It had good action, the storyline wasn't great, but better still then the Saiyaman Saga. The fight scenes were choreographed well, equal to the Cell Saga, definitely better then this special. GT WAS GREAT! How can you seriously say it sucked? I'll bet a million dollars you never even watched it, and if you did then you didn't watch the whole thing. You don't have your own opinion. At least watch the whole series in original Japanese, then talk to me.

Actually, YES IT WAS whiten by Akira Toriyama and his apprentice, Naho Ooishi helped in the story. And Directed by Yoshihiro Ueda, who also directed some of the DBZ movies. Do your research before you post comments.

Correction: It was done by Akira Toriyama; it was one of his concept stories. But aside I can understand where your coming from. It seemed a little too quick, too cheezy, and it wasn't a serious survival movie like Majin Buu or Janemba. I would've loved to see more action - they could have used better graphics, and the villains could have been a little stronger.
Overall, the special was a short, comedy.

They may make more of these films to kind of pave over GT so it never happened. It's been a long time since DB ended in Japan so it makes sense they would try to revive the franchise and keep it fresh in people's minds since they are working on that MMO.

Right the villians sucked but I am not too surprised I mean they only surpass Frieza and Goku and everyone has gone way way WAY beyond Freiza. So the Villians proably only surpass Frieza a little. So Abo and Kabo sucked because of it. As for the end on comparing the movie to Buu saga I never thought about it.

The uniform thing and the people remembering the buu fight was weird to see but you know that akira hasn't work on dbz for years so I can understand that.They werent really trying hard to do anything the only purpose of this was to celebrate the anniversary of a company who has supported akira`s creativity for a long time and as a dbz fan I would say that it was really good to see how he made two villians as weak as dose two and still make it entertaining.
