i have an xbox and i have played 2K9 and i thought it was pretty good till i play 09 the show. The show blows everything about 2K away, no doubt about it. Now i have to get a ps3 for the show 2010
@TheMJJProductionsInc (Part 1), "MLB THE SHOW" is an absolute great (it is my favorite game), BUT it does NOT completely blow everything about "MLB 2K BASEBALL" away as you have come to believe.
Some things "MLB 2K BASEBALL" does better is the no-stitch commentary. It is far superior. The overall presentation, game atmosphere is better in "MLB 2K BASEBALL." Batters demeanor (e.g. stepping out of the batters box after each pitch) during their at-bats are far superior in MLB 2K
@TheMJJProductionsInc (Part 2), "Stepping out of the box" after EACH pitch is clearly done properly and so much better in "MLB 2K." Don't dismiss this aspect, because this is what hitters do in real baseball games. It is also PART of the reason why real baseball games takes 3 hours or more to complete.
@TheMJJProductionsInc (Part 3) In "MLB 2K BASEBALL," after each pitch, batters "step out of the box" to do their trademark nuances BEFORE they step back into the batter's box to prepare for the next pitch. This is an authentic element that adds REALISM to the game.
@TheMJJProductionsInc (Part 4) In "THE SHOW," only some to very few would "step off the plate", BUT most simply remain standing in the batter's box. Even on certain close pitches that almost grazes the body, the batter's in "THE SHOW" remains standing in batter's box. They don't even try to get out of the way to avoid those close pitches.
@TheMJJProductionsInc (Part 5) If "THE SHOW" preaches authenticity, they need to get the animations for "stepping out of the box after each pitch" implemented. Yes, it's only a cosmetic issue, BUT it is part of baseball that happens in each and every single game, and in each and every single at-bat.

@TheMJJProductionsInc (Part 6) I am sure you have watched your fair share of baseball games. Take a look at how Major League Baseball players behave at the plate and in between pitches. They step off the plate or step out of the batters box after each pitch. Seeing what MLB 2K is able to accomplish with this facet of the game gives them some bonus points for realism.
The only pitcher I get to watch all the time is Cole Hamels, and MLB the Show got him right. He doesn't start with his pitching hand on the ball he puts it in the glove as he starts to wind up. The Show is right when it comes to Hamels.

Have you played both of these? Mlb 09 the Show graphics are way better {not a ps3 or 360 fanboy, have and love both}. It has progressive lighting, moving shadows, and that's just graphics. It is a very good {and not Broken!} game gameplay wise, actually has the correct ballpark dimensions and doesn't have ads in places where their aren't any, and it's actually worth the 60 bucks!
Thats almost impossible the show has better graphics more reaslitic facial expressions, batting/pitching styles and...2k9 has like a million glitches and i mean a ton theres no way
the show is the best you know why because is sony blue ray pictured 2k9 is not, im not a fan boy or nothing but I love playing mlb 09 the show. lol I made one character and used all his points on batting speed power and accuracy and some on throwing and catching, I always get homeruns
reviews have nothing to do with your own personal opinion if you like a game that you have been playing for years then your use to it people are talking about graphics and stuff. Some people like 2k better then EA because its just how they feel and how what games they play.

Ryan Ludwick batting stance in 2k9 is a custom stance. It's not his actual stance, it's a stance they give to players who they didn't give their own signature stance to.
2k9 does have better pitching motion capture technology over the shows tech, but, the show has graphics, commentary, and alot less glitches, 2k9 has alot of player customizations (if its anything like 2k8) (also, just to clarify this, niether game got peavy's motion right, which is understandable, his is hard) and k-rod in 2k9 is closer to his, but, the problem is in the show he has a stretch motion (becuase he had men on), the full windup looks more like how he threw before he was the closer

K-rod used to fall off the mound alot, he doesn't do it as much anymore but he sometimes does it, also not all 2k9 windups are th same, ur looking at the custom windups, it would be pretty hard for them to give every player their own unique windup, so some players they give them a custom windup/battingstance

Plus, people do care about it, especially the developers. Otherwise, none of the batters would have any "stepping out of the box" animations. More importantly, "Chris_SCEA_Sports" (MLB developer; Operationsports website) have addressed this concern and am looking to implement more of these animations for future MLBtheShow installments.

They step off the plate or step out of the batters box after each pitch. Seeing what MLB 2K is able to accomplish with this facet of the game gives them some bonus points for realism.

Have you played both of these? Mlb 09 the Show graphics are way better {not a ps3 or 360 fanboy, have and love both}. It has progressive lighting, moving shadows, and that's just graphics. It is a very good {and not Broken!} game gameplay wise, actually has the correct ballpark dimensions and doesn't have ads in places where their aren't any, and it's actually worth the 60 bucks!

Ryan Ludwick batting stance in 2k9 is a custom stance. It's not his actual stance, it's a stance they give to players who they didn't give their own signature stance to.

2k9 does have better pitching motion capture technology over the shows tech, but, the show has graphics, commentary, and alot less glitches, 2k9 has alot of player customizations (if its anything like 2k8) (also, just to clarify this, niether game got peavy's motion right, which is understandable, his is hard) and k-rod in 2k9 is closer to his, but, the problem is in the show he has a stretch motion (becuase he had men on), the full windup looks more like how he threw before he was the closer

what are you talking about? matsuzakas not the only mess up. did you notice that most of the 2k9 windups are the same? and i never knew k-rod falls off the mound every fricken pitch. and lincecum shakes his head after every pitch? i never played with either of those guys because i played the phillies with the braves and quit right away.

K-rod used to fall off the mound alot, he doesn't do it as much anymore but he sometimes does it, also not all 2k9 windups are th same, ur looking at the custom windups, it would be pretty hard for them to give every player their own unique windup, so some players they give them a custom windup/battingstance
