It is possoble that the zombies have been eating a poison from a fish, because this posion make their heart beat very slowely, so people buried them thinking they are dead. The posion go out of body after a whiile, days maybe. And maybe the whitch doctors know about this poison, and use it on the victims, but they make it look like something else like preyers etc..

I'm suprised to hear of something like that, never knew about this until a news article I recently read that was about zombies in Haiti.
