I live out in Buckhead, and we got around 6-8" of snow!! I heard that downtown and some of those areas only got around 4-5" (which is still a lot for Atlanta)!
That night was so crazy!!! So my siblings and I were all waiting for it to start snowing, and were really excited because we live in Atlanta! It eventually started and we were so happy, but it usually takes many hours for there to be at least 1-2". Well I look out the window about an hour later, and oh my gosh, there had to have been around 4-5" inches on the ground, and the snow was coming down so hard!! I want another snow week like this!!
man...looking forward to ATL, wife and i are moving there in two months, she's a md/phd coming to Emory for residency. we've lived in Burlington, VT (near Canadian border) for years, we've had 6 months of winter this year and many many feet of snow. i'm ready for hotlanta and if this is the worst of the winter weather, i'll take it. Thinking of living in the Druid hills area..is it a nice spot?
@cyruseven75 Thanks for watching man! I've been in the city for about a year now... this was definitely the most wintry weather I've seen. The problem was there aren't really any snow plows here, so the streets stayed really icy for about a week. City was pretty much on lockdown for 6 days. Wild stuff
Druid Hills is a great part of town. Super close to Emory and not too far from Decatur, Buckhead and Midtown
Thanks so much! The snow was fun at first, but the icy mayhem over the following week was insane. Hope your travels were safe and thanks again for watching!
Thanks for this great video. We left Atlanta Sunday morning for a week long trade show in Vegas and your video helped us understand what we missed. Nicely done!

Just a simple tool could have saved their time and troubles. It is amazing how serious the result could be due to a lack of information.
