bin ich froh, dass man die ballade später überarbeitet hat =)

diese version hier ist nämlich irgendwie viel zu melancholisch, lahm und irgendwie auch holprig, find ich. passt gar nicht zu dem musical allgemein

die neuere version ist ja doch eher witzig und stellt einen dummen und naiven growltiger da, der vor liebe blind ist.............. passt ja doch eher zu dem musical und zu der figur growltiger^^

sie klingt ja jetzt nicht schlecht oder so, es geht mir nur darum, wie es das ganze ins stück passt. und irgendwie stört mich da was.^^

bei meinen beiden besuchen der show hat mir die ballade doch immer ein grinsen ins gesicht "gezaubert" (das klingt ja mal total kitschig xD), weil growltiger das so wahnsinnig naiv mit seiner griddlebone singt...... passt halt zu growltiger, das mein ich :)

und irgendwie hat griddle in dieser version kaum was zu singen, was ich komisch finde.

i still think they should have let Tony Timberlake take Sir Mills' place as the actor. it's far too late now, unless they redo the whole thing in a 30th anniversary video with what cast is still able/availible/alive *May sir mills rest in peace* and it's not like they couldn't have done both versions of teh whole thing *long london songs and both G.T.L.S.* and just put them in the special featuress or alternate watch thingy. someone need's to start a pettition

really wish this had been in the movie version - a real shame. I don't see that it would have detracted from anything. You could have had old Gus watching it all as if his memory had come to life.

I really love The Ballad of Billy of McCaw. It's not that I dislike the Italiain aria version. In fact, I agree that it fits better. But I just really like Billy McCaw, and prefer hearing it, wheher it fits or not.
