@stephenv25 I don't think it's available on Steam. There are quite a few places in EU where you can buy the boxed version of the game with its expansion, both new and used, though.
I really like your playstyle so far. The way you set up your guys and the way you play, is very much the way i do, so i look forwards to watching this.
I like this a lot, so far. As I haven’t kept up with games much, I think the graphics are great. I’ve seen Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2, and I still like the graphics here. You’ve played a soldier. What others among the different roles have you played? I look forward to seeing if you can directly control the other squad members, or if they’re randomly unreliable, as with Final Fantasy Tactics.
@Pastshelfdate Well, if you select your team members of various professions, you get the chance to play all of the classes as you basically control the whole squad, like in Jagged Alliance or X-Com. There are no random factors as far as your team members go, except the to-hit and skill rolls, of course.
And yeah, for such an old game, the graphics are wonderful and the destructible environment is awesome!
@MetalCanyon Sorry, I commented that before I saw the quick saves in the video, but this might be good for other games. When you record videos, you of course automatically get a video created. Anyway, if you put that on windows movie maker, you can go the part where you quick save or save and just click split part. When the quick save ends, split that part out. Delete that one part you edited out and then we don't see the saves, which saves us a few seconds.
@mryoubar That would be a lot of work combing through every recorded move to remove all such parts. If these 20 minutes were in one big chunk, then I'd definitely agree. But since you only see a few seconds in every part, it's not worth the bother. Like poison; it won't kill you in tiny amounts.
@mryoubar Of course, the audio when you talk about the quick save or saving will have to be edited out too, using the same method, but instead you are splitting the audio, not the video. I hope this helps...It might be hard to understand.

Well, i'm a bit restive from trying WW2 games because i always have moral issues with them: i don't want to play the Nazi, but i'm Italian so i like to use my nationality when possible.
But i have to admit this one looks really good (and you can't name squad, so i will not be sad to not be part of it.)
@CrowMercury This game is squad-based and there'd be no point in recruiting. I -could- rename soldiers but I could never fit in everyone who wanted to be one.. So I just don't do it.
And why wouldn't you want to play as a Nazi? They were no different than the British, Russian or the others in WW2. Just one more side in the war. If you're objecting their leadership, that's another thing.
wow awesome game!i really like destructible terrain,an incredible feature!But very distracting for me,as i always want to destroy every single bit of the map at the first maps XD
@marcelobk1000 Hahah, that would take quite a long time! Although some of the grenades are so powerful they can literally destroy almost an entire small house!

And I've booby trapped doors as well but was never really successful. Damn enemies never wanted to open them, even though I've had such a nice ambush placed behind them...
@MetalCanyon yeah i thought the radius 3 explosion was 3 feet away,it was 3 floors.I was retreating from 7 traitors and placed the mine.It killed 8 people!Going to see part 2 now!
@TheTingcat You could do that. But that would mean your soldiers would get bogged down plus they won't be able to throw grenades very far, which means they'll be easy targets for enemy soldiers. However, you CAN throw the grenades around corners (sort of) and over walls. :)

This game oozes old school Fallout to me, which like this game, had quality ahead of it's time, I may have to dig that out again at some point, gonn' shoot me some super muties. >:D
It actually looks VERY good, although the voice acting is hilarious (I wonder if they did it on purpose). Looking forward for more ! I was asking myself, though, what is the purpose of soldiers ? Snipers seem to be pretty good when it comes to shooting down enemies. So what are soldiers good for ?
@KethamBodds It does. And yes, the voice acting is Resident Evil 1 style, although not so extreme. :p
Soldiers can use heavy weapons efficiently, which are deadly at short-medium ranges as they can devastate soldiers (and create large holes in walls for others to shoot through). You'll see that snipers won't always be useful as we go into buildings and narrow corridors.
It's too bad this game isn't available via digital distribution. It looks fun, but I can't justify the cost of buying it over Amazon. It's around $70 new, $35 used. It's too bad, I love these sort of games.
Can't wait to check out this lets play! Just a note, several times you were using some of your AP to aim, not getting enough accuracy to take the shot that turn and then not using the rest of your ap to aim before ending turn.. Something to watch out for.

May I suggest editing out your saves? It saves about 30-60 minutes of time in the end.
