  • Now we're not seeing the whole story here in thi sclip. We don't know what made the decision. Having said that , if it was on the basis of the religious testimomny giving at the zoning meeting than once again the constitution has been thwarted by religious zealots. I couldn't help notice there were three large crosses on the site in one shot. Have they been removed as well.

Keep your gods out of my policies.

  • @euralj

    Amen.

  • There's a Mago religion? O.K....

What if my friends and I decided that we should build a "porno" park, and we erected a 39 foot tall phallis?

    Would that be acceptable?

  • @MrRedPajamas It's Tao.

  • i think its an amazing thing for them to protest...i dont believe in mother earth,im some form of christian...ppl can protest what they want or believe what they want, but i feel personally...let anyone believe what they want,if u dont like it...dont go there..leave and never come back

  • I'm a christian, but i'm also an american. this is very very wrong. it's a park and a statue, if you don't like it don't go there.

  • MY EFFIN GIRLFRIEND CHEATED ON ME PLEASE HELP ME TAKE REVENGE!

    ihatekarla . com

  • @PlaystationPoints Revenge is mine says the Lord. You have no right to take revenge I know. Let me tell you a story about my principle and my art teacher. If you ever have time. It is very interesting.

  • im not for any side....yes in my religion it says we shud not worship idols or have them but you dont have to go near them if you dont want to......

  • Take that hippies!

  • @xgotarox

I'm sure these morons out there protesting poor "Mago" being torn down would be cheering if a Jesus statue was being taken down.

It works both ways, don't think these people are super tolerant like they'd have you believe.

  • Dumb video! But my comment would be if the deal went through proper channels so be it. As far as the religious fanatics saying no idols please.... the Pilgrims and Puritans left the Old World to come to the New World to have religious freedom! That's what makes America so great. You don't have religous police running around drawing up the rules!

  • This is what's wrong with America. There are a bunch of ignorant, intolerant, stupid people who belive that what they think is the only right thing.

  • @SexyEroticaDejavu - you're one goofy bitch, and evidently you have a fetish for feces.

  • who owns the property?

  • @rabidchevy - the tao fellowship owns the property. In other words, they erected a statue on their own land. Privately owned land. The Tao Fellowship voluntarily removed the statue at their own expense.

  • What the fuck is a Mago?

Why is this a big time video with Youtube? This video sucks blah blah bitch bitch complain.

  • what is mago?....

  • im glad they close and took out stupid demond mago people jesus loveyou mago dont take you to haven. find somet. better to do...

  • If you want the freedom to build as you wish, you move out to bigger spots of land in rural areas and away from the snobs in the city. Thats the way Americans have been doing it for years, you're not special because you're minorites, lots of people get screwed by zoning and HOA busybodies.

  • I don't understand how Mago is an idol. Do people worship her? It seems as though she's more of an icon for the Earth, to me. Am I wrong in this?

I'm not sure on the entire story, so I may be wrong, but it seems as though Mago is about as much of an idol as Mickey Mouse or Bugs Bunny. No one is idolizing it at all. Am I wrong in this?

  • yay

  • yay!

  • What more views? Add Me and subb and send me a message and ill give some

  • Re: mago statue--it is interesting to note that in virginia, on I-81, at both the south and north ends, there are giant crosses. i think that they are intended to be symbols of jesus and christianity. It is not any big deal, though. they are just huge, enormous crosses. has anyone ever noted in the southeast, the array of three crosses that appear on many hills? what do they mean?

  • Private or not, Mago and its affiliate groups are spiritual capitalists and utilize unethical tactics to ensnare people into spending more money into their organizations. I could care less about a statue- its the fact that people are willing to stage themselves as 'realized masters' for lots of cash and power.

  • @xgotarox lol okay, now you're just trolling, so I'm done here. There's no bowing or praying to crosses, there's not even bowing in church. There's no way you could know that little, so I'm going to assume you're just out to troll me.

    Nice talking to you.

  • @xgotarox No, we don't worship crosses or statues. We don't bow to them, pray to them, or worship them. Crosses are symbols, not idols.

  • If a group of Christian's put up a huge statue of Jesus in a park in any town of America, there would be an outcry from every lib from Maine to California of separation of church and state! But when Christian's use the same so-called law, they are called Nazi's. What hypocrites!

  • @mvies77 - except the mago statue was on private property. The Earth Park is on land owned by the Tao Fellowship. If that happened to Christians, you'd hear a lot of pissing and moaning. The TF instead chose to simply remove a statue - off their own property. So......... ummm....yeah.

  • @MrRedFredSaid You think that has not happened to Christian's or private citizens in several cases on their private property. Property itself has been removed from citizens. This is the result of all the years of persecution and atheists bringing law suits. Now everyone's freedom has been affected and lost. Where was everyone else when these rights were taken. Nowhere, because who cares about religion.

  • @mvies77 - bullshit.

  • @MrRedFredSaid Really? Then where is your statue?

  • @xgotarox If by "idolize" you mean "worship", we're intended to "idolize" our God, yes.

But we don't worship inanimate objects.

  • ya no one derserves a statue if that main sagat

  • deserves

  • Friends of Mago

  • Bleh, all religions are fucking stupid. Why not just make it a fucking normal park?

  • I think stupid liberals brought it onto themselves. if people weren't crying over having to put up with your neighbor's Christmas lights, or trying to take God out of everything... there would not be any base for this incident. You can't expect to agravate people and not have them act on it. IT sucks! Also, it was the city's decision... at the end this is democracy ... and decisions are not made to please the few... doing otherwise is not fair, for the majority.

  • Doesn't Christianity hold unity and acceptance as two of it's dearest principles?

Also, fuck you okusachink | |

    \/ \/

  • delete me cause mago sux

  • 1:39 "I don't want no statue." Hmmm...?

  • Haha. Nice one Amercans. Bonafide freedom of religion I'd say.

  • ...death to all...

  • I can't believe this! This is so ironic I thought Christians should fight for freedom of religion since they are allowed to express and spread their own believes, but this show that these so called "Christians" can be as hateful as Nazis. They are just oppressing a different point of view that doesn't affect them what so ever.

  • oh!

  • Religious discrimination had nothing to do with it... I go to the Catholic church right next door and I had no problem with the statue untill I found out that they didn't have the proper paper work to have the statue up.. That church is new, they waited nearly 5 yrs to get the paper work to build the church and it just isn't right to put that statue up w/out permission from the town. It was an eye-sore and it disturbed the flow of the environment...

  • @mattymush13 you got it

  • Well good. Does this mean I can tear down every scenery-killing cross and Church billboard that tells me Jesus want me to burn in hell if I don't come inside and throw some money in the plate? They should replace it with a giant George Carlin statue.

  • It was not an "educational community park", it was a propaganda park to espouse and promote one certain point of view. I'm so sick of hearing about the environment and "community." Look after yourself and your surroundings and that's enough. Don't force your point of view on me. Love, a conservative atheist.

  • goddamn dirty hippy wetback spics and stupid ass conservative neo nazi honkeys this is why i hate people, FUCK MAGO AND JESUS

  • i m going to bild a bige ass HITLER SIEG HEAL HA HA HA

  • It amazes me how these "Christians" will claim that this statue needs to be taken down because Jesus condemns idol worship, while they themselves will put a crucifix/cross on top of and inside their church which in itself is also a form of idol worship.

If you're gonna call yourself a Christian at least read the bible, understand what it says, and apply it. Jesus taught that God hates idol worship, but he didn't go around disrespecting other peoples beliefs and tearing down their idols.

  • @DarthEthong467 YOU AR DUMMER THEN ME AND I CANT SPELL

  • @WILDWOODislandder You're just trying to start a fight. Stop making yourself look like an idiot.

  • It amazes me how these "Christians" will claim that this statue needs to be taken down because their Jesus condemns idol worship, while they themselves will put a crucifix/cross on top of and inside their church which in itself is also a form of idol worship.

  • eww

  • He without sin cast the first stone my friends.

  • You know what the best line is? the most twisted and biased line in the entire clip? "If its offensive to God, its Offensive to me." Read it again. See what he did there? What a Cunt.

  • Some people are just biased, biggoted, pigs who won't even take the blame for what their saying. "If it's offensive to god"- how the hell do they know its offensive to god? I mean really? In the bible he said that he didn't want to be idolized, not that all other idols are offensive, or outlawed, or wrong. I know that- and im NOT even a GOD DAMN CHRISTIAN

  • I wonder how many of these people actually used the park? There's no reason to have a giant statue like that in the park. If nothing else it just looks stupid. These same people would be going nuts if there was a giant Jesus statue in a public park even though according to others religious views, He's who created the earth... not some idol named "Mago".

  • szQ1mqgVCBg,,go check out this fat guy who is gunna go 40 straight days without eating,,,i bet he cant do it,,but it will be fun to watch!!!

  • this is disgusting, plain english. our country is about letting everyone believe what they want to believe. what? do we all have to be christian to live in this country, now? Those christians are crazy and need to get that 2000 year old pole out of their asses.

  • all of you guys are totally off.the town did not give legal permission for the statues except temporary permission for the Mago statue.the statues also used illegal building materials. on top of that the zoning for the area was "Agricultural-Residential-70" so the park was in the wrong zone too. If a church was built in the wrong zone with the wrong building materials and received no permission from the town to do so, then it would be torn down too. and I doubt you would see all these protestors

  • How come a non-Christian can protest something they don't believe and they get support, but when a Christian protests something they don't believe they get put down?

  • @MissBuggy95 Because religion and state are separate. Separate. It is illegal for the government to favor one religion over the other. This was a state decision that was made for religious reasons. Secular protests don't violate that law and are typically more about the law itself than faith.

  • wow, i can't believe they did it, its about spirituality, love for land, earth, nature, not gods !!!

  • And yet again, I find myself not believing in the intolerance of humanity. If they decided to take down a statue that represented the planet on which we live, or as they say in my church "our island home" (and yes I am a Christian), then why don't they take down all the crosses around as well. And all the American flags. Or better yet, every symbol we as humans hold dear to our diversity should be removed. There is no logic behind this action, only hate for something they don't understand.

  • @randuminsanity Exactly. Did you notice the crossed in the background? What hypocrites.

  • I'm a true christian and fully believe in God through Jesus Christ. But these christians have it completely wrong. God wants us to be respectful and respect everyone no matter their views and beliefs. Come on guys...can't we just all get along?

  • @jumpkenny I wish more Christians followed your line of logic, rather than hating what is different. I am not religious, but I know enough about the bible to know that God does not want his followers to hate.

  • Did anyone think to contact the ACLU?

  • i had no idea there was a cottonwood in Arizona and i live here. haha

  • i guess there is no such thing as freedom of religion in this country

  • amcık

  • i didnt see anything wrong with it, its just a statue that cant bother anyone, no real reason to tear it down because some crazies dont like it,

  • I guess the Statue of Liberty should come down too...huh? give me a break. This is the kind of thing that made me spend thousands of hours researching my former religion (christianity) I found out the Roman Catholic Church invented Christianity for power and control purposes.

  • @blatantruth the Roman Catholic church did not invent Christianity, they basterdized it.

  • @thud007 Actually, if you go deep and do your research, they did invent it. But this is not the right forum for this debate. Potolemy I Soter becomes Serapis via Osirus and Apis, becomes Serapis Christus/Chrestus becomes Jesus Christ then canonized by the ecunemical councils to diefy him and invent the trinity, sonship and several other attributes.

  • @blatantruth The Roman Catholic Church didn't invent Christianity, they twisted it around and used it for their own gain. What they teach is not Christianity.

  • What's worse than Christians? Hick Christians. How could someone hate something that celebrates harmony. u__u

  • OH NO! A statue representing the earth, which nourishes us and which is deserving of thanks... take it down! Let us erect in its place a statue of a "white" Middle Eastern man who allegedly had magical powers thousands of years ago and to whom we all have no relation. Oh, and whose religion authorizes the stoning of disobedient children, etc. YAY!

  • The christian asshole at work here.

  • Christians have crosses....

  • For the record, People, not all Christians are like that.

  • What makes me angry is that the separation of church and state was created for situations like these. Yes, you can believe in Christianity, but to force the religion's belief on others should be a crime.

  • this is a tough issue, because i dont think there should be anything wrong with displaying religious images in public places because they're not doing anything to convert people or anything like that. however it is interesting because at the same time, if they had wanted to build a statue of jesus in the park, that never would have been allowed.

  • كس امك يا بنت الوسخه it means we are 1 all in my ass

  • i have no idea wy i just watched that lame video ... fadezzz

  • they call me mago

  • They have GOT to get a life.

  • They love me!!!!

  • Religion, while it is in some ways becoming less popular among the American general public, is a way for people to stick together and organize themselves to help the world. While I do not believe in a God, most religions offer advice to live by to make the world a better place if the religion is observed as intended; such as Christianity. However, THIS, quite frankly, is bullshit.

  • So a group of crazy Baptists protest outside the funeral of fallen soldiers and it's freedom of speech. A religious group has a statue and it has to fall because it's against God? Are you kidding me?

  • @PinkSparkleChld the statue was removed for more than because it was against God. It would be unconstitutional if it were the only reason. it is disgusting that the baptist funeral protesters are legally allowed to do what they do, but thats the way it is.

  • As an Atheist I really don't give a fuck. I more care about the scientific nature of the things they teach in this park rather then bias religious beliefs

  • People aren't happy unless they are bitching about something. Who cares if a statue was there especially in the middle of nowhere, what bearing does that have on the Christians of that town, just like the Atheists who are trying to get the word God and anything religious out of currency and court ect, people aren't happy unless they are bitching. Like me bitching about these bitchers.

  • This is absurd!

Im a christian, and all i gots to say is that LET them keep the statue, its just a symbol for Mother earth, nothing wrong with it! Its not ganna hurt anybody! This is America, FREEDOM OF RELIGION!

    damn!

  • So because this goes against one religion this gives another religion the right to take it down? Close minded Christians will be the death of this nation. Who are you to A) go against the constitution this country itself was founded on, and B) condemn others because they believe differently than you. We are no longer in the crusades people. Religious tolerance is a must.

and before you bash me, I would say my religious beliefs fall towards the Christian religion more than anything else.

  • We have freedom of religion in our constitution. However God does detest such idols, so, Praise the Lord for this being a christian nation.

  • *sigh*

I'm a Christian, and I have to say...there's idiots in every religion, including mine.

Yeah, Christians aren't supposed to worship idols...but those people weren't Christians, so why tear down their statue?

  • @JerryChristia i totally agree its something that is theres. Christans don't tear down temples. *sigh*

  • @JerryChristia

    yup.

  • this kind of stuff makes me sick.... it is truly sad that even though america should be a nation with freedom of religion that Christians continue to have the most say in the country. its sad that everyone cant just deal with eachother and let everyone else do what they want... its not like they were forcing you to believe in anything..

  • these people who wanted this park 2 close and the statue 2 go down are nuts its freedom of speech and u cant in america make it so that 1 religion can over power another in a court of law

  • wow

  • Why not just make mother earth as a gaint global. They could of said that the statue represent Mary as being the mother of the earth for having given birth to Jesus who

Is saved earth. That might of got the nut christians to stop being so negative

  • If anyone wants a program to down load this video for there selves. message me!

  • dude this is kind of like the whole prop 8 thing, except with out marriage but with religion. a bunch of die hard people of one religion bagging on another religion. people should not be able to use their religion as a way to bring down other peoples religion. that one guy who was like im happy im intolerant is a real piece of work along with that other lady who said the statue wouldn't bring blessings, its a statue.

  • diversity is beautiful

  • Why do people keep using religion as a weapon?

  • It is so so painful to watch such ignorance. There are other more progressive states where i think this wouldn't have happened and it's sad that diversity and tolerance in the united states is so dependent on where you live. I think the only way to teach people tolerance is to peacefully expose them to ideas different than their own which seems to be what was happening. It really struck me when that woman said her god HATES idols. I don't hate anything, let alone does my concept of god.

  • Wow why would anyone be against a educational park? Will Disney World and Universal Studios be next?

  • We have freedom of religion in this country. I don't associate myself with religion, I personally have quite the negative view on it. However, I believe in being free to believe what you want to believe, whether that be in Christ, Buddha , etc. This garbage has to stop, everyone has a right to have their idols, whoever it may be.

  • i don't hate God...just hate the followers....as shown in the video...stupid problematic people

  • I noticed on Google earth/maps that there is the "Katus bar" about 6 blocks away. I doubt the Fellowship Church raised any issue about that location despite, the Bible's warning to abstain from all drunkenness. Eph. 5: 18

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.

In short, this isn't about God's will, this is about religious intolerance.

  • I agree.. the statue should not be there. People are very stupid, especially when it comes to religious situations and it would really confuse some people (maybe even children).

  • It just goes to show that these christians that were complaining are praying to a false god.

  • this is pointless, in the end these things don't matter. you can do whatever you want to me, but i will always be free to be who i am on the inside.........live your life without boundaries, and life is limitless.

  • @euralj Then Justice and Lady Liberty have to go. OH and so does Mt. Rushmore.

  • People are so stupid. They're not even worshipping anything! Why Christians think they have the absolute truth?

  • The trouble it seems is that the park was put smack dab next to a certain church. Had the park been in a place more obscure, I doubt there would be as much of an issue. Perhaps the park could be moved and renamed. Even so, it is odd considering the Bible is chalk full of anti-Hebrew intolerance; from Abraham to John's Revelations. I supposed they skipped all of those sections before taking the park down. Even so the groups with idols, the Bible reads that God tore down the idols not men.

  • im the best

  • Same Taliban mentality that knocked down the Bamyan Buddhas in Afghanistan. Only difference is these folks are obese, white and have better guns.

  • Bible bigotry rides again!

  • @ginesdepasamonte There is a lot of Bigoted anti-Christian Buddhists as well.

  • wizard's park?

  • jjjjhjh

  • Yea fuck mother earth, the magic man in the sky FORBIDS STATUES. Spawned from demons! We, of the double digit IQ, under teh one true God Jeezus Kryst, will feel his warm liquid pouring over our bodies. It is thick, but not too thick.

  • I hope that this fanaticism, don't go to the ancient places of the humanity, as Tikal, or Stonehenge.

Those are the thinks than make me hate the religion.

  • @juanfjaramillo All of the Mayan books but 4 were burned by the arch bishop in about 1570 or so. for the same reasons. We lost almost everything from an entire nation as a result.

  • @Bureyeanne The Tao Fellowship should inform the neighboring church that their cross, is actually the sign of the sun god Horus, which is in essence an idol. Constantine bridged the area religions into one unified ergo "Catholic" church. Of course, logic and reason don't apply in emotional decisions, do they?

  • @Bureyeanne Also, this idea of no graven image seems interesting to me. The passage as I understand is referring to having one worship the image before or instead, or in replacement to God. I don't know that anyone was preforming any rituals at this location. Yet lots of so called Christians don't have trouble with paintings, movies, plays, mimes, sculptures etc. This scream intolerance more than it whispers a love of God.

  • When are we in the US going to stop with this craziness? Any and all religions don't need to be mixed in with Government at all levels. No this is NOT a Christian country nor was never implied or stated to be a Christian country. The 1st amendment is quite clear about this. Anyone can do as they please with regards to their beliefs or lack of belief. It protects everyone. Preach whatever you want on your own time. Government has enough to do without muddling things with religions.

  • I understand that not all Christians are this close-minded, but it is people like that who really make me resent the religion as a whole. I just can't believe someone can say such xenophobic and bigoted things without even realizing it is wrong.

  • lol there is like mabye 15 people.

  • <.< I don't get it...Whats makes the statue of mother earth more of an "idol" than the giant Crucifixes you see in churches?

  • There was a problem with Windows that caused it to stop working correctly.

Your computer might be missing updates that can help improve its stability and security.

Open Windows Update to check for and install Important and Recommended updates.

    Windows Update

In the left pane, click Check for updates. If any updates are found, click View available updates.

Select all Important updates, and then click Install. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the pass

  • I love seeing all these heathen get their panties in a wad

  • @God1stcountry2nd Honoring Christmas or Easter does not make us a Christian nation any more than honoring Black history month makes us an African nation. This is an inclusive nation according to the Constitution. Try reading it. As a Christian you'll hate it because it says we are free to disobey ANY religious BS - including Christian BS. And of course, I'm flawed - God made me - and He fucks up almost everything.

  • I'm a Christian & my God doesn't hate idols he just teaches not to worship them. Overall I think that statue should stay. Anyone who thinks different is a bigot and a hater!

  • fuckin hippies.

  • laws must apply to everyone equally.

not everyone belives in a christian god.

therefore, you cannot base laws off religion, as they would fail to apply to everyone equally.

anyways, as long as liqour stores are still closed on sundays, stfu.

  • @God1stcountry2nd This is NOT a Christian nation. Nor is it a pedophile nation. Sure there are members of both groups here (some belong to both groups). But, it is a FREE nation where expression is to be permitted. Perod. Even expression against the Christian church. This was the church once again urinating on the Constitution.

  • It's called permits, religious bigots would have had no influence if the park had been properly and lawfully planned and constructed. DUH!!!!!!! Get the paperwork done first!!!!! This was not about prejudice!

  • It is shocking how some "Christians", can quote scripture and not know what it means or what Jesus' clear intent was. This statue represented EARTH - not some imaginary crap. We SHOULD idolize Earth. It is our Mother. Why would our Father not want us to "worship" Him AND our Mother? Looks to me like insecure men who are uncomfortable with a big strong woman.

  • @OregonDARRYL

you hit the nail on the head, dude.

  • As a Christian, I fear instead of what Jesus asks us to do as His people, we get caught up in stuff like this. Paul never tried to remove idols from temples in the areas he preached. Christ told CHRISTIANS to worship Him...and be an example. This is the kind of stuff Satan loves to get us mixed up in--dangle earthly issues so we forget the heavenly ones, and thus make Christ and following Him less desirable.

  • @bigvirgotube That's it, you got it!!!

  • The repression of a religion or a people during a time of economic stress is EXACTLY how the Holocaust began.

This is offensive to the Goddess and therefore offensive to me.

  • @God1stcountry2nd This nation is not a Christian nation and was founded on a secular Constitution which doesn't mention Christianity or god.

  • @jlabrecque1

\Founding fathers did mention Creator, and they did believe in God

  • @icemilitia I never said the founding fathers didn't mention "Creator" or were atheists, but that the Constitution didn't mention Christianity or god. This is the document that founded our country and is the foundation for our rights, like the right to and from religion found in the 1st Amendment. The personal faith of the founding fathers is irrelevant, some were deist but that doesn't mean America is a Deist nation. America is and hopefully will always be a Secular Constitutional Republic...

  • I thought mago meant wizard???

  • @FarangBalls that might be mage

  • was this a federally funded, or even a state funded park? If so, then I have heard of the same thing happening to crosses.

If it is private, then this is screwed up.

  • @aekdbbop Good point. The government can not endorse any religion.

  • People like thos Christians should die in pain and agony, they are wortless pice of shit and bring nothing good to this earth, fucking shit heads

  • I am a Christian, but I also know the benefits of such a beautiful park. This nation was founded on the idea of religious freedom for EVERYONE, and we could all learn from other religions. I wish narrow-minded Christians wouldn't give us all a bad name.

  • @10icbelle ditto ! I'm a follower of christ too ! Freedom of Religion ! means the right to worship what ,where and how they may is what the 1st adm. state's . those's people running amuck on blind teachings of the doctrine's of man not Christ . Christ said you will know another by the fruits they bare . hate, fear and ignorance is not of Christ nor a sign of living his teachings .

  • @rbvmtr - I agree with you. The Christians here mean well, but they don't realize how much they discredit their own religion. How would they feel if someone demanded that Catholics get rid of a statue of Mary? Or if Protestant Churches remove a Cross from their own property? I suppose ignorance & bigotry are human tendencies.

  • fuck your god, mother earth is all you have and all you have to fear upsetting. why do you care whats out there for you when you die when your home now is mother earth? coexist. mother earth ftw.

  • @californication60 - what does ftw stand for?
