From what i have googled i've learned this is one of Poe's poems and the score was partially written by James Horner but he had to back out of the movie and John Debney took over. They were going to cut it out of the movie but they had already filmed SJP's part and didn't want to cut it.

If I had all the money in the world, I would get a hold of Sarah Jessica Parker (assuming it was really her voice in the movie) and John Debney and James Horner and have them compose a full extended version of this song properly with full lyrics. @DannyElDuro the original was in hocus pocus sung by sarah jessica parker. hocus pocus version was a lot shorter than this. it had 2 of the verses from this version. any ways it was a spell that one of the witches sung in hocus pocus to lure children to there death. the witches would suck the souls of the children.

She spellbinds them into following her back to her abode where she will eventually kill them, "Tomorrow you all will be history".

The other version sounds lighter and sweeter...this verson is more forboding. Of course I'm talking lyric wise. Melody is the same and beautiful vocals. But the other verson talks of the children playing, resting, smiling, and still playing at the end of the song.

This verson starts with the children playing in the garden...but by the end we get a sense that they're not playing anymore.

Wonderful that with a twisting of words there's a completely new tone. <3 ^_^
