  • Its about time some one with intelligence has come on to the scene that will eventually solve our energy problems..

    Good stuff,

    Thank you.

  • damn he have a awesome voice!!!

  • subliminals :D

  • Im watching this only to avoid doing my physics hw

  • Her er det en video som forklarer litt av hvorfor oppfinnelsen til SINTEF-forskerne i Norge er så spesiell. Det er utallige tenkbare anvendelsesmuligheter uten energitap!

  • these t also used in fast movin train with which their velocities may b inreased upto 500km/h

  • I don't have much of a science knowledge base, but it seems to me that when we are looking at ways to have cleaner energy these superconductors could be the way to go. If they could use superconductors in a motor for a car you could have a hybrid car that was extremely fuel efficient and had very low carbon emissions.

  • the problem we have at the moment with many of our systems is that they only occur at very high/low energy. and even though at this temp they are extremely efficent, the energy saved is not enough to offset the energy needed for either cooling or heating. that explain anything?

  • the problem isnt losing energy through the electric motor, electric motors are veryefficient

its the conversion of fuel into usable energy, internal combustion engines are only 10-20% efficient most of the chemical energy is lost as heat

in regards to cars the next barrier (or first depending on how you look at it) is air resistance

electric lines leading from the power station to your home is a different story the extreme distances mean that a material amount of energy is lost in transit

  • y arnt these people useing this in a electric car

  • if you make an electromagnet out of that superconducting tape, is it possible to create an amazing electromagnet?

  • yes superconducters are used for supermagnets and in nuclear spin tomography

  • Also when they say high temp, does anyone know what temp we are talking about here? Are we talking about ambient temp?

  • The black powder is the superconductor. Many high temperature superconductors are black ceramics that are very brittle. The highest temperature superconductor is HgTiBaCaCuO at 139 K. -209 F.

  • Thanks man.

  • The "black powder", is that activated carbon we are talking about?

  • Great video, looking forward to watching the other parts.

  • Is it explosive since it is made of blackpowder?

  • Yeah, they had some accidents in that lab in the 90's. The guy only had 4 fingers on his left hand.

  • Thks for posting I found it to be very interesting.

  • This video is the future!
