He is privately very angry about the increasing opportunity and rights to achieve equality for black people. Once I turn 21 yrs old, I'll be doing my mission just like them. People have to learn how to respect. These poor guys go through the worst. Look, I am mormon and we are NOT racist. In fact we have a lot of Black, Hispanic, Asians and other places around the world in our church. Missionaries are people just like everyone else. They make mistakes like everyone else. These 19 yr old men leave their homes for 2 years just to preach the Gospel. If I had my druthers this video wouldn't exist on youtube, or the faces of the two LDS missionaries would be blurred. Can you image how humiliating this must have been for those two missionaries, especially now that everyone can see how this man made of fool of them by being completely rude to them. Though on the flip side, the world can catch a glimpse of the true 'unholiness' behind him and his cult. I think he's shaming both the black community and the Christian community in this clip.
@MyKawaiiPeach If you are going to spend your time actively trying to convert people on the street to your religion, then you should be able to deal with some basic scrutiny. They could not answer basic questions. Sure the black guy was tough in terms of his beliefs, but he was no more "rude" than the mormon missionaries.

I think it's rather telling that the Georgia Preacher is all about confrontation, while the teenage Mormon boys are nothing but respectful. I have never seen a Mormon missionary claim that they know all the answers - they're just trying to get people to ask important questions and find out for themselves.

If you claim that you're spreading the word of God, and then ask complete strangers if they would like to be educated by you on God's teachings, you better be willing to enter into an in-depth conversation on the subject. Ouch. Yes that guy could have been harder on those missionaries and I commend him for the restraint he did have. I also commend him for studying his scriptures. But lets face it, he seemed more like a Pharasee looking to trap Jesus in word, than a Christian disciple loving a couple of fellow men. Those are the kind of tough experiences that can either strengthen or diminish a young missionary's resolve.
The roman empire didnt crucify christ. The Roman Empire did not care what any of their conquered territory believed in or worshiped. The Bible says the Son of God would be crucified by his own people. Isreal, modern day Jewish. So he was rejected. The prophets were all killed sealing their testimonies of Christ thus beginning the dark ages.

Here's the deal. He may not perfectly quote the scriptures, but he has the idea right. When a Mormon comes to my door, and asks to share his belief with me I welcome him. However, when I tell him I am a Christian, he tells me that he is as well. Am I the only one who sees the problem here? If we're both "Christian", why do I need to be taught the truth from another Christian? Differences exist. Let me know if you want to know more. @ItalianGregory actually, Mormonism is not a part of Christianity. It does have certain attributes associated with Christianity, but you can say the same thing with Judaism, Catholicism, or Islam. The problem that I see with Mormonism, is that the core aspect that defines who is a Christian and who isn't, is the belief that Jesus Christ is our one and "only" saviour and only through him, can we get to the father and thus the salvation of our souls. I think the preacher's hilarious but I don't see the logic in his argument. To say that John said this is the end and you can't add anything to it is taking the scritpure out of context. The Bible wasnt compiled until a couple centuries after John wrote that. John was talking about his book or his writings, not the entire Bible as the Bible was not the Bible at that point in time.

The two sticks were joined together in one hand, indicating that two nations would someday be rejoined in the millennial restoration of Israel as one nation under one royal power headed by David. The sticks represented two royal powers or nations. These were the northern and southern kingdoms of Israel and Judah.

The early saints were not slave owners as there good Baptist, Methadist and Catholic neighbors were. A black person could have membership, and God does change things as he goes along. Depending on th epeople he is teaching life to. As a Latter day Saint I am color blind and one of my best friends is black. I ask him one day what about blacks and the priesthood? he said, "haven't even considered it". Why? because he new the gospel was true and lived it and is a good man.

Can you image how humiliating this must have been for those two missionaries, especially now that everyone can see how this man made of fool of them by being completely rude to them. I think it's rather telling that the Georgia Preacher is all about confrontation, while the teenage Mormon boys are nothing but respectful. I have never seen a Mormon missionary claim that they know all the answers - they're just trying to get people to ask important questions and find out for themselves.
The Mormon missionaries didn't get upset or try to dominate the conversation - that was all the Georgia Preacher's actions. The missionaries even try to shake his hand, and he refuses it.

Ouch. Yes that guy could have been harder on those missionaries and I commend him for the restraint he did have. I also commend him for studying his scriptures. But lets face it, he seemed more like a Pharasee looking to trap Jesus in word, than a Christian disciple loving a couple of fellow men. Those are the kind of tough experiences that can either strengthen or diminish a young missionary's resolve.

Here's the deal. He may not perfectly quote the scriptures, but he has the idea right. When a Mormon comes to my door, and asks to share his belief with me I welcome him. However, when I tell him I am a Christian, he tells me that he is as well. Am I the only one who sees the problem here? If we're both "Christian", why do I need to be taught the truth from another Christian? Differences exist. Let me know if you want to know more. @ItalianGregory actually, Mormonism is not a part of Christianity. It does have certain attributes associated with Christianity, but you can say the same thing with Judaism, Catholicism, or Islam. The problem that I see with Mormonism, is that the core aspect that defines who is a Christian and who isn't, is the belief that Jesus Christ is our one and "only" saviour and only through him, can we get to the father and thus the salvation of our souls. @"Before I knew the scriptures" Uh...when did this guy show he knew the scriptures? I didn't see it. This preacher didn't smoke the missionaries. We don't worship Joseph Smith. We believe in all the prophets and apostles of God. We believe in Jesus Christ despite what the preacher said.

At no time has God ever said that the Bible is all that we need. This is a myth and a satanic idea. God continues to reveal new truths to mankind. The Book of Mormon does nothing to take away anything from the Bible. It is simply another testament of Jesus Christ. It's one thing if someone decides to not believe in the Book of Mormon. They have every right to do so. But why do so many people freak out at the concept that there are other scriptures put forth by God other than the Bible?

I think the preacher's hilarious but I don't see the logic in his argument. To say that John said this is the end and you can't add anything to it is taking the scritpure out of context. The Bible wasnt compiled until a couple centuries after John wrote that. John was talking about his book or his writings, not the entire Bible as the Bible was not the Bible at that point in time.

Well... if the LDS followers would really take up that bible they would CLEARLY see that Mormonism is not a fair, or correct representation of who God is, or the never ending love and grace that he has for us.

the Georgia preacher was RACIST. how can you preach Christ being racist. now those particular missionaries did lose their cool but it was only because this guy was attacking them. and mormons do not worship joseph smith, thats the most ignorant thing to say about the church. their church preaches Christ, repentance, and the value of family. Christ and God are the only ones worshiped in this church

In that time he was looked upon as a grungy mountain man, but he was a strong believer that paved the way for Jesus' ministry. Who cares what this guy is wearing? He is defending God's word. Look, if ever comfronted by missionaries (MORMONS READ WHAT I SAY AND TRUELY THINK AND LOOK AT YOURSELVES) simply say.. it is foolish to pray about things you know are not God’s will. It would be wrong of me to pray about whether adultery is right, when the Bible clearly says it is not. Similarly, it would be wrong of me to pray about the Book of Mormon when one can so easily demonstrate that it is not the word of God. They look at you like you hit em in the face with a fucking stick "BUT"

@bluebook83. Ezekiel 37: 15 is not to be taken literally. The Mormon Church uses this passage to supposedly refer to a prophecy of the Book of Mormon. The two sticks were joined together in one hand, indicating that two nations would someday be rejoined in the millennial restoration of Israel as one nation under one royal power headed by David. The sticks represented two royal powers or nations. These were the northern and southern kingdoms of Israel and Judah.

The stick of Ephraim (Ancient records not writen elsewhere in the bible) will testify the stick of Judah (Bible) and be once again one in our hand - Ezekiel 37:15-19. The early saints were not slave owners as there good Baptist, Methadist and Catholic neighbors were. A black person could have membership, and God does change things as he goes along. Depending on th epeople he is teaching life to. As a Latter day Saint I am color blind and one of my best friends is black. I ask him one day what about blacks and the priesthood? he said, "haven't even considered it". Why? because he new the gospel was true and lived it and is a good man.
