@sho942000 They actually switched to single exhaust in 89. The boat in this video was the last year for the duals. :-( I have often thought about converting my 91 to dual exhaust, but that would be a big project!

What I wonder is, for trucks, you can swap the muffler and get a pretty aggressive sound much like the video above, with only a single exhaust outlet. I'm wondering if you could do the same with a single exhaust boat? It's not so much the dual exhaust I want (though I love the polished tips you can get on Malibu ski boats), but that intoxicating sound of a V8.
@sho942000 I've always heard that removing the Invertaflow muffler and replacing it with a Y-pipe will give you more of a traditional V8 exhaust note. I'm not sure how it would compare to the dual exhausts of the pre-'89 models.
Awesome. I was a kid of the 80's and 90's and grew up on the lake listening to that sound all summer long as the Nautiques took off and pulled skiers out of the water. The lake had at least 40 Correct Craft owners. I loved that sound in the 80s, I love it today, and now I have my own Ski Nautique and it will never get old....

Beautiful boat. That sound is why I want a ski boat. It KILLS me that Correct Craft went to single exhaust in the early 90s.
