  • It's lovely. Very good version, I like it. Reminds me of Dead Can Dance :)

  • Geseier, Glocken und regen gehören aber nicht dazu.

Grausig und disharmonisch verstörend, ich mags nicht.

    Das Ende geht.

  • Very impressive with the arabic prayer calls...

  • Kristen, juden unde heiden

jehent, daz diz ir erbe sî:

got müeze ez ze rehte scheiden

    durch die sîne namen drî.

Al diu werlt diu strîtet her.

Wir sîn an der rehten ger:

reht ist, daz er uns gewer.

In this strophe Walther directly speaks of the Christians right of Palestine, that it's god's will. Because of that the Palästinalied is a clear crusade propaganda.

  • @DerBadischeGryphen

Propoganda, maybe not. He was after all an independent song writer and poem writer. The feelings in this song could be how he genuinely felt on the matter, not just a state issued saying.

To argue the point, he did write 13 entire stanzas, most of which are a kind of reflecting almost nostalgic look at the Holy Land. It's not until the end where he finally states the point of the righteousness of the crusaders.

  • Whow, very beautiful !!! Give the people of Palestine freedom and peace !!!

  • @Mantu089 hm, man, this song was about Christian crusaders CONQUERING Jerusalem and Palestine..... and there is even a verse claiming Jews have the equal right to the Holy Land... so...

  • @Mantu089 The song talks of other things. It indirectly wants the people for a crusade!

  • Es klingt gut! Ich mag es..

  • Very nice, original! I appreciate it!

  • Great melody. Rim Banna have the voice. But if she want to preform this song , that u must ask her.

  • Good! Very moody, congratulations!

  • You should try to find a sweet girl to sing the lyrics he ^^

  • thanks :)

  • This really is an exceptionally good version of Palästinalied! The background noises really put you on the scene, so you can feel like a pilgrim reaching the Holy Land. All except the rain and thunder -- that isn't very typical, but I suppose it has to rain sometime! Imagine arriving in the bone-dry Holy Land to hit the first thunderstorm in years! Good job!

  • hey, it's a great version of Palastinalied, i really like it! Original, soft, impressive...

    congratulation ^_-'
