LOL...your talking about a vast under taking...not to mention the weight (tonnage) that these big, very powerful diesels pull is enormous... You don't understand what you are seeing...LOL...
The reason why it accelerated so fast because it was a passenger train, try towing cars + steel + everything else with 3 engines and 10-15 cars filled with the said stuff.
I'm glad this wasn't another one of those disaster/crash videos. Time to do something useful and constructive with those camcorders. Like film THIS video! I bet that 2nd train had a buncha hobos on it.
Many words: not liking tripods because you are always on the go, and do not have time to set up the tripod and then put it away. Like he said, he was waiting for an Amtrak train. I do not use a tripod, my videos are shaky, but i am always on the go to. I am usually on the way to some place when there is a train coming and i decide to film it. Dont yell if you do not know the situation.
the bitter enemies. who used to be friends. as of 2008.

aww...you should've captured the length of the freight; you're very fortunate if you catch a daytime BNSF on that line.
Chapas45 5 years ago
I wanted to film the entire freight, but I heard the announcement of my southbound Amtrak (you can hear it on the video) and decided to stop filming.
