  • "they're good for the environment too" LOL

  • It's amazing how many people don't know how to do this

  • @cockercane Yeah, I used to be one of them a few years ago :-)

  • @ColinOutdoors Good for you for learning. It's a simple thing, but with a little P38 you can always have a can opener hany.

  • @cockercane Yeah I learned YEARS ago, we all did lol.

  • nice video as normal

  • @QualityKnives Thanks Ash :-)

  • i love my wave i just sent it off for some repair work ( re adjusting pliers resharpening etc.. nothing serious ) but the can opener on mine is really good of course nothing beats the lil P-38 openers still but id say the wave is better then my victorinox

  • @Maddawwg45 Hi mate, yeah the Wave is great. Leatherman service is fantastic. All rounds great tool and company, thanks for watching.

  • @ColinOutdoors really good video and yes leathermans service is second to none in my opinion and i love that way u got your fire steel in there gonne have to do the same with my wave ,thinking about geting me a supertool 300 next so ill put one in there as well .

  • @Maddawwg45 The ST300 is a great MT, hope you get one in the future.

  • if you di this, dont poor it neer camp. 3 years back over her "where i come from" a boyscout did this and it lured in a bear. to make things worse, he had gell on his hair and the friken bear tore through the tent, bit onto the poor kids head and dragged him off, leaving him dead a ways into the trees. be careful where you poor your dolphine blood or any other foods! No joke! and dont wear gel, caolone, purfume etc. when in bear territories. better to stink then die a painful scary death

  • @PHARRAOH Aye its scary stuff Alan, but for us in the UK its nothing to worry about.

  • nicely done, as always, Colin! Brief, too the point, relevant, AND entertaining! What more can us YouTubers ask for! Keep up the good work buddy!

  • @SkiDoc21 Thank you so much for the kind words and support my friend, take care.

  • The dolphin joke made me lol

  • @tendollarword Haha, cheers my friend.

  • Your native accent is more pronounced when you have a native with you. At times you are hard to understand to non-natives.

    Try a p-38 can opener.

  • @lunarrn OK mate, thank you for watching. The Wave can opener is more than up for the job.

  • Now if you just had some mayonnaise and some bread...Dash

  • @mrriprock2 Yeah lunch would of been even better :-). Cheers Dash, take care.

  • good video col! im liking the look of that leatherman and the firesteel on it is pretty cool

    haaha dont upset the dolphins!!

  • @MultiAirGunner Hey MAG, thanks my friend, take care.

  • oh no, i would drink that tuna water- waste not, want not :)

  • @teceyS3 Yeah I find the juicy tasty but it was a bit salty

  • Hey Colin,

Nice to see the demo with the can opener, since I've never used mine (on the wave) to open a can yet.

I wonder if you guys in Scotland prepare your canned (tinned) tuna differently than we do in the U.S (Mayo, celery, pickle relish - a least that's how I do it). I've never eaten it straight out of a can without added ingredients.

These are extremely important issues, as I know you can clearly see :).

    Take care.

  • @inquisitivewolf Hi mate, well I don't often eat tuna, if I do its on a sandwich with cucumber :-). Eating it out of the can is ok if a bit bland :-) Your method sounds much better, I must give it a try in the future :-)

  • Wa? No canned Haggas?!?

  • @SonofCastille Haha, maybe next time :-)

  • love the wave great tool. have you got the side kick mate? cant find a vid. if you have could you do one of them bad boy reviews you do thanks bud.

  • @fog360 Hi mate, thanks, yeah the Wave rocks. Not got the Sidekick yet

  • Nice demo... is canned dolphin any good?

  • @shippen2010 Thanks my friend, not sure, can't say i've tried it lol

  • Cool video. A can opener is nice to have when you have food in cans. KEEP ON PREPPING

  • @PatriotPrepper Thanks my friend.

  • dame that shouldent of entertained me that much!Graet video :)

  • @freddiemjames Haha, cheers my friend ,take care.

  • i broke the knife tip and the pliers off mine... =(

  • @KAPichon Sorry to hear about that dude, sent it to Leatherman, they will sort you out a new one.

  • @ColinOutdoors Hey thats actually a good idea! lol i forgot all about the 25 year warranty leatherman has for tools, thanks colin! =)

  • @KAPichon No probs my friend, I hope Leatherman fix or replace it for you :-)

  • Mmm, Tuna...I know what I'm having for lunch!

  • @IAMRONIN Hope you enjoyed your Tuna at lunch my friend.

  • @ColinOutdoors Aye, it was quite good!

  • @IAMRONIN Glad to hear it, take care :-)

  • I use canola oil for my knifes and multi tool keeps the rust off, heard olive oil does the same havent try it. it leves a film on the tools and your knife when your going to use it give it a quick wipe. dust and dirt kinda like to stick to it but just give it a good wipe before you use. really I just use it for storage not out in the feild. i would use hoppes no9 but thats gun oil and would prevent rust no doubt but you dont wanna ingest that. I use hoppes no9 on axe and saw to prevent rust.

  • @mrsuperterd Interesting idea my friend, cheers for sharing.

  • I think the leatherman can opener works way better.......but like your mate said anything is better than a rock.

  • @secretsquirrell13 Yeah its a good can opener, perhaps I will give the rock method a try one day :-)

  • Wot!!....no Hello Everybody?

Your lucky your not in Alaska...wiping the tuna scented water on your clothes is asking for trouble from the bears...lol

  • @RDPproject Sorry Rob, 'Hello Everybody' :-) Yeah I can imagine in locations with large predators, especially bears, tuna for lunch may not be a good idea lol.

  • @ColinOutdoors

heh heh heh....hope you like my video response?....

I would like to see you try it on your next outing mate.

  • @RDPproject Yeah it was good, well done mate

  • I just watched a video of a pair of hands using a Leatherman to open a can of tuna in the woods and I enjoyed it immensely. I'm not sure what that means but thanks for posting this.

  • @nextexhale Lol, glad you enjoyed the video my friend ,take care :-)

  • A bit slow, but I'm sure with a bit more practice, he'll be able to open them quicker.

Upset the dolphins LOL poor excuse; they taste just as good as tuna ;o)

  • @Mawogdawalldahonk There is no need to go quickly, its called patience.

  • @ColinOutdoors Aye, but if you have 10 to do for a bunch of hungry cadets.... LOL

  • @Mawogdawalldahonk Haha, very true mate,

  • Love your friends attitude. Sure they are not the greatest or fastest can openers, but they work better than a rock! Classic.

  • @AussieMark909 I love the old fasioned P38, takes a bit of getting used to, but can't fault it, plus the added bonus of being a space saver.

  • @Mawogdawalldahonk Never tried one, I shall need to in the future, thanks for watching.

  • @AussieMark909 Hi Mark, thanks my friend lol, take care.

  • ROFL.....it's easier than opening it with a rock. After wiping the opener on your pants, I bet when you got home your cat went nuts over your pants......LOL. Take Care my friend :-))

  • @SurviveN2 Hi Dragon, yeah I think my friends cats were sniffing round his Leatherman after this trip out, 'hmm tuna' lol, take care.

  • I have the minimalist leatherman kick. I got it for from my wife and I love it.

  • @jackclark1981 Yeah the Kick is a great tool, nice one my friend.

  • very cool

  • @Texasoutback Thanks my friend

  • Caution: the following may contain sarcasm..

Nice one Colin, I have never seen a You Tube video on opening a can of tuna before! Wow! Neato! Cool! Awesome Job!

Just kidding of course my friend, I just didn't know what else to say... : o) I gave you thumbs up though! : )

  • @saradreaming Haha, yeah Sara my friend, is often sarcastic and every second sentence contains some wit. Take care

  • Ok, while I enjoyed your video and I know you were just showing off your Leatherman's tools, I could have opened the can with my pocket knife. It's just a P.O.C. (piece of crap) Smith and Wesson. But it does hold an edge for a time, till I get around to sharpening it . Anyway, I thought you guys were outdoors-men or something similar, ha ha......Let's see some more out door men shit....Peace

  • @dirtridermag44 Haha, thanks my friend. Some outdoors manly stuff in the future then, I will remember that :- )

  • So you don't upset the dolphins hilarious

  • @MrDeadpool25 Haha, yes he is very witty

  • Very cool guys,

A can opener is very important in this situation.

There are indeed people...the open beer bottles with his teeth. ;-)

But I think...latest on the can of tuna ..they would lose their teeth. :-D haha

Leatherman is definitely cheaper, as a dentist. ;-)

    Leatherman rocks :-D YEA

You use the better and smartest way. cool :o)

    Thanks my friend.

Have you a great time together.

    Greetings Tito

  • @Naturliebe Hi Tito, yeah a can opener is certainly better than teeth, my dentist agrees :-) Thanks my friend, take care

  • It's so great to listen to your conversation - I study lingusitcs and I love accents in general, but yours is my all time favourite!

Thanks for the video! - Peace to fair Scotland!

  • @vitopetre Thanks for the kind words my friend, take care

  • Should have used the dolphins tears to make the brew, Mmm fishy coffee.

  • @MrHatManS LOL, thanks for watching my friend.

  • Nice my friend. Tuna is a good source of protein, so I like it :)

  • @UltimateSurvivalMan Yeah tuna is great, cheers my friend.

  • @ColinOutdoors good source of mercury too! :-)

  • @MrConradF Haha,very true.

  • seriously never knew how to use that tool till now, thx

  • @tostrong4you Glad it helped my friend, take care.

  • I prefer the leatherman style opener. It allows you to punch vent holes in larger cans, and use then as makeshift sterno stoves.

  • @dertnberny Great idea my friend, something I may try with the can in the future.

  • im ordering spam ;)

  • @Beezhunter Oh Spam Rocks ;-)

  • now the best thing you can do once you have opened it is to throw stinking horrible stuff away lol

  • @biguglygadgie Haha, not a fan of tuna then

  • "Works better than a rock" Your friend has a great sense of humor.

  • @eschwebach He sure does and good advice :-)

  • Great video, Colin! Always good to see a leatherman in action. Although I still prefer a victorinox can opener.

  • @investigator76 Thanks my friend, always appreciate your support

  • Lol! Oh the poor dolphins'n whoa is me! I must start a rally to save them. They are the 99%

  • @ironmonkeyz Lol, thanks my friend

  • Fun video my friend, I bought the Tuna in the pouches for the homemade MRE's I made, figured I could just use my hand. A "Leatherman at Work" great. I love Tuna, can eat it with just a little salad dressing over it, change the dressing and change the whole expirience. Making them with the bargin items I found would be a great video. Not sure I want to put it out there yet, very close, OFUG on video may be too scary for viewers. Take care buddy, enjoy your videos and have a great day.

  • @ewtoutdoors Thank you so much my good friend. That is a really good idea for homemade MRE's I haven't encountered tuna in pouches over hear, I shall need to look for them :-)

  • Good video. You see us talk about the tools we have but very few demos. Good job friend. Love some tuna too!

  • @dxporker Thanks my friend, wasn't sure if it would of been a good video but its good to see the tools in action.

  • whats the bags name?

    it looks awsome :)

    pls reply.

  • @petersupermann Sorry mate not sure what you meant by 'bags name' oh and I always reply

  • @ColinOutdoors sry, english isn't my first languag.

but i ment the leather sheet of the leatherman wave tool :)

  • @petersupermann Hi my friend, its ok. The sheath is the Leather one that comes with the tool, thank you for watching, take care.

  • mmmm TUNA

  • @KierrenB96 Yummy :-)

  • FUCKING LOVE TUNA MATE

  • @Smith28Adventure Haha, I like it to mate

  • Hey you forgot to say "hello everybody"

    Great vid Colin

  • @2kargarage1 Sorry mate, I shall remember next time :-)

  • Here is a bad recipy for you. Hiccup tuna. Just open the can, and press the lid down as hard as you can. And then the tuna vill be so dry when you eat it so you will get a hiccup.

Leatherman Wave is a great tool. I use mine a lot. Have a nice day. Thanks for the vid.

  • @BoIwar Haha, I don't think I shall be trying that method. Yeah the Wave Rocks, hope you have a great day too, take care.

  • NOTE: When opening tins of tuna in the woods watch out for bears - or packs of feral cats

  • @WanderingWallaby Luckily for me not a problem in my country

  • @ColinOutdoors I dunno; I've seen your cat on other videos. Looks like it could turn nasty at any minute ;)

  • @WanderingWallaby Haha, yeah he can do (only when I am trying to put him outside in the rain) :-)

  • If I had a dollar for every can I've opened and ate I'd be rich!

  • @MyHollowpoint Haha, well I hope you get rich one day buddy

  • great video ( I HATE TUNA ) (:

  • @motorbikesrule125 Thanks my friend

  • if i had tuna, i wouldnt have to go get lunch...

  • @mysciencenow LOL, I hope you had a good lunch anyway my friend, thanks for watching.

  • Great vid as usual buddy!

  • @Valerieannleeh Thank you Valerie :-)

  • @ColinOutdoors Im only watching for the accent :)

  • @bigdima3 Cheers my friend.
