I love the new game but I miss the soundtrack of the original Megadrive games since I thought they made the game feel a bit more disturbing and creepy (for those who are wondering, search for "splatterhouse i will find you". The new one feels more like a heavy metal massacre with Rick just smashing enemies left and right which gives you this awesome badass feeling but that original creepiness feels missing.

WTF!!!!???? THIS is the new Splatterhouse? The guy in the pic looks like a goddamn FAGGOT compared to what he looked like on Megadrive. Also, the music isn't that "scary" or "horror" as I would have expected.... this is just some wannabe "heavy" crap... the original Splatterhouse games used to keep me up at night and when I did get sleep I saw horrible nightmares... this happened when I was like 3 or 4. I mean, how is this new game gonna do it for me? The 1990s Splatterhouses were BADASS!!!

I like the boobies. And Jim Cummings as the mask is pretty cool. But I found the game itself to be linear and too essay and to be honest; I muted most of the music because many times; it just didn't seem to suit the action Don't Fear the Reaper would have been amazing for when you are falling through the dimensional gates

i think this game will be more action than horror, so the metal tracks are a little more kickass than the creepy original tunes. even if thats not the case, i really wanna spray blood all over while rocking out to this

The music fucking rules. Howard Drossin is the man. He did the music for Comix Zone as well, which is some of the best grunge rock score you'll hear. Look 'em up.

Oh yeah, he also did Sonic music, which, you know, is pretty popular...

@longlivetheloud2 Yeah I would've liked to hear more new renditions of the old splatterhouse songs thrown in the mix. Though there are SOME.. at least the Sento Nel Core remix (2010: watch?v=aVRuqG0ow3Y - original: watch?v=vkNOFwl-JR4 ). too bad it only lasts a minute. But the OST is full of "composed only for the game" songs so the metalbands aren't the only people contributing for the soundtrack.. maybe we do hear some good old tunes toward the end of the game. (I'm only on chapter 3 now..)
