  • dude just watch your intro video and see how far you've come :)

  • I recently began seeing a transman and he says that he is past the phase you are living thru. He has been transitioned for about 10 years now. There are ups and downs. Just keep your head held high. You are looking great too, btw. My bf sees a therapist every week still because it seems to help.

  • I really appreciate the comment. Thank you.

  • I know what you mean. I'm hoping it has something to do with the fact that for the greater part of our life we were living in the wrong gender and so it will take awhile for our brain to catch up on the idea that we are correct on the outside now.

  • I go through this too- and glad that I'm not alone.

    Thanks for posting the vid.

  • I feel the same at regular points. some things just really irk me about my appearance and my body. but not entirely sure if it's just transition related, or it's just a general thing.

I'm also the same with my facial hair. even though I'm being told all the time that I need to shave and it looks silly, I don't care so much because I can see it, and everyone else can. plus I like playing with it, lol.

  • Thanks for posting this.I think alot of us feel the same way

  • being someone who's almost two years into T too, I think I can say I have similar feelings. I'm not always concerned about feeling masculine, but I definitely have issues with shaving off my facial hair... as well as not perceiving myself as male all the time - even if other people are. I think it's just a confidence issue on my part. Anyway, hope you're doing well!

  • Yeah, a lot of the time I feel the same way. Thanks for making this video; I can definitely relate to it.

  • i FEEL SAME TOO and I dont even pass now! 2 years on T.!!!

  • I feel similarly to JayYankee. Somedays when I'm talking I don't feel like my voice has really changed, or that it still sounds too feminine.

Hang in there man. You also got a lot on your plate - school and work - which could be contributing to how you feel as well, or the heightening of an already existing feeling.

  • I'm 3+ years on T, have a beard and even had lower surgery. But I still have days where I feel like I don't present masculine enough or that my body just isn't male. Personally, I think feelings like this can come from a variety of different places, not all in your head or transition related, but things like the media and the stereotypes we're constantly faced with- being told we're not man enough. Society at large just makes us believe that we're not good enough as we are, trans or not....

  • I wish it were different but for now what I do is remind myself of all that I've been through. I also try to look in the mirror and see all that I can now appreciate, even if I don't love it at least I can be satisfied. Anyway, hope it gets better for you man. If it helps, I think you're pretty damn masculine.

  • I feel the exact same way, good to know I'm not alone.

  • i feel the same way. thanks for putting this out there

  • i have the same feelings. i've been on T for 10 months and have days where i don't look male. I also feel like my voice still sounds the same, even though i watch videos and can hear it change. Hoping for lots of facial hair

  • Sorry spelling mistake, that should be i don't feel either male or female internally.

  • Hey dude, I can actually understand a lot of what you are feeling even though im pre everything. Although a large amount of the time i pass as male i don't feel neither male or female internally but I want to be taken as male and i want to be male on the outside. I want a male body, i want the male voice, the male chest etc. Im transitioning to get the body i feel i should have always had. But my internal gender says im not anything. I hope that made some sense

  • shave it! you have to!

if you don't, it won't come back thicker or darker.

  • That is just not true. You grow armpit hair during puberty and that shows up and gets darker without ever being shaved, other body hair is no different.

  • all body hair grows differently. the hair on my face is stiffer than the hair under my arms. if I shave my face, the hair comes out thicker/darker than it was before.

when I was pre t, I didn't have sideburns UNTIL I shaved them. then they came back thicker and darker. same goes for the rest of my face. that happens with all hair.

if my cousin never shaved his chest/stomach, his hair wouldn't look like it does now and he wouldn't need laser hair removal.

  • im sorry your feeling that way dude

    ~Jay
