  • I don't care about space shit

  • @asdfxcxv good for you

  • @jayson4446 Hey man I changed my mind, space shit is str8 fonk

  • @asdfxcxv hahaha

  • La respuesta "a todo", se encuentra ahí...Felices, felices, y sobre todo; ¡libres! son aquellos/as, que "saben" esto.........................*

  • First destructive solar flare was recorded in 1859. Telegraph poles were on fire and telegraph network were down. After careful study, next event was already foreseen with 90% life wipe out but Scientists coded the actual date in Religious way to prevent people from panicking (late 19th century). Micheal the Archangel was the key where he defeated Satan and save the Earth from burning in Hell. 2012 - 1859 = 153.

Search 153 that relates "Micheal the Archangel" in Google. You'll be surprised.

  • @pogpog28 and who carefully studied that?

  • thinking about space always makes me feel uncomfortable... because everytime i think about it questions start poping and i know they will never be answered, well atleast for me...

  • @XxvoleistulxX Like what?

  • @Keinlicht well if there is life... and if it is what it looks like, how big this universe is, can we ever explore it... ?and thats just few from many others hehe. if u wanna know what else i ask my self about space ill tell u.

  • @XxvoleistulxX Of course we can explore it, we're doing so right now. Certainly we have great obstacles to overcome in the form of the political and economic systems, but should we some day dispense with these hindrances i think the stars are fully within our reach,

  • Incredible..

  • Peace!

  • sunbirth all planets

  • So our earth is always protected by a magnetic field? Sweet. We good then.

  • Best video 2007

  • Also, the music is called "Porcelain" - By "Moby"

  • People these days don't stop and think about the vast "life" outside of planet earth. People only think about how they hate their work, they're life, etc. Some people don't think about it even once in their entire lives. Life is amazing and (most) people take it for granted. To think, we're not even a pixel compared to other celestial bodies like our sun...And our sun, not even a pixel compared to others...It's truly amazing...

  • uau, the sun is Star that radiates more Green vsisible light than any other color. or fequency.

  • Cool thanks :)

  • A man told me the sun is an elaborate hoax, it doesnt really exist, apparently its just a baseball, at first I didnt believe but then I stared at it for like five hours, and sure enough, he was right, its just a baseball. On a side note, I am blind now.

  • song name???

  • @ZethShuffler Porcelain by Moby

  • PERFECT SONG FOR SUCH A BEAUTIFUL STAR OUR SUN

  • The music makes it beautiful lol

  • god...who we are?

  • COOL!

  • The sun is not green, it's orange. Any hobo knows that.

  • what's the song?

  • @Mattiijenks101 Porcelain by Moby

  • Great vid. I especially like the animation of Earth's magnetic field creating the Northern and Southern Lights.

  • Just think, sunspots are vortices in the magma goin down to the core. They are the size of Earth, the universe is amazing.

  • love it

  • wish we could send a satellite like this to observe 2 stars orbiting eachother at a very close distance from eachother

  • This video made me fall in love with science.

  • @shamshi22 makes me want to live in space my entire life time

  • BTW amazing video. Thanks. Just lost it to some degree there seeing the god botherers all over the show... typical "Ooh science, I better say my rehearsed 2 bits.."

  • WTF has fucking christ got to do with this? Jesus christ cant jesus christ fuck off out of the solar system for once?

  • @fulaingt I couldn't agree more. Damn theists feel they have to inject god into everything.

  • why dislike without the sun we wouldnt be here

  • Lovely piece PHJ - well done

  • Just imagine...the Sun is XZxillion times hotter than the largest nuclear explosion.... and a representation of the wrath of God as the Consuming Fire. All this will be manifested starting May 21, 2011...and ending on October 21, 2011! Check it out!

  • fantasic!

  • what happened to the web site, soho? ive been trying to go there but i keep getting timed out...first it was blocking real time images and now its gone

  • Wonderful!

  • Wunderschön und erhellend zugleich.

    Danke für das Video. ;=))

  • @hr110391 thank you!

  • your life's just not earth,.. :)

  • The universe is unimaginably, speechlessly amazing. It's unfortunate we still don't have the technology to see so much more of it. I'm glad the future generations will though

  • @AC130EMPYREALOops. According to the Bible, we are the last ticking generation. End will begin on May 21, 2011 and end on October 21, 2011. Check it out for yourself. No one can disprove it.

  • @extravirginclean Are you Christian? I am also.

  • @extravirginclean and yo ucant prove it either. of course no one can disprove a stupid theory like yours. But you sure as hell cant prove it. Just because some dumb fucking 2000 year old book says its going to happen, doesnt mean it will. so when this "end of the world" (another fucking end of the world christian prophacy) comes and passes and nothing happens. You must kill yourself and do the world a favour. ok :-)

  • @bobby472

Yes, we Christians are morons. Isaac Newton, James Clerk Maxwell, Galileo Galilei, Johannes Kepler, Blaise Pascal, Michael Faraday, all of us. Just complete morons. Morons who saw the vast gulf between order and chaos, life and nonlife and concluded that God exists. I am so glad your enlightened response will help set some of us on the intellectual path. And that old book told us ridiculous notions like the universe is continuously expanding and is bounded! How idiotic!

  • @357MagnumBob exactly. now you are seeing how moronic your religion is. oh and just because the universe is expanding now, doesnt mean it will forever. once again you make a claim you cannot prove, yet you claim it to be true. ugh, when will your kind learn to stop opening your mouths.

  • @bobby472 ........fucking alien

  • What is this song called?

  • @songbird8888 its called Porcelain by Moby

  • everybody ... somebody states that the sun is dying ..so we need to collectively heal the sun, for humanity, galaxy and life in general ...

meditate and see the sun is healing and sustaining Earth for eternity :D

    love and peace

  • @2012forlove sorry, you can't "heal" the sun. it will die no matter what. that's just the way things go. :)

  • @basicalgirl if we want enough, collectively we sure can :D, we are the mirror of Gods consciousness ... well, at least our lives would be safe if we coose so from our freewill, at least something else to sustain our lives or some solution would come up, in a better way comes our way :D ... at least I like to think so :D ... love and peace ...

  • so there is a solar flare that turned into a comet and is now flying around the solar system?

  • солнышко наше ненаглядное

  • Nice work!!!

  • when sun cums

  • Life ! a fantastic voyage .... to bad we're controled by governments.

  • really with this song really?

  • Saw this in class. Very good stuff.

  • the closest star to us, the sustainer of life on earth, I wish humanity did its best to learn and advance its knowledge of celestial bodies and the vast surrounding space. I wish human beings sought freedom and solace in applicable knowledge and its enlightening consequences and not trust in the apathy of only praying to which they are being so conditioned to do. acquiring knowledge, free from superstition, and trying to use it will give us the ultimate joy and freedom, thanx 4 the video

  • @zeussey HUMANS CAN'T HELP BUT HAVE THE DEISIRE TO WORSHIP A HIGHER POWER, THAT IS HOW WE WERE MADE. JUST AS A CHILD CAN'T HELP BUT WANT THEIR PARENTS APPROVAL OR ACCEPTANCE NO MATTER HOW CRUEL THEY MIGHT BE, SO WE PRAY. BUT I AGREE KNOWLEDGE IS KEY JOHN 17:3. COULD YOU IMAGINE IF A MONKEY STARTED TALKING IN 2012? NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

  • @currencytradingg What do u mean? All monkeys talk and have talked since the beginning. They respect each other too much to be talking (communicating) with evil humans.

  • @zeussey i wish humanity did its best to get us the fuck to mars already, then í could finally have a good excuse to shoot an imp in the face with a shotgun

  • AWESOME... how lucky we are to even understand the small fraction we do. amazing...truly most inspiring.

  • Porcelain is such a fitting song for this video. Awesome job.

  • Just Beautiful, simply beautiful, u see the sun everyday but not quite like that! Thank you x

  • Wow, this video is wonderful!

  • awe inspiring... thanks for the post....love the November 4th 2003 solar flare images

  • Man this is beautiful

  • Has anyone gone to the soho site lately there is a very large planet, I think showing up on it? I check over there now and then and have never seen anything like it? When all else fails I come to youtube from answers.

  • CCD BAKEOUT

  • This is the true video or a simulation ?

  • Much of this is true video. There's some obvious simulations (about 5) mixed in there for good measure though!

  • what's this proving?

  • Nothing, we´re all just wasting time by watching a boring video.

  • Nice work, Petey

  • who is the artist of the track used in this video? i;ve heard it many times. beautiful.

  • "Porcelain" by Moby

  • Science and religion in essence are very much alike, both have progressed greatly over the ages through many hardships, however they have to continue progressing for it is our everlasting quest to connect with the source.

  • sooooo what do we do when the sun cools down?

  • Although the people alive right now will never get to see that day, but if that ever does happened. I'm sure we would all freeze to death in a very short time if by cooling down you mean if it became a dwarf star.

  • We'll be dead, brah.

  • we will never see that day because in 5.2 billon years the sun will eat up the earth because it will grow and then shrink.

stage 1 (now) the sun is slowly geting brighter.

stage 2 it gets brighter and bigger at a very disturbing rate

stage 3 it will become a red giant and go beyond earths orbit. it will then shrink into a white dwarf... then it will slowly cool.

    the end.

  • so if we go underground for a few hundred years then come up when the sun shrinks we be ok?

  • @dazhibernian

The Sun is our only source of energy. Just because it gets bigger doesn't mean that it gets hotter, in fact it would cool down substantially(assuming it doesn't completely submerge earth in its expansion.) This is in 5 Billion years or so, and Humanity will either be gone, or annexed settlements elsewhere.

  • @dazhibernian the sun doesnt cool down per se... it uses up its energy, once the reaction slows down the chemical makeup of the sun changes. it looses mass and expands, the sufface of the sun will come extremely close to the earth. All life on earth will cease to be alive to ever see it "cool down". It will contract as the chemical properties of the sun change again and ultimately explode creating a super nova.

  • How can scientists possible know thats whats going to happen? thye've never been to the sun, how can they think thats going to happen just by looking at the sun from a telescope? and what we going to do? we be fucked, we gotta get sum star strek ships on the building list man!

  • by the time that happens, well have multiple planets discovered to habitat, at least i hope so for humanity xD

  • guys there has been a big solar flare on October 26th 2009, I've seen the pics on SOHO official website, but for some reason the site is down! anybody experienced the same problems??? WEIRD think is going on, and some of my comments won't post!

  • whats this song???

  • whats this song??????

  • @samnaps1 it's by Moby - Porcelain

  • @clockworkaccordion --alright sweet ..thanks

  • beautiful video 5/5

  • In my mind's eye, I find myself rising above the clouds, to see the sun as a bright point, tiny compared to the vastness of space, but valiantly holding back the endless night. It's glow may someday die, but it never lives in vain, for while it shines it gives life to everything around it. If the sun not be a living thing, how odd that I found in it the truest love and the most generous, giving spirit.

  • Did any of you notice the sun pulse at 00:12 I think this might be where to look for a cause for the polar caps melting.

  • sorry, but can you tell me the name of the song? :D

    thanks

  • I think its called magalufipungadi

  • moby by porcelian it might be the other way around tho

  • it is the other way around. and if you like Moby, listen to his "Animal Rights" album.

  • the sun is going to kill us anyways

  • the song perfectly suits in:)

  • The sun is by far one of the most wonderful of all things....its so beautiful and violent. hahah i find it so funny that ppl would rather worship gods then the one thing we know has allowed us to live and the one thing we know is responsible for life. i worship the sun....

  • There are still quite enough pagans out there, that worship nature instead of the divine bullshit (sorry but thats what it is imo ) i believe.

  • Lol, calm the fuck down..

  • if youre trying to waste my time debating with me dont bother. light is a form of radiational energy that is affected by mass, density and gravity. newtons law. i already knew about lights little changes and phases. believing every lil thing i hear?. step right up! youve just won a brand new asshat sonny.

  • actually light is photons and it is directly related to the density of the sun. if the sun started to burn more helium then it would be less dense thus releasing more light-photons like it is now. get ya facts straight.

  • no light is not a photon until condensed it is simply a form of energy and no one can predict a a magnetic pole switch we can watch magnetic occurrences but nothing that can formed into a complete assessment. so please until u stop believing every little thing you here do some research on your own.

  • wrong im a physicist so i know with no doubt that light is made of packets of energy which are called photons, the amount of energy released is determined by the frequency of the electromagnetic wave/ radiation, gamma rays are high energy EMR which means more photons hit an area per second than visable light

  • well im ending this conversation mainly because these little packets of energy u are talking about is called an atom which dont make up light which is a form of energy and listing off different forms of light rays dont make your consisus any more true light is a form of energy just like wind only light is made up of electromagnetic waves...i suggest that an 18 year old physicist learn a lil bit more

  • Wow everyone is wrong in this discussion. I believe Luke was referring to the luminosity of the sun; if the luminosity of the sun increases-and the temperature remains constant-then the radius of the sun must increase. Rusher, light does not "condense", it is both a wave and a particle, that's the particle-wave duality. So, Photons are "packets of energy". Tractus, gamma rays do not hit an area per unit second more than visible light. That's flux. Gamma rays have more cycles per second.

  • i know what im talking about and atoms wasn't it, Atoms i know what atoms r u idiot, im talking about photons which r the quantifiable packets of energy which r found in all electromagnetic radiation. Photons arn't compressed anything, if u r talking about compressed energy then u r talking about matter. u r right that light is a form of energy that wasn't what i was correcting u about, Photons r the packets of energy which makes up light its a quantum physics thing look it up if u r interested

  • one again im breaking this conversation because ur constant rambling of illinformed nonsense is annoying me and to break down light u need to go farther then atoms to sub-atomic particles and even to quarks THAT my friend is astrophysics.

  • HAHAHAHA your funny god your classic astrophysics isn't sub-atomic particles thats quantum physics and particle physics, astrophysics is about how things in space affect each other like planets and stars its mostly about gravity, u must be joking with me if u didn't know that u can fight all u want with me but ill win cause i know my physics. Oh and the sub-atomic level is where quarks are and that is what level i am talking about when i say light is made up of photons.

  • alrighty then well im gonna end it with this every form of physics is connected in many different ways...kinda sounds like string theory and in case your not familiar with that look it up and use ur all knowing power and make the correlation

  • Why do u need to end it, im gonna end it, yes there are connections between all the fields of physics, but each field stays within there range of measurment eg- cosmology isn't able to determine what happens at the quantum level only what occurs at the large cosomological level. And if you are wondering i do know what string theory is also called super string theory or M theory all the same theory, which states that all the sub-atomic particles + bosons are just vibrating strings which vibrate

  • in eleven dimensional space each specific particle has its own specific vibration, eg- an up quark vibrate a certain way giving it it's specific properties, all up quarks vibrate in the same way. string theory is a new branch of quantum physics and is the leading contender to connect cosmology and quantum physics whom are both trying to determine what caused and created the big bang. now i've finished and hope you learnt something in this process

  • u honestly cant make the assessment your older then me first off. And second there is no such thing as light particles lol light is a form of energy that only interacts with matter it isn't matter itself and finally our atmosphere is more then capable of handling a solar flare ask any astrophysicist you like. Oh and if the sun changed temperature that drastically it would spontaneously com bust. so i suggest you do the research yourself and make your own concise.

  • yes, but it also depends on how strong is the radiation and also our magnetic field is on the verge of a polar switch (north pole becomes south and viceversa). At that moment the magnetic will weaken drastically and thus we will be exposed to all sorts of solar radiation and blown away by the solar wind. We are not that safe!!!

  • Moby - Porcelain

  • Beautiful...the sun is white now and use to be yellow. changing.

  • Nothing is changing about the sun i will guarantee you that. If the sun decided to turn white there's a difference of millions of degrees and we would've been destroyed by now.

  • who is this music by again?

  • moby

  • ive been watching the soho site for years watching the sun because ive noticed now that the sun is much brighter outside and hotter.

its white in color instead of yellow like it used to be. also older soho photos the sun was oranger then it is now compared to current photos. who else agrees?.

  • hey buddy if that was the case the difference between a white and yellow star is millions of degrees, we would have been baked by now if that was the truth.

  • no. the sun is early "starting" stage to covert to helium thus the light particles escape more freely. i have been alive longer than you so i know. the sun is brighter and whiter now. sorry. ddiiaa52 also agress. these are the end times anyways. and all those chentrails have turned the once deep saphire blue sky a faded chitty blue also.. if ya wanna get technical.

  • There is no such thing as light particles. Light is rather a form of radiation or a form of energy! Maybe is not the end of everything you know!!!

  • Spectral class O stars, which are bluish-white have a temperature of about 30,000 K.

  • simply amazing.

  • this video is a perfect match of music and videography. the music captures the solar magnificence.

  • Unreal video. BTW, last poster is on drugs me thinks

  • Great video. The Sun is practically alive.

  • Is it just me or does the sun look a lot like a beating heart.

  • epicly done my freind

  • Eeeven Rocky hada Mowntawge

  • This song sure brings back memories. Can someone tell me its name please?

  • moby- porelain!

  • that's a dumb statement;

-man has NO control over the sun!

  • YOU ARE SO RIGHT paulfbest! our polution made the sun hotter and caused more solar storms! wow what a genios!!

*sarcasm*....palfbest crawl in a hole and die

  • We watched this in my Earth Science class, and I like the green sun!

  • few people are aware of the fact the Sun is ALIVE..The Sun Rules, King Sun...wildfires/size of storms/number of storms/droughts/everything is determined by the sun's cycle...we are in the 1st yr of the hot cycle,,a cycle is like 12 yrs??, ..2012 will mark peak hot..and its already super hot here in new orleans...look for super masive wildfires in cali, and all over the USA...droughts///places with too much rain

    .world's ice melt rate faster.

and very few folks know the sun has a 12 yr cycle

  • Comment removed

  • lol i watch the movie

  • good video....

  • that shit can kill us u know that

  • cuz u watched the knowing? lol

  • we get solar flares all the time man...notice y theres the northern lights?

  • epic fail you loser

  • hes not failing anything.

"Revontuli" (finnish) a.k.a Northern Lights are "things" coming from sun, i dont remember what they were but..

And yes, the sight of revontuli is so damn beatiful..

  • idiot.

  • Used it for my Science project thanks for posting :)

  • At 1:55 SOHO was hit with the 3rd largest CME in recoded history. The proton flux messed with the sensor and filled it with static.

  • Watched this in my GMDSS class.

  • fuck man i hate moby

  • song??

  • Moby-Porcelain

  • Haha I just realized it says it even at the end of the video. Why don't you guys wait and see if its in the credits or video description lol

  • wow

  • A nuclear fusion reactor, more than 330,000 x the size of the Earth, permanently in a state of flux...Jeez and here we are in the 21st century thinking that its four wheel drives and coal fired power stations that control our weather.
