@Sorted6996 Hold a protest but make sure that it is non-violent. Violence removes any degree of righteouness that you have and the media will punish you for being violent. Instead, do what Gahndi did, non-violent non-cooperation. Approach the police barricades not with black suits and bricks but with open arms and a blank stare. Walk up to the police in peace and try to pass them. Turn them into the villains. Look at history, look at how India was liberated from the British. Capitalism is next.

I was on security detail at Bay and King. Our officers had bricks, golfballs, and firebombs thrown at us. We watched one of the police cruisers get burnt out- the firebomb thrown at it while an officer was still inside! What the fuck are these 'protesters' trying to accomplish? Just our unit alone almost had 2 men seriously injured amd our property horribly damaged. I wish the police cut to the chase and used live ammunition.

I am free to love the fact that I pay taxes that pay for health care, schools, roads, etc. I have never been harassed by the police. I do not break laws. I do not provoke the police, nor do I attend mass gatherings of angry people that have the potential to become violent.
The apathy in this culture is really sad. People are too engrossed with things such as watching the World Cup, that they don't care about issues happening around the world. I'm not saying that we can't have these entertainments, but people should not immerse themselves in it to the point where they don't care about anything else. That is why many gather to protest at the G20, because our leaders do not do enough for human rights, and are too concerned with keeping the banks

I live in AB and between the reports on the cost of security, vandalism, and arrests, I could not tell you one issue that the peaceful protester were about. And it was not because I was not reading about the conference, it was because all the news agencies were concentrating on the violence, and not the messages that the protesters were trying to convey.

Instead, do what Gahndi did, non-violent non-cooperation. Approach the police barricades not with black suits and bricks but with open arms and a blank stare. You say there is no "new world order" But then why has every politician since George Bush Sr. attended Bilderberg meetings and always speak about a "New World Order"? They speak it with their own mouth, they incriminate themselves by the company they keep, its not chasing phantoms, its real. But violence on either side of the spectrum is wrong. @RustySporks Hell, nearby where I live, just one county away from me, cops were caught in a huge drug scandal, and hell at the latest G20 summit, they're investigating where cops allegedly beat and molested and may have actually raped some girls. So...... yeah, you need to wake up dude corruption is everywhere and sometimes even the cops are corrupt I'm not saying all of them are bad I'm sure many are good people but you can't trust all people trust is earned not given..... same with respect....

@RustySporks Look into all the police brutality cases..... look into all the times cops pull over the elderly and taser them for refusing to sign their tickets..... look up all the times the cops bust into houses without warrants and just beat the shit out of people... sometimes over something as simple as a noise ordinance violation..... thats not right..... police brutality must stop, and corruption of government must stop....

The police came down the left and cut into the crowd, and started batoning everyone, the crowd behind didnt know and surged forward givin no option but for us to push against the police who in turn kept batoning us. A man was severly injured, bleeding everywhere, and it was turned into a spectacle for the media. They wanted to send him to Jail for 3yrs! I gave evidence at his trial.

I was on security detail at Bay and King. Our officers had bricks, golfballs, and firebombs thrown at us. We watched one of the police cruisers get burnt out- the firebomb thrown at it while an officer was still inside! What the fuck are these 'protesters' trying to accomplish? Just our unit alone almost had 2 men seriously injured amd our property horribly damaged. I wish the police cut to the chase and used live ammunition.

I respect authority, if and when legitimate. This is clearly way out of hand. I don't support their tactics at all, but you are being no better by saying you would have stabbed them to death. There were many peaceful protesters today, me being one of them. It is unfortunate when the Black Bloc give everyone a bad rep. But many of the police are no better either.

How is my violence justified when denouncing theirs? Because I didn't actually do it, and I won't actually do it. They destroyed the private property of the innocent. I'm positive that my imaginary violence is more justifiable than their real violence.

@dmteply If there were no protests: 1) there wouldn't have to be a significant police presence, 2) The security costs for the summit would be lower, 3) The cowardly vandals would not have a place to hide and do their evil deeds, 4) There would not be burned cars, broken windows and looted shops. Protesting the G20 summit is NOT going to make it go away, so why don't we all just let the world leaders meet and we could all just go to the bar and watch the World Cup matches in peace and harmony?

I am free to love the fact that I pay taxes that pay for health care, schools, roads, etc. I have never been harassed by the police. I do not break laws. I do not provoke the police, nor do I attend mass gatherings of angry people that have the potential to become violent.
