@CountessOfOle I later discovered that he was apparently facebook friends with one of my corp mates who was facebook friends with me, but how he found out that my character and I are one is a question that still haunts me. It brought the definition of creepy stalker gamer to a whole new level for me.
I've played WoW 3 years and have a few stalkers. One guy who I was friends with tried to give me 5,000 gold, in game roses everday and it freaked me out when he wanted to send me gifts in rl. I was like sure let me give me you my address so you stalk me in rl! NOT!! Needless to say although all the WoW gifts were nice lmao I had to put him on my ignore list.

Someone in a group recognized my guild tag, he asked me if I was close to the girl. Yeah, I've known the guy for years, but he's a dude who lives in Georgia. The guy had been pretending to be a girl. He had this whole story behind the girl that was fake. Later I found out the dude got his account hacked and stripped and he payed for name changes for all characters.
I haven't told any mutual friends about this incident and I don't think he knows it was me who told that person.
Well this story isn't really creepy to me, but really funny. On my realm (I won't share to keep my joke going) I pretend to be a girl. I have an entire story and life I pretend to have. The entire realm thinks I am a real girl and that I am engaged. I also started a guild where I am of a certain hierarchy (I will not disclose because you would find me out) I now have my own following on the realm. I guess that makes me the creep, but I find it really funny how I was able to fool an entire realm.

I don't play WoW, but I do play Aika Online which is very similar. My creepy experience was as my warlock(a male only race and the center part of their chest can be seen in all their robes). Well I'm a girl(I just prefer to play guy characters) and as I'm standing in the city, some little cleric runs up to me and says "nice nipples". The cleric's "taunt" is to moon people, so as she runs away I say "nice ass little girl. Still not sure who was creepier.

Someone in a group recognized my guild tag, he asked me if I was close to the girl. Yeah, I've known the guy for years, but he's a dude who lives in Georgia. The guy had been pretending to be a girl. He had this whole story behind the girl that was fake. Later I found out the dude got his account hacked and stripped and he payed for name changes for all characters.
I haven't told any mutual friends about this incident and I don't think he knows it was me who told that person.

Well this story isn't really creepy to me, but really funny. On my realm (I won't share to keep my joke going) I pretend to be a girl. I have an entire story and life I pretend to have. The entire realm thinks I am a real girl and that I am engaged. I also started a guild where I am of a certain hierarchy (I will not disclose because you would find me out) I now have my own following on the realm. I guess that makes me the creep, but I find it really funny how I was able to fool an entire realm.
