this video is very helpful to me as i have a cuban boa who has pretty much the same attitude issues, I cant get near him, i only hope that i can get him to calm down as much as yours, thank you Jason
He is gorgeous Jason !!!! With your gift and way with snakes I know you won't have any issues with Exception !! Chewy was SO like that the first few months lived in strike posture and any vibration in the house he started striking and now look at him. All it takes is gentle tender respect and love for them. SNAKES KNOW !!!!! You've worked wonders with him Jason and we both know our love and respect and determination to work with them can make all the difference in the world :O) Excellent !!
@1softkiss I feel especially proud of my progress with him. He had that stereotypical emerald attitude to start with and in just this short time, he seems to really like me. He hasn't struck at me or anything (except a rat of course) in weeks and seems very content and relaxed. I hope to breed him with Eden this winter if she will take him. He is a special little fellow and I love him so much!
Thats a nice GTB! haha i agree, when i first got a couple of my snakes that struck at me a lot, they got really ungly fast! lol now they're tame and beautiful lol
What a gorgeous snake Jason! I have mad respect for you my friend! So many people would have just given up on a snake that was aggressive at first but you my friend worked with him and changed him. His name is perfect too!
Beautiful Jason!, loving him!. You look amazing by the way!. Where did you get him?, could you think of any reason why he was so aggressive? I Think he is beautiful!. I'm going to wait till I consider ever buying anything like this because it don't want the snake to die!. I love these animals!.
i am very happy for you jason. beautiful snake.... i look up to you bro and good to see another snake enthusiast. the 2 snakes that i love the most are both the emerald boa and burmese python.
Awsome etb. I will say though, in my opinion, its the aggression most tree boas have that makes them so awesome. But if you like them handlable, congrats on calming him down.
Sweet,So Glad He Calm Down For You,Such A Gorgeous Snake,It Takes Work To Get The Snake's Trust, Some Don't Take The Time,2 Months,Some People, Would Not Have Went That Long,That's Why There Is So Many Snakes Given To Shelters,People Just Give Up,Good Job Jason
@MrReptileSmile I am just thrilled myself with him. I now only have one in my collection that is aggressive and that is one of my female blood pythons named Ursula. Her sister Anastasia has calmed down nicely but Ursula stumps me, but I keep trying! = )
@cutegayjason thats true i wld like for one day to have one but for right now im stickin to my boas its amazin how u get ur snakes so tame i have like 2 to work with to make them nice by the way the burm is doin great!!!!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!
laying here quietly in the dark of my room. Its past midnight. I'm the only one up in my house, and while you were talking in your video i was listening calmly then all of the sudden the sound effect at the end came and scared the bejesus out of me.... i think i must have jerked 3 ft and my heart missed a few beats... lol great video though and beautiful snake.
haha jason i love you! my red tail boa jade still hasnt stuck at me yet... im awaiting it tho i kinda wanna get her to just bite me so i know what its like and all that. but i dont wanna at the same time... shes very docile. she grows like a dang weed though almost like 3.4ft now
@Livelavalive274 Yeah, I've had them pierced for years. I don't often wear much jewelry at home but those diamond earrings have screwback posts so you dont accidentally loose them and I leave them in several days at a time.
@bigjayinga I have had him about 3 months, it took me almost a month just to open his cage without a strike, and took several more weeks of me gently petting him blocking his head with plastic for him to let me touch him without being struck at and then I think he saw that I meant him no harm and he mellowed down a lot!
@bigjayinga Cleaning his tank has been difficult. He has a removable perch so I had to take him out while he was covered with a towel to scrub down his tank until he settled down. I tried to make everything as stress free as possible and he has dramatically changed! I am so proud!
@idelphie Thank you so much! I feel especially proud of his progress. It feels so good to know that a snake that acted so aggressive could learn to trust me in such a short time.
I had high hopes. : ) I wasn't worried, I knew you could do it! Your dedication has paid off, and will continue to do so. Now if we can just teach Ursula some manners!!!
FANTASTIC job, Jason! He looks absolutely amazing, and I am so thrilled he is doing so well. Absolutely wonderful. GREAT GREAT GREAT job, Jason--and Exception. Fantastic. <3 I love him already. = ) You are the best snake daddy ever!
He's absolutely stunning, Jason! I love his face...

@twillis10 I do prefer them to be calmer, there is something very special about getting a snake that is more defensive by nature to trust you.
