You can open it bare handed. If you hit a lock the way the "locker thing" is pulled against its spring, for a split second you can move it to more opened position. Some master are able to do the same by vibrate-like movement of the hand. This video is somewhere on YT.

How do you get out if they're behind your back? Once you're out, then what do you do? If you're in a patrol car, how the heck are you going to escape without getting caught? Aren't the rear doors locked and only the officer can open them? Even if you could open the door and get out at a red light, wouldn't the officers know that you were escaping by the sound of the door opening? You wouldn't get very far, even if you ran. They would catch up with you and rearrest you and would face more charges

the problem is that there is another lock that you need the unlock before the actual cuffs and your hands will be palms out so the back of your hands are touching so you get near the key hole

A couple of problems, Any good officer will always double lock the cuffs, then your screwed, But then its still not that hard to undo the double lock and still open the cuffs, which is why black boxes and belly chains are used. Most of the time if you were cuffed and escaping from them you would be doing so in the back of a squad car which by the time the officer realized you were uncuffed you would A.) Spray with mace B.) Tased, or the occasional C.)officer would find a dark corner and use saps

the only downside about the shim is since to get the shim to work you have to tighten the cuff and on the back of the actual handcuff key there is a little piece of metal that there is a certain place on the handcuff where you put the back of the key in that when most cops cuff you they use to make it so the handcuff cant tighten so for most times the shim will actually not work.

Sorry to let you down guys. The paper clip thingy will NOT work.

A standard pair of handcuffs have a security pin that the cops or whatever will pull back before they cuff you. And this pin will prevent you from using the standard turn-and-push motion to open the cuffs since it locks it in place.

Although the first thingy the thin metal plate WILL on the other hand work, since it prevents the teeth from locking the cuffs.

And in addition to this, try doing it with your hand behind your back.

It took me about 45 min to break the lock with a simple hairnail, WITHOUT the security pin in place. WITH it, I never came loose since it's placed right below the small metal object in the middle of the lock so that you can't reach it will everyday items.

when I was throw into juv-e (juvenile detention center, or juvenile hall) I had a paperclip with me in the concrete cell, they made me leave my stuff: money, shoes, you name it, at the window. I had a paperclip folded up in a dollar, I unlatched my leg irons so I wasn't limited to walking funny. I just hid the clip in a crack in the concrete bench. the guard saw I'd taken them off so I was put back in cuffs and leg irons. took me not a minute to get right back out. the other boy was impressed :)

The first trick with the thin black stick thing that they shove onto the ridges will NOT WORK in real life. In real life, handcuffs are "double-locked", keeping the thin black key looking thing from working. Also, the second trick wouldnt work, because you would have to unlock the double lock before you tried to open the handcuff. But sure, if a dumb cop pulls you over and doesnt double lock his handcuffs, you're home free, homie. I just hope you can run quickly.

ziptie cuffs is actually the sameway as normal handcuffs. u could use a needle to pull the little pin down that grabs into the grooves. its a bit more trickey than normal handcuffs but it'll do the trick

when Police arrest you they double lock the hand cuffs ... single locks are a joke i can disable it in 5 seconds with a safety pin while using it as a key.. while the double lock might take up to 2 minutes
