I disagree this is aggrotech. Futurepop is progressive trance with darker lyrics such as much of VNV Nation since Futureperfect. Aggrotech is harsh electronic body music with aggressive.
@ryphil4 Ummmm no. Nothing like Marilyn Manson. And I think that all of these comments have done a great disservice to Imperative Reaction and industrial music as a whole. Nine Inch Nails is great, I love Trent Reznor, yes, but there are A LOT of other bands, and better bands out there in the genre. I hate how NIN is typically the first band mentioned when it comes to introducing someone to industrial music. Whenever I'm trying to give an intro to the genre, I usually mention Skinny Puppy first.
@HisSmittenKitten I appreciate NIN for the impact on industrial music, but I'm not a huge fan, and I think there are many better ones as well.
I always introduce people to stuff like IR, Orgy, Zeromancer, or Celldweller. I think people react to it a little bit better, and I like it better. ;)
This song is soo freaking amazing. Im into a lot of the harder metal music but this song has just added a new favorite band and genre of music to my list.

To clear up confusion...
It's futurepop. A subgenre of EBM.
It's sorta like industrial. Only not really.

I don't know. I see this a little less as industrial and more as just on the dark side of synthpop. Awesome song, in any case.
Not really clangy, stuttered, or mean enough for what I'd think of as industrial.
