"Dorothy moves/To click her ruby shoes/Right in tune/With Dark Side of the Moon." for those who never heard of it, search on youtube "the dark side of the rainbow" (Guster basically tells you that dorothy, as in dorothy from from the wizard of oz, is in sync with the dark side of the moon, the pink floyd album)...
@licnomancia i am sorry to tell you this, but everyone knows that. the pink floyd/wizzard of oz thing is a well known idea. discovered LONG before guster was a band
(sidenote: 'Vigilant Citizen' has some great articles about hidden meanings/messages in movies and music videos...here's the link to his 'Wizard of Oz' article: vigilantcitizen(dot)com/moviesandtv/the-occult-roots-of-the-wizard-of-oz/
guster is just simply the best band ive ever heard. theyre even better live than in recording. everytime i here them live they seem to change something about the song. little differences, like strumming or slight riff changed but it just adds so much more depth. and this song is epic. theyre all just incredible people
when i first heard this song, i never gave it a chance. I always skipped it on my ipod after 3 seconds. Then one day i left my itunes running and this song played through, and i found myself wondering why i never heard this song! It is absolutely amazing, the change it goes through is absolutely beautiful and the drums are fantastic. awesome song.
they used to have this amazing short music vid for this song on you tube i forget who made it but it changed my life, has anyone else seen it and know what im talkin about? i cant find it anymore :(
There was one by Brett Konner about a down on his luck college student who breaks through during the second half of the song but it was taken off of youtube because of copyright stuff I think?
@itsokayimaninja hehe! its inspiring, yanno, come downstairs and say hello it is inviting us to do AWESOME THINGS, come to where people can see/hear/read and perform.... thats how i see it all, it is an invitation to fame, dorthy clicking her ruby shoes in hope and not being here by this time of year.......
To tell you the truth I've said it before, tomorrow I start in a nude erection

one of the best guster songs ever, but there are better recordings
from "dorothy moves to click her ruby shoes," to "turn-on Mtv, the volume's down. Lips move. They say, 'it'll be okay.'"
"voices calling from a yellow road...to come down stairs and say hello..."
such a great musical trip
