  • Why can't we be as good at dubbing anime as the Japanese are at dubbing Disney?

  • My fave disney song of all time. Love this version as well...

  • Fuji has a very beautiful voice. <3

  • tobira haha xD

  • has anyone noticed that in japanese dubs of disney songs that when they say the title of the song in the song they say it in english? 0.o

  • @nunoyobiznis That's the way the Japanese language is. When they say the literal translation they say it in English, that's the way the Japanese Katakana system of writing works.

  • I guess it doesn't matter what language it's in, it's still so beautiful it makes you cry!

  • Wow That sounds so amazing!

  • what a wonderful voice =3

  • Dare mo ga dizunimajikku no fushigi o taiken dekiru yo ni watashi wa, muti no gengo de sono eiga no koto dizuni no henkan o (ikutsu ka) ga daisuki! ♥Dizuni♥

    ♥Disney♥

  • Japanese is my favourite language. It's so beautiful :D

  • @alZor I'm so glad to be learning it. =)

  • wow I love lisening to familliar songs in Japanese

But I didn't expect this one to sound too great

    * Totally prooved wrong*

  • OMG~ <333

  • OMG who's singing? It's amazing!

  • Fuji Fumiya!! <3

  • everything sounds better in japanese

  • @kmonstervang I still like the english more though.

  • Love this! Japan is close to my heart ♥

  • nice arrangement, pity the singer is mediocre

  • i love the voice ....and the words...I LOVE JAP!

  • Voice sounds seriously familiar.... O___o but for fear of saying the wrong name i wont put who i think it is... any help???

  • @DisturbedVamp name's at the beggining.

  • Japan has done it once again. i've listened to so many Disney songs in japanese and i havent been dissappointed yet

  • how come they say "i can go the distance" in english?

  • @bubbleboydave10 Ever watched japanese anime openings or other japanese songs? There barely is any song without some english words in it

  • @bubbleboydave10 It Probably fits best that way because the translation is probably either too long or too short to fit

    Japan is the best!

  • JAPANESE IS AWESOME

  • Its so beautiful

  • AMAZING VERSION!! JAPANESE IS PERFECT

  • omg soooooooo good!!!

  • Beautiful

  • love the japanese version.. I'm from germany ^-^

  • hooray for ENGRISH!

  • I love how almost every classic Disney movie has an intense 5-10 minute segment where the character believes in what they can do :)

  • This isn't him singing-this is the version they used in the actual japanese dub of the movie-and of course the grammar isn't right they make the dubs they use in movies match the mouth movements, not Japanese grammatical rules lmao XD

  • nicely done. just get a new recording device and ur set

  • Beautifully done ^-^

  • watashi wa nihongo o daisuki desu.. oh so very much!

  • Man, I don't know what you folks are complaining about. His Japanese sounds good, but his singing needs work.

  • Wow, this is unexpected.

  • Comment removed

  • english spanish and japanese are so damn beutifull this song is simply awesome

  • Holy. If this was sung by Gackt, I'd probably wet myself O_O

  • @LxRaitofan is it?

is sounds like a younger version of him.

  • Can someone from Japan tell me why in japanese songs always one phrase is still in english??? (Here "I can go the distance")

    Do little japanese children understand?

    Greetinx

  • @LittleLadyLou its the hooky part of the song, so its no surprise Disney had it preserved in this version. As for other songs, Japan has a lot of cultural ties with America (and the same with France i hear, but i dont really know). They have a thing for the playboy bunny emblem for example. In anycase, if it sounds good it sounds good.

  • @acountsandsuch1

    Thank you :)

  • @LittleLadyLou

well i actually dont know lol

but we use French or some other languages in a song sometimes.

    its almost custom may be.

and do we need to understand all meaning of a song?

i think we feel it and if i got interest i will look up my dictionary!!

  • Suki!!! Its beautiful!!! :D

  • dis anyone under the impression that this song share the same melody with "Joseph - king of dreams?"

by the way, I love the Jap version!!!!

  • japanese.... damn hard language to to learn ;) but it sounds sooooo good :(

  • Sugoi! Never heard this version, but it totally blew my mind!

  • i love japanese everything <3 but for the sake of my childhood ill say i have to go with the english version of this song ^.^ but i love you japan!

  • This sounds amazing in Japanese.

  • I like the singer!!! He's voice so warm and manly.

  • This version is pretty good :P

Japanese is such beautiful language :3

    I love Disney songs <3

Haha I still watch disney movies and I'm 18 :$

    lol

  • wow this is beautiful, japanese is such a wonderful language :3

  • Who's the singer? This is cool! The words are damn well chosen for the tune!

  • what's the Japanese words for "I can go the distance"? lol

  • @The1awesomepossum That is terribly mangled katakana.

  • lryics speed could be fixed a bit. :P but thats just being nit picky of the video itself, not the song. the song is cool :P

  • <3 love it! :3

  • Japanese is such a wonderful language ^^

  • @TheDreamingSleeper yes it is

  • OMG KAWAII his voice is SEXAY!

  • so cuteeeeeeee!

  • arigato gozaimasu crazygal4life

    some people are rude

    @HasegawaYamato nice name

  • waah i love japanese<3

  • i just felt dizzy from falling in love...

  • This makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

  • I really want this on mp3

  • @FuryLobo the fact you used gay and weeaboo in the same sentence makes you fail

  • That song is really amazing for me...I feel every part of my body is frozen when I'm singing and Listenig that Song...That voice is so nice it's a great version...I loved it!!

  • The english pronounciation does sound a little funny. Just a little bit.

  • What is this guy singing this song? Divine!

  • SUGOI!!

  • I like the Doping Panda version of this song better

  • sounds better in english

  • ppl stop talking shit about japanese

if u tried to learn japanese or any asian language (if ur not asian) then im pretty sure WE can say sth about how ur not good @ it

  • @papermermaid And how does learning Chinese prove that this Japanese version is bad? I think it's remarkably good and I'm learning actual Japanese.

  • @Akuchan7 Count me in on that question, as I wonder what Chinese and Japanese have in common in this case :P

  • @Suchaku lol

  • @CrazyGal4Life thankyou.

though the grammer is slightly off with your explanation, thankyou.

if i recall japanese has inspired the americans with a lot of things we evented

yeah yeah we might not get fair trade- but who the hell doesn't?

japanese is a beautiful langauge, with beautiful people and better parenting.

    deal with it people.

look into the facts instead of just juding based on what your parents or what the media tell you.

i love this song so much

  • @Tiix3 *grammar ;)

  • @CrazyGal4Life stfu weeboo

  • Interesting. It's not really a direct translation of the English words, just sort of a similar idea. Bits of it are pretty close though.

  • I want to hear you speak Japanese. And I'd love to hear the people laugh at you... oh wait! They wouldn't! Because they're too polite to criticise someone like that!!! Maybe it's you who needs to learn something.

  • @Akuchan7 >Too polite to criticize something like that

oh you don't even know man.

just keep living in a deluded fantasy that all nihongo people are supa kawaiii subarashii

  • @PhiyreBahl No one race can be summed up in the same category, but Japanese people are known for being polite.

  • @Akuchan7 That's not to say that you wouldn't get criticized. it's like saying that everyone would be a jerk if you did something wrong in the US, but that's also not true even though I'm pretty sure it's a stereotype for americans :/

    eh

  • @PhiyreBahl I suppose you are right. But still, my point was, it was rude to criticize his English. Out of all the things that can be wrong with a person, that is something so ignorant to poke fun at.

  • well i hate biases......... wether its good or bad.....i like 'em all.... TRULY unbeliable i like every song of every nation weee!!!!!

  • HAHHA.

    "Aiii kehn goe tha deezteence!"

    OK. Sorry.

    He's a good singer ^^d! 5 stars!

  • sugoi desune!!! THIS IS SO COOLIO!!!

  • Is there a cantonese version of this song?

  • I really love this song and i wanted to have a minus one of this japanese version....Sore wa, minna tachi, hoka no kotoba de wa, warui koto uwanaide kudasai...

  • I love Fumiya-san.

  • I don't understand anything of this language, but I think it's a nice language.

  • Haha, it's the same for me XD I don't understand much, but the japanese language can be really beautiful sometimes

  • Yes, exactly. :) I'm taking a French class at school, but I really wish we had Japanese classes. Thats the language I want to learn the most. I try to teach myself but it never works out.. :/

  • +1

    same here

  • wow me too

  • Watch a ton of anime to get the pronounciation right, and buy/borrow tourist dictionaries. Worked for me. :)

  • I can speak and write quite a bit of Japanese and have been to Japan, so I could help if you'd like.

  • Kawaii ne! Japanese is so wonderful language!

  • Oh, interesting reaction. What wrong have I said? ;>

  • Agreed. :D

Why'd you get a thumbs down? O__o For speaking Japanese? omg such a crime. xDD

  • You, sir, rock.

  • But I thought the guy who said japanese singing is terrible gt thumb downs.

And you shouldn't use Kawaii ne, that's a cliche nowadays because its used by many people who know merely 10 words in japanese. Try to either use your language or speak japanese properly.

  • Thanks for explication. But I'm kinda surprised. I've heard "Kawaii ne" i.e. in Japanese dramas being said by people of different genders or ages. And this is why I haven't thought of checking specific circumstances about this phrase before.

Maybe it's a cliche but I don't believe that the Japanese themselves don't use this at all... It seemed to me that word "kawaii" is very popular there...

Anyway, thanks again. Good to know.

  • To be honest, you're the only who who decides if you want to say Kawaii ne, or not. Don't let other people interfere in your freedom of speech =/

Generally, people do say "Kawaii" a lot in Japan, so you shouldn't doubt that. Mostly used by girls though. Though, You're not comitting a crime, IMO. I mean, you've shown interest for the language, let them haters bug off x]

Just my opinion, I get kinda ticked off by the terms "Weeaboo" and "Wappanese" Ect.

  • Kawaii = cute :) söpö (:

  • good version

hey, after a little while, the lyrics didnt were accord to the music, they appeared before that part was sung

  • This guy sounds like Takuto's voice from Full Moon O Sagashite!

  • LoL. I like it better in Japanese.

  • Hehe I agree. Maybe because I really can only stand Japanese music anymore.

  • I remember having to sing this for my 5th grade graduation. So long ago. Ah, childhood.

  • who is the singer?

  • fujii fumiya

  • thanks!

  • love this shows a lot of emotion

  • gogin to fast on the word change. i cant keep up and the page changes before the singer does. Dx. other than that great job!

  • this sends shivers down my spine and makes me cry...

    It's simply astounding.

  • sugoii hehe =D japanese rocks

  • Nippon Banzai!!!

  • im definitely gonna learn Japanese some time

  • I never got into Hercules, but this is the one song from there I always loved. Really nice. It looks like the subs got skewed near the end, though. ^^

  • Yeah, this one is good...but why is "I can go the distance" said in english? XD

  • Japanese people must like the english words.. Its not first time :p!

  • Most everyone in Japan speaks english, it's like a second language to them.

  • Excuse me but my boyfriend is Japanese and can speak english very well thank you! And so can his family so before you go saying shit consider the fact that you are wrong about most of them!

  • English speaking families tend to have English speaking children, but most people in Japan cannot pronounce English or string a sentence together in English. It's not a slur against their character or their intelligence though. Japanese is fundamentally different in structure to most other languages on the planet so it's uniquely hard for the Japanese to learn English.

Of course, us people who speak English as a mother tongue are world famous for our inability to speak foreign languages.

  • So. People here in America speak several languages that aren't theirs. They probably say the same thing about us! It's like English people learning Spanish; we probably sound funny to them when we talk. So who are you to say that?

  • Not really, but Japanese start learning english from the 7th grade. Not too many of them are actually FLUENT in english, but they know enough to understand basic words and such.

  • wow! I love japan... manga, anime, language, everything! This version is "suteki" !!! ^o^

  • ditto X3 kawaii @__@

  • japanese rocks...

  • this 1 is the best fucking love it

  • THIS ONE ROCKS!!!!

  • OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH Yeah! It rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • japan rocks israel love u

  • this versione is cute^^
