I purchased two of these last year and neither of them lasted a year! My friends went out first and it wouldn't even power up. Mine went out a few months latter, it still plays but has a blank screen. I contacted the retailer for the one year warranty and his reply was to get it fix here to save time and money" UGH Anybody have a clue what i can look for because im about to tear into this thing myself

how can i reset this stereo. i cant make it power up, and when i press reset a red light comes on but it wont power up.

@s2knott its a Toyota 4 runner....and i disconnected the battery for 2 day. i also replaced the timing belt and the oil pump.

These are listed as Kenwood KRC-503 on ebay by hi5wholesale. They're trying to sell a piece of junk as a name brand item. Piece of garbage. Should be ashamed of themselves. They're selling them for approximately US $150.00. Real quality in a double din touch screen unit. /sarcasm

I bought one of these... biggest piece of crap I've ever owned... misspelled words, as you can see there is an edit when he clicks on dvd, because words are misspelled and its very slow. my usb doesnt even read when its cold. you get what you pay for, take it from a guy who got screwed with this

Mine works perfectly, and its not slow at all... installed tomtom 8 on it without problems, the mispelled word is easy to change with antoher template wich is accessible in win ce

thanks for being honest man, do you thinki should buy a better one of these china made... i have thier firmware i wish more buttons were green instead of blue... im deciding what to as far as a radio unit, cause im also going to be a doing a carputer on my nissan, and i have an avic n1 without a brain, but i rather sell that and get one of these double units.. what do you think? do you recommend any of them... im going to have 2 screens in the car, a tft and a radio. Are these sunlight readable?

I promise you if you get this you'll regret it, if you can change the entire firmware and os on this beast then it may be ok, otherwise its a trainwreck... it seems like freshmen student engineers did this as a project

rly?... i can agree, i have a friend who designed a similar kitchen style lcd and i know what you mean. Its versatile though you have to admit, im not being arrogant about it but what do you think about the new? SZC1834 goes for about $425 seems kind of fair its either that or I buy a brian for a avic n1 unit i got + wires, update discs and mod the gauge screen and boot image on that too... so which one do you think i should mod, avic n1 or asian 2 din...?? cause i simply hate both menu displays
