  • yor cute xD

  • You're awesome. I love you.

  • Thanks for sharing and for your bravery. I hope things have gotten better over the past few months.

  • This whole dog and pony show is nothing more the a headline catcher on behalf of Obama. The whole point of DADT was to not allow sexual orientation to become a distraction. Its repeal was exactly that, a distraction. Gays could always serve, they just couldn't be flamboyant about it.

and lastly, honestly, its not very realistic to join the Armed Forces and not expect insensitive remarks about gays. and the military is not a forum for social progressive movements...

    this will hurt..mark'it

  • @Alexn1067 "The whole point of DADT was to not allow sexual orientation to become a distraction. Its repeal was exactly that, a distraction."

Actually, no. The US military has learned what our allies learned long ago: allowing gays to serve openly in the military turns out to be a "non-issue." And that's exacly what the Commandant of the Marine Corps--the top brass's biggest opponent of the repeal of DADT---said recently: iplementation has gone smoothly, and it is a non-issue.

  • @TheStrong32 its a little early to make a final verdict

  • Hey! Living in SD also, and enlisting in the Navy. I salute you!!!

  • Good video, Adam. You are brave and did well, and spoke from your heart. I can relate, since I was a gay man in the military myself, back in the dark days of the gay witch hunts in the military in the 1950's and 1960's. I have seen atrocities against many of my comrades when they were found out. As you said, when we see evil and say or do nothing, we are just as guilty as the perpetrators. Good luck to you, and thank you for making this video. Cheers!

  • Adam-your gr8 advice speaks volumes today and forever.time will pass in the next few years-people in the future will say that DADT-should never ever been made policy in the first place-and thanks Adam for your service.i was in the military over 30 yrs ago.im going to workout-and the healthclub is in the strip mall near a military recruiting office.im going to pop in-and say a few nice words to the recruiters.

  • I love it dude, I demand more videos. I'm also in San Diego we should drink sometime.

  • I just wanna say your awesome for posting this video! I am currently in AIT training for the army and now that I am here I have never been so afraid to be who I really am so I guess I am back in the closet :p and its the same here what your going through too :/

  • Proud of you for who you are and what you are doing for our country!!! Stand tall and proud. From a USAF vet.

  • Army vet... Good job on the video

  • It's about time!!! I am so glad to be alive in this moment - it should have always been this way. <3 Live and let live!

  • Navy vet here: Awesome video! SALUTE!

  • Congratulations, Adam. Thank you for what you do!

  • Adam, YOU are an inspiration and I truly wish nothing but the best for you. Stay adorable!

    Namaste

  • if i wasn't 15, and i was older i'd so marry you :L

  • I'm proud of you! ;) Thanks for your service and your bravery! Keep true to yourself. BLess you in all you do!

  • You are amazing, and incredibly brave. Hold your head high!

  • Amazing. I wish i could say "I am gay" when i was in ,but i was in before DADT. I went thru 5 years of hell hiding it in the USAF. Thanks. I agree with everythng you say, but really if someone says something homophobic, you need to report them. it is not cool. hopestreet11@yahoo.com. i'll e mail ya. You have all my respect. Be out and be open and be safe. Randy

  • What is awesome is not just your life now, it is your video, as well. You're giving young people hope that their lives will improve, and you're helping your fellow gay military members know that they are not alone. Maybe this will assist some more of them in coming out, too.

By speaking up and taking a stand against homophobia and slurs, you are making life better for gays in the military. The more openly gay soldiers there are, the more the attitude gays will change. Stay brave!

  • Good for you...! Happy that you're Happy.!
