you have wonderful ballet feet :) just a tip though, during the jete, make sure you straighten your second leg in the air. Both legs should be straight in the air for a split second.
@oldpersonish Yes, indeed, you make a very good point. There is a moment when both legs are completely straight; engaging the muscles in the thighs and above the knees ("pulling up") when you saute is a good way to ensure that happens. Thanks for your input!
I have a question: I'm a 16 year old girl with no ballet experience whatsoever. Do I still have a chance at learning ballet for fun? And does body shape influence that decision?
@CoquettishGame - Yes, you absolutely can learn! I teach many many teens and adults who have never had any training and some of them even danced on stage in a recent Nutcracker performance. And no, body shape does not have any bearing on learning ballet for your own enjoyment and physical fitness. I encourage anyone who wants to learn to seek out the right teacher. Every teacher has her own style so you need to find the one that meshes with you personally. My style emphasizes humor. :)
@FitBallet Thanks for the encouragement. I'm 23, never had any ballet training, but I've had numerous dancers ask me if I did because my feet are apparently really "perfect" for it. I love to watch it but never really figured I could do it, even for my own pleasure. My body type also was a factor. While not fat by any means, I am a curvy girl. I suppose while I don't have much of a shot with a company, I can find an adult studio and learn. Thanks! :)

Could you tell me the name of the music in the background? I would really appreciate it.

@pctctExAS Hi, I don't know the music, sorry! I know it's public domain b/c I can't afford to pay for music. The guy who cut it for me chose it.
