Thanks so much! Wanted to learn this song for a while, hadn't even thought about checking out YouTube. Because I'm way too cheap to buy the actual sheet music for this :p Helped me out. Can't play the octave on my left hand because... I'm too lazy to train my left hand to do it. So I'm just playing the broken chords over the one octave instead of two. Doesn't create a full enough sound, but the whole song sounds amazing! I can't believe you figured it out by ear! I am thoroughly impressed

Good tutorial! All the chords are correct, but if you want it to sound exactly like the recording, the g minor and F major are in 2nd inversion so you would descend from Eb major chord to play D-G-Bb and then descend and play C-F-A. Its a bit less jumpy too

if your piano has a sustain pedal plug in the back, you can get a pedal and hook it up and just hold the pedal down and it will let the notes 'ring' out

It's easier if you just invert the g minor chord differently so that  you play D-G-B flat.

The piano they actually use in the song is a NN-19 Digital Sampler, Grand Piano setting on the Propellerhead's Reason software. If you play it along with the music, you can't even hear yourself play ;)

Just get a sustain pedal, it sustains the note until you release your foot from the pedal. I hate not having one.
