It all depends on what kind of sound you want. I think the green has a modified cat, I just don't like the sound of an exhaust when you screw with the cat's. You may get better performance, I just don't like the sound.

There's no replacement for displacement. I have a 98 dakota sport, 5.2, 3.55's, nv3500 manual. SWB 2wd. I love my dakota. my buddy had a newer ram with the 4.7, nothing but problems

in this video the 5.2 def takes the cake. though just to look at some facts though magnaflow does make a much better exhaust sound/volume. along with it the 5.2 being a good deal larger then the 4.7l. also high flow cats dont help much for dodge's. the 4.7l is a ballsy engine and can sound loud and good. i have a 4.7l durango. i think that 4.7 can sound as good as the 5.2 give it the same setup. that'd be a nice comparison. both sound good though, nice trucks!!

the red 5.2 sounds more like a high performance exhaust better flow i like it but the tail lights dont look so good on that truck. now the green 4.7 to me sounds like a cheap dual exhuast bought from a low budget shop and the 4.7 is not that great of an engine vs the 5.2 and i sould know ive had fooled with both of these engines. GO MOPAR!

the 4.7 sounds much better... plus the 5.2 doent have much more juiice than the 5.7 w/o mods... the original 318 had a tiny carb and sucked until you put a 4 barrel in it and the efi n the new one is ok but not to good... plus the my friend has a lowered 5.2 dakota and my other friend has a regular one in his and the regular was just about even... and the lowered barely could outpull it

They are both mopars so thats all that matters. The 318 sounds like a clean 318 & the 4.7 sounds great as well. The 4.7 has a sound unlike any other v8 on the road due to the head design. Very raspy, but in a nice way!
