when i hear this i hear the pride in a fathers heart seeing a child willing to give up his favorite toy and be selfless and the father thinking of his walk with god how we are to be like that child and be selfless and trusting that God will take care of us in the end putting others needs and desires before our own

and also as the father rewarded the son for his selflessness by example how much more will our father in heaven reward us for being selfless in this life?

I am not really so sure about th message of the song, saying yes - but to what? I have to listen to it better. I do think Jason has matured as a song writer though and that is a good thing, but I do love some of the older early stuff which wasn't so mature but totally vulnerable heart committed worship. If he is just entertaining as you say, I am sure the Lord will do the necessary rebuking to bring him in line.

Very sad. Jason used to worship the father in spirit and in truth for who he REALLY is. Now, you just get entertainment. They are getting more and more rocky... the spirit of God is not in this song, as well as a lot of his recent songs.

Not always bad but it is not worship... And listening to it too much can be unhealthy. And then everyone dancing all around.....

And worship is more than a STYLE of music, u can worship with only walk, with say THANX GOD...

So... i u see, Keith Green was a leader or worship, but he made many songs that r NOT WORSHIP style, like, DEAR JOHN LETTER to the devil, SO U WANNA GO BACK TO EGYPT? and well, u can call worship? even when is a song, is for God.

worship has no boundaries..

if you say that they arent worshiping because it doesent sound like a "christian" song then you are the one who is caught up in religion and need to take a second glance at your self before you judge others.

Next, why is it funny? If I'm the one that is messed up, why are you laughing at me? You are supposed to be burdened for me, and pray for me... love me and correct me, in love. Thats according to scripture.

@shgadwa Jason Upton wrote this song because he's been teaching his own children to say yes.  After all, From an early age we humans want to scream "NO!" Instead of being selfless like God. Jason's having fun, not trying to be religious. God wants children in His family so he can Lavish HIS Love upon them. We asked for a King when God just wanted to be our Father : (Jeremiah 3: 19)
