  • such an excellent video!

  • and this took you how long?!?!

  • Very good, appropreaite music too

  • Penguin Cafe Orchestra- Music for a Found Harmonium.

  • Love the music - can anyone tell me what it is?

  • looks like only americans are creative !!! hahaha fucking narsists .!!

  • @luciferuA you spelled "narcissist" incorrectly.

  • What was the clip with supermodels unzipping their skin to reveal fat women called? I think it was a commercial… I wanted to see it again and can't find it.

  • @greencloud100 Exit through the gift shop. it is about Banksy and Mr Brainwash

  • what a load of bullshit

  • @ramitillo It's not bull shit at all, without creativity we wouldn't have anything. Someone always has to think up a way to do something different in order to improve it.

  • is OCAD a worth going to for uni?

  • To all those who contacted me and are applying to OCAD, good luck! Also, I'm trying to put a group of GD people together to create a map made specificallt for new students. Stay tuned, will let you know the link as soon as it is done. I fanyone has anymore questions, feel free to contact me; I'm going ot be extremely busy this month, but I'll try to get back to everyone. Stay positive, stay creative.

  • @greencloud100 DON'T GO TO OCAD! SAVE YOURSELF! MY GOD ! GET AS FAR AS WAY AS YOU CAN!!!

  • okay, if you really want to go to ocad, here's what I did.. i took a paint drop sheet, and a long piece of heavy rope... I put the paint sheet on the floor, and in it I piled up 20 of my paintings.... then, I tied the drop sheet up with the rope, slung it over my back, wore my painting clothes and walked into the interview... I then opened the drop sheet and spread out the paintings.... I owned the interview....I was In!!!

  • PS most ocad students paint with mud, I never did.....

  • @film35m You didn't own the interview. You made the faculty laugh. You could have gone in with a sketch done on a mcdonald's napkin and you probably would have gotten in anyway.

  • @cuteboyishlips ....wanna bet..... as for a mc d's I saw that there, he didn't make it,

  • @film35m lol! seriously? you did what?

I dont get it, you basically tied your portfolio on a rope attatched to your body going into the interview?

  • @film35m

    Why?

  • ocad, the clown college of art and design sounds far better. A school filled with no one going to classes and death music videos. Talentless students bent on self distraction and worthlessness, How do I know this, I went there.

  • I'm a 4th year ocad student and you will never ever go to a school that is even remotely similar to OCAD. it's an experience all it's own that i can't even begin to describe. And you have to be a little crazy to get in.

  • Is it possible to become well known throughout the world from here? xD

  • I WILL LIKE TO KNOW: i AM ON THE VERGE OF going to art school but dont know which one: simply want the best one whos gonna teach all the techniques of paintings that it is to learn. dont care about the history of painting as i already read about it. ANYONE AS TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT OCAD LEARNING TOOLS ON PAINTING PROCESS? Is there a big difference if i go to OCAD instead of Emily Carr? I tough about OCAD plus the Realistic School in the evening. Please help.

  • I can help those planning on building a portfolio for OCAD. I'm a third year Fine Art student - painting and drawing. Just pm me or something. I love OCAD.

  • @Rikana hi there thanks for advice. i applied to OCAD and heard that there will be a portfolio assessment interview. could you tell me what happens in the interview like atmosphere and questions, trivias and such. I really want to get in!!! Thanks so much!

  • who is the guy at 1:35??? he is great!! very right what he said.

  • bill cosby

  • just great!

  • I'm in second year GD at OCAD, and my advice to those of you looking to apply; read over the portfolio requirements for your course and go to a portfolio seminar. Also, look into co-op programs and ask professionals about their jobs.

  • @Burningtree22 hi there thanks for advice. i applied to OCAD and heard that there will be a portfolio assessment interview. could you tell me what happens in the interview like atmosphere and questions, trivias and such. I really want to get in!!! Thanks so much!

  • I'm actually planning to go here as well. need to start up that portfolio...dunno if id be able to provide variation, but I hope I can get in still...

  • amazing I'm dieing to get into OCAD someday (like 2 years)

  • spell binding

  • Getting into OCAD is my dream but I don't know how to make a good portfolio, I heard that u need 15 best work or sumthing??

  • not necessarily 15 works. 13, 14, or 12 pieces would do. Just don't go overboard and go beyond 15. I went with only 13 pieces and I got in. Strive for VARIETY in your portfolio.

  • yup you do and believe me, it was tough!

  • you got it, but they (the judges) want to see that you are right for the program you are applying for.. not just to see if you are creative. Don't try to impress them by bringing in big works, (and in the presentation day dont panic when you see people carrying huge canvases, the judges arent impressed by that) Frankly I saw people carriying huge portfolio bags 30"x30" .. all i had was 15 of my works on letter size in a plain folder, and they loved it. I got accepted twice actually.. lol

  • I love this; I want to go to OCAD so badly.

    What is 1:26 from?

  • what is 2:17 from?

  • haha I guess the a-bom is creativity too... what can creativity do? It can kill you.

  • Creativity can... taech you to use Windows Movie Maker?

  • yeah this is what creative is all about.Open your mind to everyone what you see :)

  • Great Video.. Really marvelous....!!!!!

    Do more And More

  • I'm a NSCAD student and I want to major in Sculpture. The thing is, NSCAD does not have any other majors in Fine Arts except for the Major in Fine Arts itself. By the end of the '08 school year I'll be done with all of the sculpture programs here because they basically have only 3 courses for sculpture. But I've never been to Toronto and don't' really know if I should transfer there or not. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks.

  • Come to OCAD! its the best place on earth, and the sculpture department is the bomb! great work! and great ideas! come out of this school

  • are you a student at OCAD? what are you majoring in?

  • I am, I major in the Integrated Media program

  • I'm joining you guys this Fall XD

  • oh, and ps, where did u get all this amazing stock

  • Woah, should I or should I not try for OCAD next year....? Darn....where should I go after graduating from high school......*sigh*

  • i was thinking the same thing this year, it was down to ryerson york or ocad, all for intergrated media, so basically film and media related hijinx. Ryerson is impossible to get into unless ur marks are stellar, york is hard too (for film that is) and OCAD is relatively easy if ur talented and outgoing, so im going to OCAD unless i get word from ryerson ( im on some dumb waitlist)

  • Oh yeah, I live relatively closer to York U.......are their art courses any good? I don't even know HOW to get to Ryerson....but since you said 'out-going' for OCAD...welll...uh....*GULP*. But I live farther from OCAD and Sheridan's even farther....damn.

It's a thin choice between York U. and OCAD.....

  • its even easier to get to ryerson than ocad. and ocad is not in the same league as sheridan, ocad is offically a university. york has a wicked film and photography program, as does ryerson, but both accept about 40 out of 4000 people who apply, where as i hear ocad accepts 1/4.

  • Oh.....I see. So, in your opinion, which of the previously mentioned would be the top choices for going into art?

(I tend to be such a slow deviating bastard sometimes though.....too much paperwork would definitely kill me.)

  • sweet jesus

  • this is ok, I'm not into using found footage, i prefer to make my own stuff rather than use others footage. I see this as just great editing.

  • what is the song in the background. p.s. I'm so proud of all the ad references ;).

  • the song is called 'Music for a Found Harmonium' by the Penguin Cafe Orchestra.

  • wow this is so amazing!! =) =D

  • it can enslave you

  • Amazing, ill be there next year

  • very nice but south park dosnt make me uncomfortable.

  • I went to OCAD. I've got a great career. I'm a designer and touching the computer was only an option then. I learnt all that junk afterward. The school brought the best out of my creativity. If that didn't happen for others, it's likely because they were distracted in some way or too rebellious to listen or because they thought OCAD would teach them how to be a computer monkey.

  • Im in my 4rth year at OCAD now..and I agree with you..

One can learn to be a computer monkey in their own time..But id rather spend the lited amount of time Ive had at OCAD to gain insight into real life..and in order to do that..I suggest that students choose their instructors carefully and listen carefully rather than rebelling mindlessly..offcourse its good to be rebellious when needed ;) I had that phase..

  • OCAD is FULL of creative minds and pioneers. This is exactly what OCAD is. Go back to sleep mattalexto.

  • I agree, but they succeed IN SPITE of OCAD. I actually believe that anybody who goes to OCAD and becomes a success in their field, would have become successful no matter what school they went to. Even if they did not go to school they would become successful.

I say this because there is a huge concrete wall in the front lobby of OCAD that has nothing on it. There is a stairwell in the centre of the school which has no windows and no art in it.

  • amazing video.

  • That's all well and good but how many of those excellent examples of Creativity were a product of The Ontario College of Art and Design? Probably just that horrendous shoe box on stilts.

I wouldn't say OCAD is a creative place. A lot of OCAD students are very, very creative, but that has nothing to do with OCAD the institution.

  • Zzzz-zzzzz-zzzz. See I said the same thing.

  • Excellent stuff.
