  • Sea shepherd are REAL heroes of the world. SHAME on governments for not sending in their navies to stop the illegal horrors of the monstrous Japanese

  • The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is a non-profit, marine conservation organization based in Friday Harbor, Washington in the United States. The group uses direct action tactics to protect sealife. Sea Shepherd currently operates the vessels MY Steve Irwin, the Bob Barker, and the MV Gojira, and most of the group's recent activities take place in international waters. The group has a strong focus on public relations to spread their message via the media.

    sea shepherd is the best

  • How could you not like this video? I'm ex Royal Navy. If you need any engineers in the future let me know!

  • Anyone knows the name of the song??

  • Do you affirm that principles or opinions are appealed by violence? If so, Al-Qaeda of 911 cannot be denounced. It becomes a double standard.

  • Sorry for double posting, but I have tried everything to get him to understand. He thinks that ramming them does not do anything. He thinks butyric acid is pointless. Can anyone help is convincing him that they do do something?

  • My friend is a stupid basterd who doesn't believe in Sea Shepherd's actions. It's so annoying having to listen to "Sea shepherd has not done anything significant to effect whaling. Does anyone else have this problem?

  • so brave sea sheperds....

  • i really think Paul Watson should get another ship when they had it when it was Robert hunter and Steve Irwin and they both attacked the whalers i thought that's a great idea now sense its just Steve Irwin the whalers can team up against them and keep the Yushin Maru far apart , i heard about Greenpeace that's bull shit to me that don't do nothing but that one time they come fronted the Oriental bluebird that was one the best thing they did but the whalers are doing illegal not sea sheperd

  • @trinkking2

They have the Ady Gill now, Former Earth Race

  • @Remco1901 5 months ago you think i'd know that lol but they need another big vessel like the Steve Irwin to my opinion

  • sea sheperds are illegal eco terrorsists

  • That's the whalers you're talking about.

  • @Japanese152 you are stupid

  • Awesome !! nice work keep it up .

  • 1:39

    that was breath taking

  • Somebody buy sea shephard a fully armed submarine lol

  • no...a Iowa class battle ship with 12 16inch cannons!!!

  • You go, Guys !!!

Stop thos MF killing wales !!!!

  • good work guys! more money to Sea Sheperd

  • i was just thinking

if whalers continued to hunt whales in the sanctuary even though they had been warned about the law

couldnt that be considered resisting arrest

and thus force could be used

  • I love the SSCS, They are most probably the only hope left to the whales , seals and other sea life.

  • Anyway,

the killing of whales has to be stoped!

    Sea Shepherd will do it!

    Japanese whalers, run.....!!!!!!!

  • how many boats dous the she shappert has

  • They have 3 ships. The R/V Farley Mowat (originally called the Sea Shepherd III), the Steve Irwin (formerly the Robert Hunter) and the Yoshka (originally the Sirenian), an ex-US Coast Guard patrol boat now on guard duty in the Galapagos National Park .

  • man how cool

it's realy good that this organasation excist.

    whales are NOT FOR HUNTING

  • @zingtea, apparently, the Farley Mowat was sold. You forgot the M/V Bob Barker.

  • @hollandiadj, as of now, Sea Shepherd has two ships. The M/Y Steve Irwin, and the M/V Bob Barker.

  • Awesome! Heros of the ocean

  • whoever voted this comment as bas must be a complete retard

  • great, great stuff............

i'm surprised at how much controversy Paul Watson raises though...he's clearly got the balls & the fund-raising nowse to do it....

  • paul watson must have bigger balls than the whales

  • paul watson is a hero, don´t buy japonese things in 14/02 /08 plis. fuck the japanese people

  • greenpeace is too sissy, they are opposed to sea-shepard's actions.

if illegal whalers start fitting armaments, the protesters will make sure they're registered with a country; attacking them is an attack against a ship's country

  • The Japanese Nisshin Maru had a sailor killed in a ship fire resulting from greenpeace actions. Is Sea Sheapherd prepared to accept such consequences, how could someone live with that?

  • That's incorrectly assming that Greenpeace or Sea Shepherd had something to do with it.

  • If you absolutely have to make inane accusations of an organization whose charter emphasizes the protection of life, then, please, proved anything in the way of proof. Kid.

How can you live with your nutty accusations?

  • 007canada007<-----

Your accusation is Bullshit, Sea Shepherd had nothing to do with the death on board the Japanese ship. It was Japanese crew error unrelated to this, it has been widely reported in both Japanese news and abroad!

    Don't make stuff up!

  • Yea, it was just a freak accident. The fact that the Greenpeace Eco-terrorists were trying to disable the same ship that caught fire was just a coincidence... Theres no evidence, but seriously though, I wouldn't put it past them...

  • You wouldn't put anything past what you hate. Anyway, Greenpeace never tried to disable the whaling ships. They made films and waved banners.

  • So ramming them and trying to foul the props with a rope doesn't count?

  • It would count if Greenpeace did anything of the sort. It's Sea Shepherd that actually intervenes against the criminal mass murder of cetaceans.

  • Ow man this is so bad. You don't even know how this Sea Shepherd messes up as bad as the whalers do. If they intervene with such a vessel, no matter how good the intentions a new vessel with try to catch twice as much next time, solving NOTHING. This nonsensical violence doesn't solve anything.

  • Whalers pretty soon are going to start embarking weapons in their ships. You hit them with what your ship and they are going to respond. My point is that these tactics can get someone killed very easily.

  • Volunteers weren't let onto the Sea Shepherd ships unless they said they were willing to risk their lives.

  • Just to be abstract;

were I to live in the sea and were I to be threatened, believe me when I say that I would gladly put your chilling corpse under a rock in the deep, black ocean and take my children there on day trips to laugh and play while the crabs sniped away at your horrid, rotting remains.

So I assume people who oppose mass murder in the sea would also defend themselves. That's all I'm trying to say. See?

  • Is there really any sence to this? I am all for defending a species but the Sea Shepeard's crew skips ahead to reckless, even stupid decisions. Bumping other boats? Yeah how noble of you. Let the law throw it's own punches, don't throw the punches fo it. Ramming other boats won't help, you can make a point without physical contact. Jerks.

  • The law doesn't throw any punches. If it did, Sea Shepherd would not be there.

  • I repeat, "You can make a point without phisical contact. Jerks."

  • Greenpeace follows your line of thinking; they paint slogans on the whaling ships and hold up signs - they even put inflatable boats in front of the harpoon to obstruct the whalers' aim, but the whalers ignore them and keep killing whales.

Protesting by itself can't do the entire job of enforcing the law.

  • If you care so much for these animals then sue. Take the whalers to court, if what they are doing is illegal then go ahead. If you care so much.

  • Again, the purpose of physical intervention is to PREVENT the deaths.

  • You're really not very good at this are you kid. The court system doesn't work with pirates. They kill and kill and 10 years down the road we weep over a species that is no longer viable. Sooooooooo the killers should be stopped before it gets to that point. Governments don't much care so someone has too.

    Enjoy the show!

  • No vessel must be attacked or hit on intention. What happen if you kill someone? I understand cutting the path of a harphoon but is it worthy this macho display?

  • It's not just macho display, it's to keep the whalers running. They can't kill whales while they're fleeing.

  • I'm on your side but if I was the Captain of that vessel I would send you to the bottom of the sea.

  • Maybe you would, but these whaling captains would rather get as far away from Sea Shepherd as possible.

  • I bet they don't actually care at all, as long as they get paid to catch whales. Which is exactly what should be fought against instead of ramming boats that pollute the water. (Yes, the Sea Shepherd runs on gasoline too, so they're just as naive and are polluting the areas they visit just as much.)

  • more of this!!

  • Yes, there will definitely be more opposition to whaling (at least in the near future).

  • This video urges people to misunderstand Japs.

I'm a Japanese teenager , but I have never eaten meat of a whale in my life.

Actually almost all young Japanese people haven't experience eating it.

Today we Japanese never go whaling for a daily eating.

The notion that only dolphins and whales must not be killed is biased.

why fucking Americans kill many cows more than necessity?

why Americans are killing many people today in war?????????

  • I'm an American teenager, and I am vegetarian.

This video urges people to oppose whaling. Americans kill millions of cows because they taste good, the same principle many people apply to whales. This is due to human greed and arrogance. So is the USA's warmongering. Slaughtering thousands of whales does not make Japan better than a country that slaughters thousands of other sentient beings. (The word "sentient", to me, applies to any living thing with a brain.)

  • Are cows endangered?

  • No, but they are subject to horrific cruelty and they are sentient. I was telling todorokipooher that he shouldn't think that whaling is any better than factory farming or waging war. He's just pointing the finger at someone else to defend the barbarism carried out by his government.

    BTW I'm vegetarian.

  • This is just sickening. People such as these are in my eyes only a band of troublemakers with too much money(ships cost money and all) and time on their hands.

Sure im against illegal whaling. But im as much against illegal acts such as theirs. Ramming ships, endangering human lives, and so forth

  • Eh? The Kaiko Maru cut off the Robert Hunter. If you look at the whalers' video, you can see that the Sea Shepherd ship's wake is completely straight; they didn't turn for a ramming.

  • It seems my good man that you need to refresh your knowledge of the general rules of sailing. any boat comming up from behind is obliged to give way to the ship its passing. So no matter how you look at it the Robert hunter is at blame for not abiding by the rules of general seafaring. And general assault on other vessels is also clearly in violation of the laws in almost every country in the world. (smoke bombs and such agressive behaviour)

  • If they want to do something alert the coastguard, maybe keep following them to report positions as they go. but those acts they commit are just wrong.

Dont get me wrong. im against illegal whaling. Its just that im as much against these kinds of activities as well

  • How would you propose stopping pirate whaling? Telling the Australian or New Zealand Coast Guards to take care of it? Good luck with that; I wish governments cared enough to make vigilantes unnecessary.

  • We all wished for that my friend. But what does it help to break the laws of which our society is based? For example. I despise the people driving their large SUV's polluting like theres no tommorow. Should i buy a truck and ram them?

  • fucking japanese

  • Well that should only apply to people who are mentally retarded. Any people with a normal IQ should dictate for themselves if they want to be parents or not.

  • Haha, that would be recieved with opened arms by all the poor families in the world. The reason the human population is growing so rapidly is because of the many poor people who need large families so the kids can go to work at an early age. Otherwise hundreds of millions would starve to death and die. So unless your're prepared to kill off several hundred million people, dont come up with suggestions about global birth control. IQ tests? What does that have to do with birth control?

  • IQ tests would keep the majority of humans from reproducing; you'd need at least a certain IQ to be allowed to have children.

  • Controlled how?

  • MUCH much contraception, or making people go through an IQ test to be parents, or something...

  • Its in our nature, wether you want to admit that or not. It will take centuries before this world is sucked dry and as I said, we will most likely be moving to other worlds by then and start sucking them dry as well. I suppose Agent Smith in the Matrix had a point when he described Mankind as a virus ^^

  • I know it's in our nature, and that's why the global human population needs to be controlled.

  • It will take a long time before enough species have died so the planet is beyond redemption. I bet my right testacle that most if not all humans have left this rock or are in the proccess of doing so by then. Humans need to constantly expand, exploit and sadly to some, kill other species in order to evolve and survive. If you disagree then take a look at our history and get with the program.

  • That way of living is unsustainable. Species that are overpopulated (i.e. humans) die once all available resources needed for survival are depleted, much like a virus after it's killed its own host. Humans in general have been ignoring the basic natural law of interdependence. What humans have done throughout history isn't necessarily the only possible way to do things. Humans do NOT need to constantly expand, and they do NOT need to constantly OVERexploit resources.

  • these guys are heros- I'm in awe- I'm going to their web site now and donating money - please do the same

  • BRILLIANT

  • Darwinism

  • If Darwin were alive, he could tell you about interdependence. Humans can't survive if they're the last species standing.

  • We must protect the whales! Hurry! They are dying! Nevermind the people in Sierra Leone who had their hands chopped off so they couldnt participate in a democratic election. Nevermind the hundreds of thousands of people being slaughtered in Darfur. Nevermind the Iraqis who are living in constant fear of carbombs and American heavy handedness. Nevermind the North Koreans who starve in a Stalinist state. Nevermind the millions of people who suffer every day until the last day of their lives.

  • You don't need to completely ignore either one. I don't necessarily value humans over whales or whales over humans, but whales will likely disappear sooner than humans unless urgent action is taken for them.

  • STOP KILLING WHALES!

    STOP KILLING WHALES!

    STOP KILLING WHALES!

    ass: BRAZIL!

  • Thanks, you are doing a good job

    good luck

  • Animals are much more important than humans.

Our species is the worst on the planet, and the world would be a better place without us..

  • Yeah, you guys hauled ass just in time for the Japanese to send out a distress signal, which went unanswered by you. Don't worry guys, nothing major, just a dead sailor and and a disabld ship that was almost an eco-bomb. Need I remind you, they helped you guys out when one of your zodiacs went down.

  • As if. Sea Shepherd answered the Kaiko Maru's distress signals and was met with radio silence. The Nisshin Maru caught fire long after Sea Shepherd ran low on fuel. No big deal, just 500 dead whales in the Southern Ocean Sanctuary.

  • I'm so sorry zingtea and I can only hope you find in your heart to forgive me. It's all so simple; the end of this video is me, is who I am, and what I love. The greatest gift human beings can ever give animals is to just leave them alone. So why do we struggle??? why can't we???

  • I just don't see a conservation group when I look at the sheps. I see what we're all truly meant to be. Angels on the side of good and decent caring custodians of the planet. God has angels all over the world, and on the ocean, we know where they are. Sea Shepherd for life!!! Bless you zingtea

  • Thanks for your good work Sea Shepherd

  • STOP KILLING WHALES!

Thank you SS, for being there.
