  • who the hell disliked this??? morons...

  • This is the 5th or 6th time I have listened to this. Soo Han's interp reminds me of Ormandy's in that no-longer-available RCA recording of the 60s with the Philadelphians. The acoustics of this recording are barbaric, yes, but the playing is convincingly passionate and professional, almost as pro as when Vlad Ashkenazy led the Cleveland or Bernstein the Vienna at Carnegie in this beguiling, triumphant but difficult finale. Mister Han and his colleagues are superb.

  • This is bloody brilliant. A few gaffes with the horns, but then why not with Sibelius? Vibrant and fresh, youthful, GOTT SEI DANK.

  • I've listened to perhaps 20 or 30 performances of this work over the years (The old early 60s performance on Victrola LP VICS-1016 with the LSO cond. by Alexander Gibson being near the top). I have to say, I am quite impressed with what these young players and their conductor have achieved here.

  • very well done guys

  • An exhilerating performance

  • what happened to the timpani on the last two chords? why are they silent?

  • @NNomad you should probably listen to the last two chords again. the timpani is present.

  • I wish I went to this high school.... I would so play in this group oh my gosh! Amazing!

  • thank you so much to you, wonderful young people, for playing this glamorous difficult and seldom preformed piece.

    I felt your hearts beating
